Shokei and her party continues onward to the door. Navigating through another passageway, the party encountered traps as they have to avoid spike pits, portcullis, and deadly arrow traps that are in their way. Going in further, the party sees a door ahead. However, the door appears golden as it looks special. Shokei approaches the door and tries to open it.

  "Oh no! It's locked." Shokei said in disappointment.

  "We should find another door somewhere." Mizuki said to her. "I'm sure that there could be a key to open the door."

  "Right." Shokei said.

  The party leaves behind the door and continue onward through the passageway. There, they see a normal door that is not far away from the locked door. Shokei makes it to the door and opens it.

  The party walks inside the room. Inside the room, they can see that there are five treasure boxes that are in this room. The party goes around inspecting the boxes to see what's inside. The first two boxes contained nothing. Opening another treasure box, Shokei can see that there is a weapon inside.

  "Wow." Shokei takes the sword out. "A Cymore."

  "Really?" Ferron asked.

  "It is." Shokei said, taking the sword out. "But...its quite heavy to my hands."

  "Looks like a Greatsword to me." Mizuki said. "I am not capable or fond of these weapons."

  "I'll take it." Obsidian said to Shokei. "It seems that the weapon is tough for your arms to lift."

  "Very funny." Shokei said, trying not to ugh.

  Shokei gives Obsidian the Cymore. Rei checks inside the fourth box and sees that inside contained nothing inside.

  "Weird." Rei said. "There's nothing inside."

  Shokei looks at the st treasure box. The treasure box looks different from the others. The treasure box appeared to be bck and appears to be mysterious.

  "This is the st of the boxes." Rei said.

  "I know...but something doesn't feel quite right about this." Shokei said, staring at the box.

  "I would be cautious if you were to open it." Mizuki said. "For one, I am getting bad vibes about this box."

  "Maybe we should poke it." Saeko said. "I mean, just to be sure if it's safe to open it."

  Shokei takes this advice. She sees a rubble on the ground. Picking up the rubble, she throws it at the treasure box. Suddenly, the treasure box reacts as the lid opens and the party is surprised to see that there is a monster inside the box.

  "Dang it!" Shokei said and takes her sword out. "It's a Mimic!"

  The Mimic growls and comes alive. Its arms are extended as it becomes active.

  "What are we going to do?" Toyama said and asked. "We can't just let it scare us like that!"

  "Let's see...Chilling Icicle!" Sadako chanted.

  Sadako's spell went into effect to strike the monster with her ice spell. The spell did not do much damage.

  "No good!" Sadako said, seeing her attack has failed. "Any other ideas?!"

  "Hang on a sec!" Lei said. "Let me try something."

  Lei decides to take care of the Mimic. She used her psychic powers to restrain the monster with telekinetic force. Keeping the monster in pce, Lei tries to weaken the monster in the process. Her psychic strength takes concentration by focusing on the enemy. The Mimic is unable to break free from the grasp of the telekinesis. Within minutes, the monster appears to be dying down in strength. Lei lifts the Mimic off the ground and then she motions her hand, making the monster feels crushed by the forces of telekinesis. The Mimic cries out as it dies by the force of Lei. Then, Lei motions her arm by swinging down the treasure box on the floor. The monster that was inside the box dies out and the treasure box was destroyed completely.

  "Wow." Mizuki said and looked at Lei. "Nice work."

  "Thanks." Lei said.

  "I have no idea how you restrict that foul creature, but you have to tell me how on earth you managed to use...whatever you call it..." Toyama said and paused to think of what word he meant to say.

  "Psychic?" Lei helped him out.

  "Yeah, that!" Toyama said.

  "A Psychic never reveals her secrets." Lei tells him. "I simply crushed that monster with my hands."

  "Ah...ok." Toyama said with a nod.

  "Hmm?"

  Shokei looks back at the spot where the fate treasure box was. There they can see another treasure box has magically appeared. It's the same bck box that they first saw.

