Chapter 5 – I, Bai Fei’er, will not marry a useless person!

"The arrival of the Master of the Thousand Ghost Sect at our humble abode is a great honor for the Mo Family!"

"Haha, Elder Mo Xin, you're too kind. On this grand wedding day, I present a Millennium Purple Soul Flower as a token of goodwill from the Thousand Ghost Sect."

The Mo Family Residence was vast, with an excellent yout of courtyards, pavilions, and towers. The ba was already set, and over a hundred guests had arrived. Though not a rge hese were well-known cultivators within the Sunfre Empire, each representing their own powerful fas, none weaker than the Mo Family.

The Mo Family Aor sat at the head of the ba, feeling a sense of satisfa as he saw the bustling se. Once upon a time, the glory of the Mo Family's aors was just like this!

Unfortunately, the desdants were not as petent, losing the family business bit by bit. Now, they could only dominate in Greenwood City. In the past, those who came to celebrate were depe on the Mo Family's favor to survive!

But now, the Mo Family was once again experieng supreted grandeur!

Although, much of this was due to the Bai Family's influence.

The Mo Family Aor felt secretly pleased, a kind and amiable smile on his face as he addressed the crowd, "Ladies alemen, allow me to first offer a toast."

With that, he raised his cup, "Today is the wedding day of our Mo Family's eldest young master, Mo g. I toast to you all!"

As his words fell, he drank it all in one go, and the surrounding guests followed suit, drinking their cups dry.

Praises and pliments poured in, bringing a smile to the Mo Family Aor's face. He loved hearing these fttering words.

Except... whehought of the Nine-Lives Demon Cat, he still felt a pang ret.

  How did she mao escape?

With these thoughts, the Mo Family Aor's eyes flickered as he sat down, looking at the table nearby where Mo g was joking with a group of his familiar pyboy friends.

This made the Mo Family Aor frown.

This fellow was truly hopeless, but he was still his desdant. Although the Bai Family had married off a useless one, Bai Fei'er was someohe Mo Family Aor had seen before. Her beauty and demeanor were top-notch, so it wasn't a bad mato g.

They just had to wait for the Bai Family elder t Bai Fei'er out, and the wedding ceremony would proceed smoothly.

Meanwhile, Gu Heng arrived at the entrance of the Mo Family Residence, with Little Xi poking her head out from his arms, very quietly.

Many oners had e to withe grand wedding, mostly just to enjoy the festivities and have a good meal, not particurly ied in the marriage itself.

Gu Heng took out the Marriage Proposal Scroll, and the Mo Family guards let him in. But as he entered, he heard a disdainful voice behind him, "Hmph, a bunch of useless people, all here to freeload. They've never seen the world!"

Gu Heng paused for a moment but didn't turn back.

  He tinued walking inside.

Su Jinxi, however, looked at him in surprise. Such a hidden world master of medical arts, being insulted by someone barely strohan a oner, yet he remained so calm... It seemed that this level of detat wasn't something just any strong person could achieve.

At least, Su Jinxi couldn't do it.

The venue was rge, with oners seated at the farthest small tables.

  "Oh, Du is here too!"

"What a rare sight, Du, e find a seat. The food is really good!"

As Gu Heng walked in, many people greeted him. Most of them had been to his Medie Hall for treatment and were regurs. He respoo each greeting and casually chose ay seat, with a variety of dishes spread before him. Little Xi jumped out from his arms and nded oable.

The Mo Family Aor stood at the highest point of the ba, meeting the gazes around him with great pride.

"See that, that's the Mo Family Aor."

The middle-aged stonemason beside Gu Heng patted his shoulder, pointing at the Mo Family Aor with envy.

Gu Heng khis stonemason. He had been a cultivator in his early years, though he hadn't even reached the Foundatioablishment stage. Later, he was severely injured in a flict, his foundation pletely ruined. But he had been a cultivator and had seen the world, so when he spoke, Gu Heng followed his gaze.

  "Oh... just like that."

