In Shokei's group, the party looks around the ruined town. Walking through the streets brought back memories as it reflected Shokei's thoughts.

  This pce sure looks familiar... Shokei thought to herself. It's been such a long time since me and Rei fled from here.

  Something is coming back to me... Rei thought. ...never would I have thought I have returned to this horrific pce. Especially the factory.

  Shokei gasped suddenly. She paused for a minute and look down to see road marks. The fshback strikes again as she recalled the memory of being in a prison wagon being escorted to an unknown pce.

  ...no... Shokei thought. She calmly takes a deep breath. There is no way I would find my way back here...now my past haunts me again...I am getting bad vibes now....no...never would I have thought of returning back to that horrible pce...

  Her party stops for a moment to see that Shokei is standing at the entrance of the path.

  "Hmm, Shokei what's wrong?" Mariko called out to her and asked. "Why did you stop?"

  "I..." Shokei turned to see Mariko. "I really want to know where this path would lead us to."

  "Why the long pause?" Lei asked with curiosity. "That's very off of you. Seriously."

  Rei has been quiet. She looks at Shokei and she knows that there was no suspicion. Between both friends, both can tell where this path leads to, and it connects a past that have haunted them many years ago.

  "Ummm...Shokei?" Mariko said to her and asked. "Do you really want to walk over there to find out?"

  Shokei nodded as her only response.

  "Ok...lead and we'll follow." Mariko said to her.

  The party heads off to the straight path as they navigate through a forest.

  During that time, Beatrice, with her group, Marie and Tamiko, are exiting from one of the abandoned houses.

  "Sheesh." Marie said with disappointment. "There's nothing in there."

  "Where do you think we should look into next?" Beatrice asked.

  Tamiko looks around until she sees a mansion at a close distance. The mansion still stands but looks rundown and ancient. The gate to the mansion is already broken and on the ground.

  "How about that mansion you two?" Tamiko asked, making them see the building. "You think we'll find anything to what Mariko is talking about?"

  "Huh..." Marie sees the mansion and then said. "Errr...I don't know about going in there...looks h-haunted..."

  "So, what are you saying Marie?" Tamiko asked her, crossing her arms.

  "I...uh, I don't know if it's worth exploring that mansion..." Marie said to her, trying not to sound nervous. "I-I have a feeling that something bad could happen...to any of us..."

  "Oh, come on! You can't be that serious!" Beatrice said to her. "The town is ancient, and I doubt that there is anything living there...besides, it's only three of us here."

  "I...well as long as you two are on my side, I feel...less uncomfortable..." Marie said, looking down.

  "Ok then! You HAVE us!" Tamiko tells her with some attitude.

  "Just suck it up, will you?" Beatrice said to Marie. "Anyways, let's head for that mansion and seek out that book."

  The trio head for the mansion. With the gate already knocked down, the group walk through the front entrance, and they head for the door. Fortunately, the door was already unlocked and all three of them walked inside the mansion.

  Meanwhile, Shokei and her group are walking into the woods. The path that they are walking is straightforward and by walking on the path leads them deep into the woods. Shokei looks around the bushy area of the forest. Rei is also observing as she can see the road tracks on the ground.

  Path of me is saying that I should not have made the decision of helping out someone into finding a particur item...then again, I recalled getting out of a tight situation, so I cannot break her promise. However, I am revisiting a pce that I recognized so much that it horrifies me to be back here... Shokei thought deeply. Fshbacks of her past affected her as she recalled her long lost memory.

  Oh no...I can already tell that I am returning to a pce I don't call home. Rei thought. It's been several years back since me and Shokei were ensved here...my, my blood is going cold in me...Why do I feel an unusual setting around me? I...I'm getting bad vibes coming back here. A pce that I wished I never came back...

  Shokei and her group continued further until they have reached their destination. Ahead of them is a factory building that is no longer operational. Shokei blinked as she looks up to see that the name of the building is still there.

  S..T...that sign...it's still there...

  "Woah, look at this..." Mariko said, seeing the ancient factory in front of her. "I never seen anything like this before..."

  Shokei and Rei can see the title of the building. The Sewing Wardrobe Elegant Aristocrat Tailoring has been kept in pce, in which the name of the factory is called. The logo looks worn out and discolored. The sewing factory can be seen from their distance.

  This.... this is when we were sves...a pce we felt that we don't belong here...I remember it all...

  The party looks to see that the factory was not in the best shape. It had broken windows, bricks being disintegrated, and a long factory pipe that has already been dissolved. Next to the factory is a mansion. The mansion looks haunted and rundown.

  "Perhaps we should look around here and see if the book is found." Mariko said.

  "Hmm?" Lei looks at Shokei and Rei, seeing how silent they are. "You two look awfully quiet. Are you both ok?"

  "H-Huh?" Shokei comes to her senses and looks at Lei. "Oh! Oh no! We are just looking at the factory in front of us...that's all."

  "Really?" Lei asked, feeling concerned.

  "Why, of course." Rei lied. "We're about to explore this ancient factory here, are we Shokei?"

  "Uh, yeah! Of course, we are." Shokei responded, following Rei with the excuse.