  "You don't think...there's another foul creature inside in there, right?" Toyama asked.

  "I hope not..." Shokei said. "But I'll have to find out."

  "We're right behind you." Rei tells Shokei. "Just be careful..."

  The party prepares themselves in case another Mimic is inside the same treasure box. Shokei approaches the treasure box carefully with ease, hoping that there's no Mimic inside. Fortunately, the treasure box does not appear to be a threat as it is the real thing. Shokei opens the treasure box, and she finds something inside. There is a key that appears to be shiny, and she picks it up.

  "What is it?" Rei asked.

  "A key." Shokei said to her, showing the Golden Key in her hand. "This key could be used for that golden door we tried to open."

  "If that's the case, let's see if it opens." Rei said.

  The party exits the room, and they are heading back to where the golden door is. Shokei inserts the key into the hole and unlocks the door. The party enters inside.

  Inside the room, the party can see that the appearance in this room is entirely different. They look around and see that they are in a room of pilrs. The pilrs are attached with mirrors that are all over in the room. Shokei and her party sees the pilrs. There are eight pilrs, four on each side of the room, separated apart. The mirrors appear to be square size mirrors and they are elegantly framed.

  "What kind of room is this?" Mizuki asked.

  "I never thought this area would have pilrs here." Toyama said.

  "On top of that, there are mirrors." Rei said, seeing her reflection from one of the mirrors.

  "What kind of Sanctuary would have mirrors here?" Sadako asked.

  "Beats me." Lei replied. "I have no idea."

  "Whatever these mirrors are, we'll have to look around in this room for anything suspicious." Shokei said to everyone.

  The party inspects the mirrors that they come across. The mirrors look the same, but they all appear to be suspicious. While looking around, Rei comes across a message that is written on the wall.

  "All mirrors look equal. One remains a mystery." Rei reads the message and asks, "What could this mean?"

  From reading the note, Rei checks around to see if there is any meaning behind the mirrors.

  Shokei looks around as she sees the mirrors. She then notices that one of the mirrors is not showing off her reflection.

  "Strange..." Shokei said to herself. "Something does not look right here."

  Shokei can see that there is another mirror behind her and nothing else. However, there's something else that meets the human eye. Shokei eyes on the mirror carefully, she can see that there is a hidden wall next to the pilr behind her. The hidden wall has something inside, which appears to be a light blue potion.

  "Wait a minute..." Shokei said, seeing an item that got her attention. "What's that?"

  Shokei turns around to the pilr behind her. All she sees is just a pin wall pilr. Checking back at the mirror and seeing the reflection is still present with the potion inside, Shokei turns back to the pilr.

  "Shokei..." Mizuki calls out to her and asked. "Did you find anything?"

  "I did." Shokei said to her.

  Shokei reaches her hand through the false wall that is secretive and tries to touch the potion that's inside. Her hand touches the wall itself. Shokei breaks the wall by kicking it. Her kick reveals the wall as it disappears. The light blue potion is revealed from hiding.

  "What the?" Mizuki said, looking at the exposed wall.

  Mizuki walks over and picks up the light blue potion that is sealed with a cork. As she looks at the potion, Shokei's party goes over to see what Mizuki was holding in her hand.

  "What did you guys find?" Rei asked.

  "What's that?" Lei asked.

  "It appears to be a potion." Mizuki replied, looking at it. "However, this isn't really a potion. It appears to be acid sealed inside."

  "You should try it out to see if this is true." Toyama tells her.

  Mizuki did as she tests the potion on one of the broken pieces from the pilr. She pours a little bit on the piece and then it melted.

  "So, it is an acid type potion." Toyama said.

  "It sure is." Mizuki said, looking down at the burnt rock.

  "You really think this potion will be able to free Princess Hyacinth that is trapped in that cursed stone?" Toyama asked.

  "I hope so..." Shokei said. "This potion might do the trick to save her from the Necromutant's curse."