In fact, he had never seen a cultivator of such status, but Gu Heng didn't care. He had e to terms with it; if he couldn't be a cultivator, living as a oner wasn't so bad.

"Sigh! Du, you're really short-sighted! The Mo Family Aor reached the Divided Spirit stage a hundred years ago. There are only about ten Divided Spirit cultivators iire Sunfre Empire. We're lucky to see one in our lifetime!"

The stonemason shook his head, full of words like "what a pity."

Gu Heng wasn't ied, but he was willing to chat with him.

  "This elder is truly patient..."

Su Jinxi swished her tail, thinking to herself.

Joking aside, she had a lifespan of thousands of years and had seen much!

But the many herbs in that medie et, some even Su Jinxi hadn't seen before, made the stonemason's words seem ughable. The cultivation of the person before her was something even she couldn't dis, so the stonemasoainly couldn't. Yet he truly thought of Gu Heng as an inexperienced oner.

This was a Holy Sage medical sage! He didn't even need a pill furnace or true energy to refine medie!

She wao say this, but to avoid sg the oners and disturbing Gu Heng's leisurely life among them, she held back.

Besides, she was here to settle a score today!

The Mo Family Aor dared to hold a wedding, huh. As the Nine-Lives Demon Cat Grand Elder, she wouldn't tolerate being taken advantage of while sick!

Soon, she would disrupt the Mo Family!

At this moment, the atmosphere in the ba was lively, with guests toasting and exging drinks.

Then, the Mo Family Aor finally coughed twice.

This cough caught the attention of all the guests, who all looked up at the Mo Family Aor.

Suddenly, music pyed, and the previously noisy ba hall fell silent, for the bride was making her entrance!

Gu Heng also looked over. The woman in the red dress, covered by a rge red veil, had an incredibly graceful figure, stepping lightly as if lotus flowers bloomed beh her feet. She slowly walked in from the side, each step exuding a soft allure that struck deep into the souls of the men, drawing los of admiration.

Beside her was an elder in a green robe, whose stern and somewhat worried expression seemed odd.

But the ohere for the free meal didn't care about that.

"Truly as beautiful as a heavenly fairy!"

"Tsk, such a beauty, I wonder how the Mo Family mao win her from the Bai Family."

"That's not certain. I heard it was the Bai Family who proposed the alliahere's a story behind it. The woman being married off seems to be a waste now..."

The crowd buzzed with specution, and though they hadn't seen her face, many were already entranced by the woman.

Gu Heng squinted, a thoughtful look in his eyes.

Who was beh that red veil?

He felt the woman seemed somewhat familiar.

At this moment, the Mo Family Aor spoke, his voiing like a bell, "Ladies alemen, today is a joyous occasion for the Mo Family. The daughter of the Bai Family's patriarch, Bai Fei'er, will now join in marriage with our Mo Family's eldest young master, Mo g. Please bear witness!"

The atmosphere soared again, with the guests eg their agreement. Mo g rose and walked to the Mo Family Aor's side.

But Bai Fei'er, hiddeh her red veil, showed no expression. Only the Mo Family Aor seemed to sense something amiss...

Then, as she approached, a sharp sword light fshed!

With one swift motion, she cut through her veil, and in an instant, the aura of a seventh-level Elemental Infant burst forth, stirring the spiritual energy withieps around her, stunning the crowd!

The aura rushed toward Mo g, filling him with terror. Fortunately, the Mo Family Aor was nearby and deflected it with a wave of his sleeve.

"Hmph, join in marriage!? I, Bai Fei'er, was once a genius, and I still am!

I will not marry such a useless waste!"

Bai Fei'er's sword pointed directly at Mo g, her long hair flowing, her red dress like fire. This sudden turn of events left everyone dumbfounded.

Su Jinxi watched from the stage, secretly amused...

It seemed she wasn't the only one who wao see the Mo Family humiliated at this wedding.

Gu Heng was equally surprised, for the woman in the red dress, now in a standoff, was her than Bai Fei'er, who had visited his Medie Hall earlier today!