  "Hmmm, that's suspicious." Lei said, looking at them with her hands on the hips. "You two have been silent for a while. I was hoping that neither of you aren't behaving weird in such way."

  "Ummm....so, what do we do now?" Mariko asked, getting her group attention.

  "We're just getting right back to business..." Shokei said to her. "From where we stand, we have a decision between the factory and the mansion if we're going to find the book from here."

  "Ok. I predict that the book could be found in that mansion." Mariko said.

  "What do you want to do?" Lei asked.

  "We should split up from here." Shokei said. "Mariko, you and I are going to the mansion. Rei, Lei, you two can search for the factory and see what you can find inside there."

  "Got it." Rei nodded.

  Me...and Rei together? To the factory? Perfect... Lei thought to herself.

  The four party members split up in pairs of two and they went their separate ways into their destination.

  Rei and Lei walked inside the sewing factory. The pair looks around and see that all the sewing machinery and equipment are all covered in dust and spider webs, including the working tables. Piles of fabric are all worn out and there is unfinished clothing all over the floor. In some piled clothes are infested with insects. The area of the factory is haunted inside, and some parts of the factory are pitch dark.

  "Ewwww!!!" Lei creeped out as she sees the dead bugs on the clothes.

  "Yeck!" Rei said with disgust. The infested bugs are seen on the ground.

  "What the hell happened here?" Lei asked. "This factory so downpour, it's a nightmare in here."

  Rei and Lei continue to explore the factory. While they kept moving, Rei reflects on what she sees for what was left in the factory.

  What happened to this factory? Something major must have happened that led to the downfall of Corvida's evil pce? Rei thought to herself. Where did all the sves go off to? I...I can remember a fellow sve helped us bailing me and Shokei out of this dump. And that was several years ago...I will never forget this...

  Up ahead, Rei can see a small flight of stairs, leading to the door. She and Lei went up to the stairs to enter. The room appeared to be an office. The office looks old and rundown. Everything from the shelves, the desk, a closet with no doors, is nothing but dust. The desk has words embedded on the front that reads "Corvida." There are some clothes and papers on the floor. The whole room looked like a mess.

  "Oh my..." Lei said as she and Rei walked inside the room.

  "Tell me about it." Rei said, viewing the office room.

  "I assume we should find the book in here while we're at it." Lei said to Rei.

  "Yeah..." Rei nodded.

  The pair takes their time to search for the book. Because of the condition inside the room, some areas were hard to see. Lei using her night vision eyes through telekinesis to explore around the room. Rei looks through the scattered clothes and papers that are on the floor.

  I wonder what happened to this pce...this factory must have shut down in some way. Maybe this insane pce was shut down due to ensving illegal kids...like us.

  "Darn...there isn't anything here." Lei said as she stopped her search.

  "Hmm?" Rei looks and there she checks out a piece of paper in hand. "Maybe not, but I did find this."

  "What's that?" Lei asked her.

  "It's just a paper...with numbers." Rei said, looking at the paper.

  "Really? Let me see..."

  Lei looks at the paper that Rei is holding. She sees that there are various numbers written on the paper. Only five numbers appeared to be circled.

  "What's with the numbers?" Lei asked.

  "I have no idea." Rei said. "But maybe these numbers can be a clue in finding what we're looking for."

  "It could be numbers for a safe I guess." Lei said.

  "There is no safe inside this room...unless..."

  Rei thinks for a minute. Her mind fshbacks as she is trying to recall what she remembered during her time in the sewing factory.

  This factory is big in size...wait, I know! The storage room downstairs. That's it! I bet we can find anything that may lead up to finding that book.

  "Say Lei, we should head downstairs to see if this factory has a basement." Rei said as she leaves the office. "C'mon."

  Once Rei left the office, Lei is alone by herself. She was about to leave the office to follow Rei, but then she paused at the door. Lei knew that she had a pn. She remembered the time when she made Rei her target for distraction. An evil grin appeared on her face. Knowing that she is alone with Rei, she knew it would be the perfect opportunity to show off her true form as a Necromutant. Transforming herself back to her joker's outfit, Bck Death makes her way into following Rei.

  Its time...

  Downstairs, Rei has reach to the underground storage room. She looks around to see that the area is pitch dark and there is no way she could see through. There are small windows that are high up on the walls. However, its illuminating light was not going to be enough to see through the storage room. To her right, she can see that there is a torch, along with a pack of matches. Rei goes over to inspect the torch. Then, she looks to see the matches. The pack of matches looks unused and brand new. Rei takes a stick out and tries to light the torch. The first stick was a dud as she had a problem lighting the match. Discarding that stick aside, Rei used another stick and with one flick, the match lit up. Carefully, Rei lighted the torch and then she can see what was in her view.

  Rei begins to explore through the storage area. The area is a storage for various types of fabric and machine parts. There is also mannequin figurines, some that are still standing with full body as other parts are on the floor. Walking through, Rei sees that there are particles of dust and some webs that are over the pce.

  "Huh?!"

  A loud noise was heard through the room. Rei became alert as soon as she heard something behind her. She turns around to see that there is a roll of strings rolling on the floor. However, Lei was nowhere to be seen.