  "I should hold on to this just in case." Mizuki said, taking the acidic potion.

  "I think that's all there is in this room." Shokei said to her party. "We'll have to explore around elsewhere."

  Leaving the room, the party continues their journey in the dungeon. Shokei navigates through the passageway until she comes across a door that is on her right. Shokei opens the door, and the party enters the room.

  Inside the room is wide spaced. The area that the party is in is now a hard, concrete floor. They can also see that there are paintings that are hanging on the pilrs once again. Furthermore, there appears an evocation symbol in the middle of the room.

  "Paintings...interesting." Rei said, exploring around the room.

  "Ok, this is becoming weird now." Lei said. "It feels like I'm in a museum..."

  "Errr, I wouldn't exactly call this pce a museum." Rei tells her.

  Shokei and her party explore the room. They are checking out the paintings that are in the room. The paintings are fantasy art drawings and ndscapes. While the party are examining the paintings, Obsidian has his eye on one of the pictures that appears to be suspicious.

  "Hmmm..." Obsidian said, focusing on the visuals from the painting.

  Sadako checks out one of the paintings. The painting shows a chessboard. The painting only shows the eight back and white pieces, which are the key pieces, but no pawns from both sides.

  "This is odd..." Sadako said. "For some reason, the bck king piece appears to be missing for some reason."

  Obsidian is still looking at the strange painting. The painting shows a swarm of rats, all with demonic eyes. The rat's looks fierce as their bodies are surrounded with fire. Obsidian has his eyes on one of the rats. The rat's eyes gave off a reddish glow.

  "Wait a sec...this does not look right..." Obsidian said to himself.

  Staring at the spot, the painting made a strange glow and then all of a sudden, the rats in the picture emerged.

  "Geez!!" Obsidian said, backing away from the painting.

  "Huh?!" Shokei turns around.

  The party looks to see that rats have come out of one of the paintings. The rats appear bigger than it was from the painting and its appearance looks bigger than what was shown from the picture.

  "Oh gods!" Sadako said, freaking out a bit as soon as she sees the rodents. "More rats?!"

  "Not on my watch!" Shokei said, taking her sword out. "Let's kill these suckers!"

  The party takes out their weapons to take care of the dreaded rats. The rats are all scattered in the room and the party kills a group of rats one at a time. The rats try to fight back as they use their vicious fangs to bite the party. Shokei used her sword quickly to kill off the rats that are trying to bite her. Rei could use her fists by punching the rats with physical force. Everyone else was doing what they can as the rats keep reproducing out of the cursed painting.

  "There has got to be a way to defeat these vile rats!" Shokei said as she continues to fend off more of the vicious rodents.

  Sadako looks at the painting. She takes note that the picture has an regeneration effect going.

  "That painting!" Sadako said. "That's where the source is!"

  Sadako builds up her magic and puts her fire spell into action.

  "Fire Lance!!" She casts out.

  The fiery spell is targeting the painting. With luck, the painting catches on fire as it is now burning up in fmes. This made all the rats cry out as they can feel themselves losing power and morale. The rats died out and the rodents have disappeared completely. Once they are gone, the party made sure that there was not one rat remained alive.

  "Strange..." Obsidian said, checking himself. "These rats did not leave any bite marks on our bodies."

  "So, it was all an illusion." Rei said, checking her arms out.

  "This pce keeps getting scarier and stranger at the moment." Lei said, feeling gd that the rats are gone.

  "At least we're still in one piece." Mizuki said to her.

  After the painting was burnt down, Shokei looks at the center of the room to see that the evocation symbol is giving off a glow and forms into an aura, creating a portal. Shokei can see that this was a chance to leave the area.

  "Looks like we can get out of here." Shokei said to her party.

  "Where do you think this portal will lead us?" Rei asked her.

  "I don't know." Shokei replied. "I doubt we'll return back to the entrance."

