Chapter 66: In search of Omurice

The streets of Akihabara buzzed with life—fshing neon signs, chattering crowds, and the hum of arcade machines spilling out from packed game centers. Harry had barely taken a step forward before Luna, her eyes sparkling with excitement, grabbed his hand and pulled him toward a nearby storefront.

“Come on, Harry! We’re going in!” she decred, practically bouncing on her heels.

Harry barely had time to gnce at the sign before the door swung open, and he was dragged inside. The chime of a bell announced their arrival.

“Welcome home, Master and Mistress!” a chorus of cheerful voices rang out.

Harry blinked, taking in the pastel-colored walls, heart-shaped chairs, and the maids in frilly uniforms smiling brightly at them. He groaned. “Luna… did you just drag me into a maid café?”

Luna grinned, unabashed. “Yep! We’re on a date, so I wanted to try something fun.”

A maid with short, silver hair and bright golden eyes bounded up to them. “Oh my gosh! You two are adorable! First time here?”

Luna nodded enthusiastically while Harry rubbed his temples. “I can’t believe this is happening.”

The energetic maid, a girl with short, silver hair and sharp eyes, beamed at them. “Welcome to Stile! I’m Kaho, and I’ll be your maid today!”

Harry barely had time to process that before another maid approached—a tall girl with long, bck hair tied neatly with a ribbon. Her sharp gaze locked onto them, and a smirk pyed at her lips.

“Ah… new customers,” she mused, voice dripping with cool confidence. “How unfortunate.”

Luna cpped her hands together excitedly. “Ooooh! A sadistic maid character! Harry, I love this pce already.”

Harry sighed, resigning himself to his fate as Luna practically sparkled with excitement. They were guided to a cozy corner table, where a ce-trimmed menu was delicately pced before them. The café bustled with life, other patrons ughing as maids pyfully teased their customers, drawing heart shapes in ketchup on omelet rice or performing cute chants to “make the food taste better.”

Kaho, their assigned maid, leaned forward with an expectant grin. “So, what would Master and Mistress like to order today? N-not like I need to take your order HUMPH!” She says turning her head sharply to the left and crossed her arms.

Kaho turned her head away with an exaggerated hmph. “H-Hmph! I’m only doing my job, okay?! What will you have?”

Luna scanned the menu, clearly enjoying every second of this. “Hmm… ooooh, they have a special couples parfait! We have to get that, Harry.”

Harry raised an eyebrow. “It’s bright pink and shaped like a heart.”

“Exactly,” Luna said with a satisfied nod. “And I’ll take the omurice. I want the maid to draw something on it!”

Kaho giggled. “Good choice, Mistress! And for Master? NOT THAT I LIKE CALLING YOU TWO THAT!”

Harry sighed. “I’ll just have the curry.”

“Oh, I’ll also take a pokemon battle!” Luna cheers pulling out her pink gameboy with a copy of pokemon Red.

Kaho blinked, caught completely off guard. “W-Wait, what?! A Pokémon battle?!”

Luna nodded enthusiastically, flipping open her pink Game Boy and grinning. “Yep! Maid cafés offer little games with the maids, right? So, let’s battle!”

Kaho’s face turned a deep shade of pink. “I-I wasn’t ready for this… but f-fine! D-Don’t think I’ll go easy on you, just because you’re a customer!” She quickly reached into her apron and pulled out a Game Boy Pocket in silver, much to Harry’s mild surprise.

Kaho puffed up her chest. “I’ll have you know, I’m really good! I’ve got a full team of level 50s!”

Luna’s grin widened. “Oh? Then this will be fun~.”

As they connected the Link Cable, Harry sighed, leaning back in his seat. “This date is turning into an experience.”

Luna giggled, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Isn’t it great?”

The café bustled around them, but now, all eyes were on the impromptu Pokémon battle.

  ===

Kaho trudged back to their table, her shoulders slumped and a pout firmly set on her face. She pced the tray down with exaggerated care, muttering under her breath.

“Here’s your omurice, Mistress… your curry, Master…” she grumbled, clearly still reeling from the thorough defeat Luna had just handed her.

Luna beamed as she watched Kaho pick up the ketchup bottle to draw on the omurice. “Aww, don’t be sad, Kaho! You put up a good fight!”

Kaho shot her a gre but quickly turned her head away with an embarrassed huff. “I-It’s not like I care about winning or anything! I was just… letting you have fun, okay? USING 6 Level 100 Dragoinites is UNFAIR!”

Harry raised an eyebrow. “Right. Of course.”

“You forgot the ketchup drawing.” Luna states

Kaho ignored her and carefully drew a chubby little Gengar on Luna’s omurice, finishing it off with a small heart. “There! Happy now?”

Luna cpped her hands. “It’s perfect! Thank you, Kaho~!”

Kaho crossed her arms. “Hmph. Just eat your food already.”

As Harry took a bite of his curry, he sighed in contentment. “At least the food’s good.”

Luna, happily cutting into her omurice, giggled. “And the entertainment was fantastic!”

Kaho groaned, hiding her face in her hands. “I’ll never live this down…”