  "L-Lei..." Rei calls out to her. "Lei?"

  No response. Silence came in the view as Rei did not hear her.

  "Lei...are you there?"

  Nothing. It was all echo after Rei hears her voice.

  "That's odd...she was right behind me." Rei said to herself. "Maybe this area is too much for her..."

  As Rei continued to explore through the storage area, Lei, under her aliases as Bck Death, is hiding behind one of the crates. Her identity has been kept secretive from Shokei's allies. Now that she is in her Necromutant form, Bck Death can visually see where Rei is located. She quietly stalks Rei through the darkness, remaining quiet and in stealth.

  Rei navigates her way in the storage area as she comes across a series of crates. The crates are stacked five feet high and are packed neatly and organized. The lighted torch is holding her up strong as the heated source is very stable. Despite Lei not being able to follow her down the dark storage area, Rei went alone without her.

  Unbeknown, The Bck Death is trailing right up to her. She can see that Rei is going through the maze of crates. She thinks of a way to slow Rei down and she has her eyes on the lighted torch. The Necromutant sieges the opportunity by being silent and blows gently at the torch, only that her blow is emitting magic in a calm wind with no sound, mixed with a frost element. The winds quietly circute around the torch and then it completely went out.

  "Eh?!"

  Rei looks to see that her torch has been put out. With no other matches within her, she fell trapped in the darkness.

  Oh. Geez!! I feel like an idiot for leaving those matches behind! What am I going to do?!

  Rei stands there, confused, and lost. The Bck Death smiled, seeing that Rei is unable to find her way out of the storage room. She giggled as her mischievous ugh caught Rei's attention.

  "H-Hey!" Rei called out in the room. "W-Who's there?!"

  The Bck Death giggled more as her presence remained hidden from Rei's sight.

  "Lei..." Rei said but thought differently. "No. Can't be. Who the hell are you? Show yourself!"

  "Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm...wouldn't you like to know?" Bck Death said to her.

  Rei hears the voice that sounded like Lei. However, she has no clue to who it was due to the darkness. As she looks around, the Necromutant is standing behind Rei, taking a stealth approach.

  Now, it's time to seize the opportunity!

  Using her magic, The Bck Death brings the palm of her hand, ft out, and blows on it. A mixture of mist and pollen emerged from the palm of the Necromutant's hand. The mix turned into a form of a foggy gas. The gas catches up to Rei from behind. Suddenly, the gas surrounded Rei as she finds herself trapped in its pce. Her vision is overshadowed as she inhaled the gas.

  "Uhhhh..." Rei said, feeling the effects of the fog phasing her thoughts. "I...I feel..."

  Rei felt her eyes going dim as the foggy gas is making her feel uneasy. The gas made her succumb into hallucination. Rei can see that her vision has been open up into an illusionary world. She looks around to see herself in an endless field of poppies. Rei looks around, wondering where she is and has no idea of the danger, she got herself into.

  Rei's ears became alert. She hears the sound of ughter behind her. She quickly turns around to see the presence of the Necromutant, Bck Death in her view.

  "Y-You..." Rei pointed out.

  "Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" Bck Death said with amusement. "I see the spell lured you into my trap."

  "I...I recognized you..." Rei said to the enemy and asked. "Wh-where am I? Wh-what is this?!"

  "Hehe, nothing for you to fear my dear." Bck Death said to her. "If you want to fight me, let's do it here."

  "...the hell I will!"

  Seeing an opportunity, Rei charges after the Necromutant. The Bck Death can see Rei coming after her as she clenches a fist. The enemy vanished immediately as she made Rei missed her target.

  "Damn!" Rei said angrily.

  "Over here!!" Bck Death said as she sang a tune to get her attention.

  Rei growls through her teeth as her eyes locked on to the enemy.

  "You're going to need more strength if you wish to attack me." The Necromutant said, raising her eyebrow twice to tease Rei.

  Her reaction to the Necromutant's taunt made Rei charged after her. Building momentum, she takes aim to hit Bck Death, but she vanished once again. Frustrated, Rei can see that the Necromutant is making matters difficult for her. The more she tried to attack the enemy, the more that Bck Death evades her series of fists. The scent of the poppies emits a sweet scent that is affecting Rei into drowsiness.

  Uhhhhh...w-why...I feel so...t-tired...n-not good...

  Rei stopped in her pce. She feels dizzy and the drowsiness is affecting her ability to fight. The Necromutant can see that Rei is starting to lose consciousness and she is feeling very sleepy. There, Bck Death can see Rei going down on her knees and then lie on the softness of the field. Rei shuts her eyes as she drifted off to sleep due to the poppies.

  The Bck Death flies over to where Rei has fallen asleep. She inspects her and sees that her target has been put to slumber. Bck Death smiled and snapped her fingers to subside her illusionary world and back to reality. She takes Rei by the arms and looks at her sleepy face.

  "Hee hee, you look much prettier when you sleep, my Rei." The Bck Death said to her. "Looks like I'll have another session with you."

  The Necromutant vanished from the scene as she takes Rei with her.