  "We'll never know unless we find out." Rei said. "Let's go in!"

  The party leaves the area by going into the portal. Once they have went through, the party finds themselves in a different area within the Sanctuary.

  "Huh?" Ferron asked. "What is this?"

  "Another passageway..." Mizuki said. "And its just walls leading us to a straight path."

  "Where does this lead us?" Rei asked.

  "We're going to find out. C'mon." Shokei said.

  The party navigates through the straight passageway until they come across another door. By opening the door, the party finds themselves in another wide-spaced area. In the center of the room, Shokei can see the sphere, in which she needs to destroy to break the seal back at the lobby.

  "Another sphere." Rei said.

  "And I was thinking to myself that we were not going to see another one." Sadako said.

  Before Shokei and her party can go up further, they can see that the sphere is surrounded by the sandy floor.

  "Hey now." Obsidian said and asked. "You think it's safe to get close to that sphere?"

  "I doubt it." Shokei said. "We been through a lot, and I know that this one is no surprise at all."

  "Could be a monster guarding that sphere." Obsidian said. "You'll never know."

  "I should proceed with caution in case of anything." Shokei said.

  "No!" Rei quickly tells her. "It's too dangerous for you to inspect anything."

  "Its best we should go near that sphere altogether." Lei said.

  "All right." Shokei said. "We need to be careful if we're about to smash that sphere."

  The party heads up to where the sphere is. They take little steps and are armed in case of anything. Walking further, the party is halfway there to reach for that sphere. Suddenly, a creature emerged from the sand grounds.

  "Woah!!" Lei yelled and with a surprised look, she fell back on the sandy floor.

  "What the hell?!" Rei said, staring up.

  Shokei and her party stops in their tracks to see that there is a sand worm that appears in their way. The sandworm lets out a growl as it comes towards the party.

  "WATCH OUT!!" Shokei shouts out to her party.

  Everyone moved out of the way right as the Sandworm charges towards the party. The worm monster tried to use its huge mouth fangs against the party. However, its attack missed as the party gets away from the moving monster.

  "Quick!" Shokei tells her party. "Obsidian, Ferron, you two go after the sphere! The rest of us will deal with the Sandworm!"

  "Got it!" Ferron said and took into action.

  "Will do Shokei!" Obsidian said, equipped with his Cymore.

  Both of Shokei's allies head for the sphere whereas Shokei and her party faces off against the Sandworm.

  The Sandworm rises up on its neck to make another growl. It opens its mouth to reveal its very sharp fangs. The monster moves down to make another attack against the party. Everyone moves out of the way to evade the attack. Shokei goes for a thrust with her Mithrodin. Toyama jumps to make a strike from above. The Sandworm moves its head by using itself to a battering ram. The attack made Shokei and Toyama fall back on the floor. Sadako, already prepared, used a spell against the monster.

  "Icicle Edge!!" Sadako casts out.

  Sadako used her ice spell against the monster. The Sandworm takes damage as the spike icicles rain down on the monster's body, giving the monster some damage. Then, the Sandworm counterattacks her by using its tail to knock her down. Sadako sees the attack coming and quickly gets away, diving down to the sand in time. Lei charges up enough energy for a powerful psychic attack that will affect the monster. She builds up energy within her until it's fully charged.

  "Time to kill this wild beast with all I got!" Lei said. "Paragon Beam!!"

  Lei puts her spell into action. Her special psychic beam attack headed straight towards the monster. The beam hits the Sandworm with full force as the monster was dealt with lots of damage. The Sandworm's body was sent back against the wall and falls on the sand floor.

  As the party continues to fight the Sandworm, Obsidian and Ferron are working together into breaking the glowing sphere. They are making some progress into destroying it and they are chipping the sphere away.

  "C'mon man!" Ferron tells his ally. "We're halfway into breaking this!"

  "I'm on it!" Obsidian said to him. "This thing is quite tougher to break as it is!"

