The doctor chuckled. "Of course! But remember-brush your teeth a healthy, okay, champ?"

The child grinned. "Of course I will!"

The mother held the child’s left hand, and the father held the child’s right hand.

As Dr. Zoshant watched the child happily leave with both parents, he was interrupted by another doctor—Dr. Chad.

"You’re not going to say anything about being the mystery man who sent them the money, huh, Zane?" Dr. Chad asked, amused.

Dr. Zoshant, or Zane, nodded with a grin. "Yep! I don’t like drawing attention to myself. I don’t want them thanking me, you know?"

"Yes, yes… I’m well aware, Dr. Zoshant." Dr. Chad paused, then asked with , "You’re not tiring yourself out, are you? I heard from the others that you took on my share of the work so I could be with my wife during her delivery."

"No, no, it wasn’t a problem at all," Zane reassured him. "My son was on a field trip that day, so I just happeo have a lot of free time."

Dr. Chad shook his head. "You don’t get it, Zane. You gave me one of the best moments of my life by handling all that work. Words ’t express how grateful I am."

Zane chuckled. "It’s fine, really. I’d rather you be with your family thauck here. You’re human, not a mae."

Dr. Chad sighed but smiled. "Yes, yes… oh, I almost fot!" He pulled a small box from his pocket. "My wife was so grateful for what you did for us that she made cheesecake for you and your son."

  "Ah, you didn’t have to—"

Dr. Chad cut him off. "Please… I insist. If you won’t take it for yourself, then take it for your son."

Zane sighed but ughed. "Yeah, my boy will be very happy."

"He’s a teenager nht? Handsome and popur, I hear? Even a genius?" Dr. Chad teased.

"You have no idea… the boy is a literal dies’ man, uionally. Then again, my te wife was the same—she attracted a lot of boys… and she was definitely a genius," Zane sighed. "He really is his mother’s son."

Dr. Chad ughed. "Ah, I see! But he must look a little like yht?"

"He’s got my skin color, but that’s about it."

"HAH! I see. But regardless, he’s a good kid, right?"

Zane nodded. "Yep, he is… though… I think he’s entering his rebellious phase."

Dr. Chad tilted his head, crossing his arms. "Oh, snap… that’s gotta be tough, right?"

"Nah, it just means he’s shy… they call it being a tsundere. His mother had moments like that too, I remember." Zane smiled, fondly recalling his te wife.

Dr. Chad smiled. "Dang, I guess those behaviors really run strong in the bloodline."

"You have no idea how true that is."

Both Dr. Chad and Zane shared a ugh.

"Anyway, you gotta go home, right?" Dr. Chad asked.

"Ah, yes, I do," Zane replied.

"I see. ime you have some free time, please give me some advi how to handle my kid."

Zane blihen smiled warmly. "You’ll do fine, I promise. Parenthood is something you learn as you go, and it’s unique for everyone. You just have to be there for your kids and not judge them. That way, your kid will e to you for help. Of course, you’ll make mistakes along the way, but it’ll all be okay in the end as long as you express your true thoughts to your child. You and your kid will learn together."

Dr. Chad paused, nodding slowly as he thought deeply about Zane’s words. "I think I get it. But I still ask you for advice when I , right?"

  Zane smiled sincerely. "Anytime."

Dr. Chad’s face softened into a smile. "Really, thank you once again. I’ve already taken up a lot of your time. Please, go home, Dr. Zoshant. You’ve already done a lot today."

"Then I’ll excuse myself. Thanks for the cheesecake."

I saw his eyes widen slightly-subtle, but I knew him well enough to tell that he definitely wa.

"A cowave it to me as thanks," I added.

De raised a brow. "What did you do this time?"

"You could say I helped out a little." I chuckled. "Anyway, since I’m bae…"

I walked over and pulled him into a hug befgressively ruffling his hair.

  "Dad, e on… I’m 15," he grumbled, clearly embarrassed.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. But you’re still my son. Since I’m the only one here, I have to give you both my love and your mother’s."

De turned his head slightly, a hint of pink dusting his cheeks. "You’re way too affeate."

"Of course I am! Just having you here with me is a blessing, you know."

De’s fiwitched slightly before he let out a small sigh and, albeit hesitantly, hugged me back. "...Thanks, Dad."
