Chapter 63: An Invitation from the Mage Tower

The fact that the final part of the premiere featured a collective tribute from all the lead actors and produ staff was something none of the audience expected.

However, upon witnessing this special moment at the end of the premiere, everyone presehat ing to the event was well worth it.

Clearly, this special gesture was an exclusive treat for the premiere, and such a thing would never happen during the regur sings.

After all, actors and directors aren't obligated to be present in the ema every siime.

Due to the special nature of the Headless Horseman and Wiz's identities, they were nht on stage, but her seemed to mind.

With the closing ceremony pleted, and after the entire cast and crew of Goblin Syer had left the stage, most of the audience was also ready to leave.

No matter how good the movie was, o was over, they had to leave as per the rules.

This included General Wilhelm and Knight ander Wycliffe, even though Rhianding beside them, seemed quite intrigued by the film's produ crew and wao stay longer. But as men with high military ranks and responsibilities, both the general and the knight kheir priorities.

Their main reason for ing to the Southerory was to discuss the situation ing the orgdom in the west of the empire with the Southern Duke.

"Are we really leaving? Aren’t we going to watch the movie?" Rhine said with sret in his voice.

General Wilhelm ughed and replied, "Once we’ve settled matters with the Southern Duke, we’ll e back. Priorities first. Getting to see such a groundbreaking performaoday was more than enough."

Wycliffe chimed in loudly, "The general is right! Don’t push your luck, Rhine. Even though the film turned out to be more iing than I thought, it’s still just a pastime. We’ve got serious busio attend to!"

"...Uood," Rhine said with a sigh of frustration. "I was hoping to meet that Goblin Syer in person. Even though my first impression of him wasn’t great, now I’m impressed. Who knew an adventurer who only sys goblins could be so cool!"

"Haha! That’s because you haven’t seen enough yet. Most of the adventurers from the North are like that: meticulous in every mission and ensuriher they nor their panions end up in danger. But even I find it hard to read this Goblin Syer. If I could, I’d recruit him, especially with the looming threat of war with the orgdom. Someone like him would be a great asset," Wilhelm said thoughtfully.

"Speaking of which, did you find the name of the director on the credits familiar? Edward... I feel like I’ve heard that name before," Wilhelm said with a frown.

Rhine and Wycliffe both looked puzzled.

Clearly, they were not familiar with the name of the director who had created this ematic marvel.

Wilhelm, after thinking hard for a moment, also couldn’t recall where he had heard the name aually let the topic drop.

As the three of them walked through the crowd, still buzzing with excitement over the Goblin Syer movie, they made their way toward a private teleportation station.

They weren’t the only ones leaving, of course.

Many of those who had just watched the premiere were now spreading the word about the film’s storyline.

  As a result, despite the theater not having unched a major marketing campaign, word about Goblin Syer spread rapidly across Nosribsp;

And when Edward annouhat the movie would officially begin sing the day, with tickets still priced at just five copper s, the news caused a sensation.

  ...

The premiere of Goblin Syer was a massive success.

Even Edward, watg from behind the ses, could feel it.

With the pletion of one majoal, he suddenly found himself with some free time.

The work of promoting the film was now in the hands of Baniel, who was already making pns to expand Nosrick ema work into the Northerorys.

However, uanding that the Northerory had a vastly different culture from the Southerory, Baniel had decided to visit the North in person before finalizing any designs for the heaters.

Meanwhile, the Adventurer’s Guilds of both the northern and Southerories were frantically beginning their own work.

Thanks to Edward, these once-separated guilds had now united and were w together to improve the guild system.

With the movie finished, Edward suddenly felt a rare emptiness in his life.

He realized it was time to start w on his film.

Of course, with Goblin Syer just beginning to take off, there lenty of time to pn for his project.

So, with this newfound free time, Edward turned his attention to another matter he had long wao tackle.

  At Durin Castle.

As the light of the teleportation array flickered, Edward’s figure sloeared outside the castle gates.

As soon as he ehe castle, a maid who had not seen him for some time rushed over with aed expression and excimed, "Lord Durin! You’re finally back!"

Seeing Winry so eager to greet him, almost as if she wao give him a hug but held back because of her status, Edward smiled and patted her head.

  He suddenly realized that he had fotten to design a teleportation el between the Durin family estate and Nosribsp;

However, sieleportation arrays required immense magical energy, without someone like Edward—a high-level mage—to act as a "living battery," the arrays couldn’t fun properly.

  This issue wasn’t exclusive to teleportation magibsp;

Edward’s pn to sell Imaging Crystal had also failed rgely because ordinary people didn’t possess the magic power o activate them.

This highlighted a much bigger problem: many magical veniences couldn’t be enjoyed by ordinary people because they didn’t have the magical energy to power them.

This was the key barrier preventing magical iions from reag the wider public: the ck of a universal energy source.

This relianages to el magiergy also stuhe development of magic-based teology.

Most magical iions were limited in scope because only a small group of people had the power to use them.

Edward wao ge this. But he knew he couldn’t do it alone.

While Magic Video Recorder and Imaging Crystal allowed ordinary people to ily enjoy the bes of magic, these items were still essentially exclusive to mages.

Without magical power, they simply couldn’t be operated.

The problem of how to let ordinary people use magical energy was somethiher Edward nor the alchemists of the past had been able to solve. It had eveo the dee of alchemy, as there was no practical application for its iions in everyday life.

However, Edward believed his iions were not without value.

Uhe alchemy devices of the past, his Magic Video Recorder and Imaging Crystal had one decisive differehey could do something that mages couldn’t do on their own!

That’s why Edward was fident that his iions could ge the world. They would redefine alchemy’s p the magical unity.

As he was pting these long-held ideas, Edward had barely had a ce to sit down when suddenly, there was a magical disturbaside the castle.

Startled, Edward quickly made his way to the entrance, where he found Roy, the chief mage under Grand Duke Viktor, waiting respectfully.

Before Edward could ask anything, Roy pulled out a letter from his cloak and said, "Baron Durin, this is from Master Hohenheim."

  "..."

After a brief moment of surprise, Edward carefully opehe letter to find a single piece of paper inside. But he immediately uood its significe: it was an invitation to the highest academiference of the Mage Tower.

This Mage Tower' academiference was, in simple terms, the magical world’s equivalent of the Nobel Prize—or perhaps even more prestigious.

Every time this ference was held, it caused a paradigm shift in the magical unity.
