Chapter 89

  The Titan Giant Ape moved through the forest incredibly nimble. Despite its size, its enormous body moved through the forest with fluent elegance, almost flying through the green.

  Tang San was running full speed, barreling forward full speed, his small figure almost vanishing in the giant trees, His eyes fixed on the stantly distang further Ape. Only a blue streak was visible as he gained even more speed.

  But the Ape moved in an uermined course, even faster then him, familiar with the terrain, Tang San internally despaired, the lump in is throat gowing with each metre the Ape vanished further into the distanbsp; while he was straining just to gain another seore speed, a little faster, a little more, but he did not stand a bsp;

  He lost sight of it. Letting out a scream of frustratioarted trag it down, following the path of broken brances and the odd footprint on the ground. He couldn't give up; he was not allowed to give up.

  Xiao Wu

  --

  If anyone had seen Xiao Wu right now, they would have doubted their eyes. She was not trapped ihe Giant Tita proudly stood on its shoulder, stable and with her hand buried into the Ape's fur to hold on. She wore a worried expression on her face, occasionally looking backward.

  "Er Ming." She said, stroking the Giant Titian Ape. "Let me go. I have to hurry back as fast as possible. The others will be worried. You shouldn't have e." She left out that she prayed that nothing had happeo Tang Yin; it would have destroyed Tang San, and he might have been hurt as well.

  The tter thought one she couldn't evehinking to the end. If Tang San was hurt. The pain that spread through her heat at the thought wanted her to make her wail.

  Hearing her words, the Titan Giant Ape slowed down until it finally halted and bowed down to let Xiao Wu desd from its shoulder, making a whining sound. Its expression was i and sad.

  She stroked its fur and then muttered to herself leanning against it. "Brother San robably injured. He will worry since Sister Yin robably hurt as well. His twin is the most important to him and I ot bear to know he may have e to any harm. I ot stay. I have to leave, you shouldn't have gone pick me up." She gazed at the Ape with big eyes. "Er Ming. The ime you sense my smell, you must first pay attention to who I am with. Don't act so rashly. I don't wish for my friends to be hurt and it would hurt my heart to see all of you fighting."

  The Titan Giant Ape seemed to uand Xiao Wu. Its ntern-like eyes were brilliant, and it had an exceptionally gentle expression as it leaned lightly inteoubsp;

  "Er Ming, is Da Ming well?" she asked, and the Ape retreated and nodded.

  "That is good. But truly, Er Ming, I have to return. My friends will be worried, and maybe they are also ihough since yht me away, I might as well grab the ce to get my third spirit Ring. Please, will you stand wate?" She asked the Ape, whiodded after a moment of hesitation, growling slightly.

  "Thank you, Er Ming." She hugged his giant head. "I know you don't like the mention of spirit masters and rings. Will it light enlighten your heart that at least one of them has always avoided killing spirit beasts. I am not the only one a few call their friend, and they know he is one."

  Er, Ming blinked and then hummed at a low frequency. Asking whom she was talking about.

  "It's Jiang. The Gravekeeper. I have hought I might ever meet him." she said, making Er Ming blink, surprised and shocked alike as Xiao Wu smiled. "He is, I believe, quite charmed by one of them, Tang Yin. Who would have thought by someone as incredible elusive as he is. Now I really have to get going ale my third ring." She said, spreading her hands, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. A long, waning, and bizarre sound escaped her mouth as her eyes snapped open, burning crimson red.

  Two yellow spirit rings floated around her, as she rose from the ground, h, they were weaving up and down her body; an enormous, wide shadow took shape behind her, resembling a rabbit. A faint red light emittied from it that slowly grew more and more intense. Scarlet-like blood light c the surroundings britghter and brighter.

  The Titan Giant Ape y beside her, watg the burning crimson light. Both of its rge eyes longingly looked at her. Time passed slowly as a yer of purple started beied for her body. Starlight-like streaks spread around her, f a ring, piece by piece. The purple ring at first faint began to set firmly around her.

  She took a deep breath and then hovered back to the ground. Her spirit rings now three, one purple and two yellow. She also appeared slightly older. Her features more refinded her eyes mrown up, older then before. She turned backwards a out a sigh before hugging Er Ming a st time, kissing him goodbye on the cheek whispering see you before she headed back the way they had e from vanishing into the forest like a phantom.

  Leaning against a tree, Tang San gasped for air. His bruised limbs hurt. He stared toward where Xiao Wu had gone as he started moving again. Gritting his teeth, he forced his battered body to move further. With his purple demon eye, w he tracked ead every trace the Titan ape had left with grim determination.

  Tang San dragged his body further and further. He remembered the image of Xiao Wu, driven by it, her dazzling smile, how she called him Big Brother, and how she and Yiime together. How his two most important people were safe and happy.

  "Go." He muttered to himself. F more out of his scraming limps.

  Go. No way I'll give up here.

  He had never believed in gods before; he had occassionally cursed with Yin upon the gods of her world. In his mind, he now prayed to Yins God with all his might that he would bee a believer, to do near everything for the possibility to find Xiao Wu alive, healthy and life. T her babsp;
