Chapter 63:

Luna arched an eyebrow, her smirk returning. "Prove it, huh? Alright, but don’t blink—you might miss it."

She took a deep breath, and the air around her shimmered like moonlight on water. A hush fell over the room as ahereal wind picked up, carrying the st of midnight roses and a magic.

  Then, the ge began.

A pulse of silvery-blue energy rippled from Luna’s body, her form shifting as great feathered wings unfurled from her back, their deep indigo hue speckled with stars. Her human-like appearance faded, repced by something far more equine in nature.

The glow of her horn intensified, and a soft, melodic hum filled the air, resonating deep within the bones of everyone present. The very shadows in the room bent toward her, drawn to her presence like moths to a fme.

"Does this satisfy you?" Luna asked, her voice yered almost fn as she moved her mouth and the sounds that shouldve came out were definitely not meant to be human in nature.

Yasaka took a step back, her golden eyes wide, her breath caught ihroat. The guards, once poised for battle, now stood frozen in revereails low, ears flicked back.

Yasaka’s voice was barely above a whisper. “...By Inari’s grace.” She swallowed hard, steadying herself before speaking again. “Then it’s true. The lost princess of Equestria stands before me.”

Daphne exhaled, folding her arms. “Drama queen.”

Harry just nodded. “She does have a fir for the dramatic, though.”

Luna grinned, her wings foldily at her sides. “Well, when you’ve been gone for a millennium, you learn to make aranow about those Visa’s because I want to hit mount Akina tonight.”

Yasaka blinked, momentarily thrown off by Luna’s sudden shift in priorities. “...I beg your pardon?”

Luna grinned, her wings tug ly against her sides. “You heard me. I need a supernatural tourist visa because I pn to go mountain pass rag. Japan has some of the best driving roads in the world, and I fully io experiehem properly.”

Daphne sighed, and remembered from the brief versations over the school year that Luna wao go Running in the 90s.

Harry nodded excitedly aswell afterall his lovely wife had told him that it would be more fun than broom rag.

Yasaka stared at them, then at Luna, and the out a slow breath before rubbiemples. “You shattered my wards, bypassed every yer of magical security I have, and revealed yourself as a lost princess of aire fotten realm... just so you could get a visa to drive on mountain passes?”

Luna nodded enthusiastically. “Yes. Also, I’d rather not get arrested by supernatural border patrol for ‘unauthorized dream-walking’ or ‘existential viotions of reality’ or whatever bureaucratisense would normally apply.”

Yasaka muttered something under her breath about how ridiculous outsiders could be before finally sighing i. “Fine. I’ll have the paperwork arranged. But I swear, if I hear that some mysterious ali has caused an iional i by outdrifting a tengu in the middle of the night…”

Luna beamed. “Oh, don’t worry. If I cause an i, it’ll be way bigger than that. I mean on the way here we actally pierced the great Hakuri Barrier”

Yasaka paused mid-thought, her expression shifting from exasperation to something more thoughtful. “...You pierced the Hakurei Barrier?” she repeated, tilting her head slightly. “And Yukari just… let you go?”

Luna nodded cheerfully. “Yep! She seemed very eained by the whole thing. She even gave us some snacks and told us to have fun before vanishing into one of her gaps.”

Yasaka let out a slow sigh, shaking her head. “That sounds abht.” Her golden eyes flicked over them once more before she leaned back slightly. “And how is Yukari these days? I haven’t had a proper versation with her in some time.”

Harry and Daphne exged looks before Harry shrugged. “She seemed… amused? Maybe a little too amused.”

Daphne nodded. “She definitely gave me the impression that she enjoys watg things spiral into chaos from the sidelines.”

Yasaka gave a small chuckle. “That is the most accurate description of Yukari I’ve heard in a while.” Her tails flicked zily behind her before she sighed again. “Well, I suppose if she didn’t see an issue with your little border mishap, then it’s not my problem either.”

Luna cpped her hands together. “Great! So, about that paperwork—”

Yasaka shot her a look. “You’re really not going to let this go, are you?”

Luna smirked. “Nope. My goal is eurobeat and Adrenaline.”

… “You two what are your names?” Yasaka asks looking at Harry Potter and Daphne deg to ignore Luna for now.

Harry straightened up slightly, a polite nod. "Harry Potter."

Daphanding beside him, crossed her arms but remained posed. "Daphne Greengrass-Crocell."

Yasaka's golden eyes flickered with reition at Harry’s name first. “Potter… as in the Boy-Who-Lived?” She gave him a once-over, her gaze sharp and evaluating. “You certainly don’t look like the stories cim.”

Harry sighed. “Yeah, I get that a lot.”

Thetention shifted to Daphne, and her expression became more thoughtful. “And Greengrass-Crocell... Crocell as in the demon?”

Daphne ined her head. “Yes. He’s my aor.”

Yasaka hummed, tapping her fingers against her sleeve. “Iing.” She gnced betweehen back to Luna, who was rog on her heels, clearly waiting for the versation to circle back to her request.

“Well,” Yasaka finally said, “you certainly keep iing pany, Princess Luna.”

Luna beamed. “Of course! What’s the point of an adventure if you don’t have a fun party to share it with?”

Yasaka sighed but shook her head, a small smirk tugging at her lips. “Fine. I’ll process your paperwork. But don’t cause too much trouble.”

Luna grinned wider. “Defioo much trouble.”

Yasaka groaned. “I regret this already.”