  Shokei and her party are still fighting the Sandworm. The Sandworm recovers from the powerful attack and then made a change of movement. The vicious monster dives back down into the sand. The party stops to see that the Sandworm is not attacking the party.

  "What's it doing?" Rei asked.

  "It's retreating!" Lei said.

  "I don't know about that." Toyama said. "Maybe that powerful spell you did might have scared it away."

  "Let's not be so sure." Mizuki said. "I think this monster might be on to something."

  The party remained cautious in case the Sandworm would try to emerge from the ground to strike at them again. Just then, the Sandworm is heading straight up to where Obsidian and Ferron are destroying the sphere.

  "Wait a sec...everyone, look out!!" Shokei shouts out to her allies.

  Both of Shokei's allies noticed that something is heading their way. They both leaped away from the sphere and the Sandworm has emerged out of the sand. Shokei sees the sphere is swallowed into the monster's body.

  "Are you kidding me?!" Shokei said. "That vile monster ate the damn sphere!"

  "Great." Rei said. "Now we have to kill this monster with the sphere inside."

  The Sandworm makes a charging move as it is about to attack the party.

  "Look out!" Shokei tells everyone.

  The party moves away as the Sandworm tries to attack. Obsidian used his sword to strike the monster and Ferron makes the move to cut into the monster's skin. The Sandworm was dealt with a slight damage. The monster retaliates by using its tail to whack away both of Shokei's allies to the wall as both men take damage.

  "Ughhhh!!" Obsidian cried out in pain as he felt damaged by the back.

  "This is not good!" Shokei said. "We got to find a way to kill this monster!"

  Mizuki can see the Sandworm is growling from a distance. She makes an attempt to use a Geomancer skill against the monster. Just like how she dealt with the Griffins, she is about to use the same technique towards the monster. She concentrates as she focuses on her ability, allowing time for her power to build up energy.

  Rei sees Mizuki doing this as she decides to follow suit. She closed her eyes as develops her chakra inside. With two allies building up another energy, both have finally reached their limit. Their eyes open as they set their sights on the target.

  "Enchanting Whirlwind!!"

  "Gulf Stream!!"

  Sadako sees her allies unleashing their powerful attacks.

  "Chilling Omni Fusion!!"

  With the help of Sadako, both Mizuki and Rei's powers are combined into three elements. The powerful tornadoes have been fused with an Icy Cold Tornado. This mix is heading straight for the Sandworm. The monster is unable to avoid this attack as it is now trapped by the chilling swirl. The party can see the combination attack builds up as the Sandworm takes critical damage as the ice and wind elements are piercing through the Sandworm's body. The monster cries in pain as it takes major damage.

  Obsidian and Ferron gets up in time to recover as they saw the chilling tornado is trying to destroy the Sandworm. The monster is now covered in ice as a whole. Then, the monster is now breaking up into pieces. Shokei and her party looks carefully to see that the sphere inside the monster's body is also breaking up. Within a few minutes, the Sandworm has been destroyed with the combined powers from Mizuki, Rei, and Sadako as all three of them work together into destroying the Sandworm.

  "All right!! We did it!!!" Sadako said proudly.

  "Finally..." Rei said, recovering from using energy from her tornado.

  "Great work!" Shokei said to her allies. "Not only your combination destroyed the monster, but it also died with the sphere inside."

  From the monster's defeat, Toyama sees that the portal is now avaible.

  "Hey." Toyama said. "Looks like we can finally leave here."

  "This looks like our way out of here." Shokei said. "Come everyone."

  After the Sandworm has been taken care of, Shokei can see the real portal has appeared around the evocation symbol. The party went through the portal and found their way back to the lobby. Once everyone has made it through, Shokei looks ahead and sees that the seal of the entrance has been broken.

  "The seal...its gone." Rei said.

  "We can proceed further now." Shokei said to her party. "Let's go."

  Sand Gem, here we come... Lei thought.
