Back in the town of Amia, Lei the Bck Death teleported her way back on the streets. She left the abandoned factory with Rei, whose being captured in her arms. By putting Rei in a deep sleep, she has full control in dealing with her.

  Standing in the streets of the abandoned town, the Necromutant looks to see where she can hide herself with Rei so that neither of her party members can find them. Next to her is a small house that looks boarded up, except for the entrance. The Bck Death decided, and she brings herself and her captive inside the house. Going up the stairs, the Bck Death enters into a room. Inside, she can see that the pce looks very run down, except that there is a poster bed with a mattress. There is no pillows or sheets.

  Bck Death examines the bed and sees that the bed is in fair condition. The poles look bent but non broken.

  This bed looks perfect...but I need something to keep Rei in pce...

  Looking around the room, the Necromutant notice that there is a rope that's on the floor. She heads over to retrieve it.

  Meanwhile, Mizuki, along with Sadako and Naoko, are done exploring another house. The search for the book was nowhere to be found.

  "We have checked through these houses and there's absolutely nothing." Mizuki said with disappointment.

  "So, where else should we look at?" Sadako asked.

  "That's something I haven't thought of yet." Mizuki said. "All this reminds me when I was finding that medicine back at Danevana. That took me weeks to find, thanks to Shokei."

  "Gosh..." Naoko sighed. "All this searching for a book for Mariko is tedious. I can't tell if she was being truthful about finding that damn book she mentioned."

  "Unless her words are meaningful, we can't just give up easily on her request." Sadako said. "We have to keep looking around if we really want to find that book."

  Mizuki was thinking about something. She looks to see that there are more small buildings to explore.

  "Hey, I got an idea." Mizuki tells her party.

  "What's that?" Naoko asked.

  "How about we split up and take a look around the other houses?" Mizuki asked them.

  "But...wouldn't that be dangerous?" Naoko asked. "W-what if something bad were to happen to us?"

  "I mean, there's no sign of danger when we were going through the other houses." Mizuki said. "I mean, this town is abandoned, and we didn't encounter a threat so far."

  "Hmm, you're right." Sadako said. "But if one of us were to find that book, then whoever finds it should give a shout out to indicate our findings."

  "Sounds like a pn." Mizuki said. "Let's split up."

  The three allies went their separate ways. Naoko begins to search in one of the small houses as Sadako heads off to the other side of the town. Mizuki decided to find the rest of her allies and see if they have managed to find any luck on their search.

  Sadako continues to look around the other houses for the book. The previous house she went in was empty. Exploring another home, she finds that there is broken furniture and gss on the floor. Leaving the house, Sadako walks again until she came across a boarded house with no door attached. She looks to see that the house has its windows covered up and the size of the abandoned home is two floors.

  I don't know...but I guess it's worth looking inside...

  Having some thought, Sadako takes the courage to enter the house. As she walked in, she hears movement from above her. This made her aware that someone is already inside. Who could it be? Sadako cautiously walks in and she sees the stairs in front of her. As she walks up the stairs, she gets near the door to where the suspected person is located. Luckily, there are holes in the wall and Sadako finds a small opening, wide enough for her eye to take a peek. She looks in and then she silently gasped. There, she finds the Necromutant Bck Death with someone lying on the bed, restrained with her arms on the bed poles.

  No way! R-Rei! And...the enemy has her in pce?! Oh no!

  Bck Death has finished up securing both of Rei's arms. Then, she looks down to see Rei and then looks around the room. Sadako moves away from the hole to avoid being spotted. From inspection, the Bck Death looks back at her captive. Rei sleeps peacefully from the trap that the Necromutant lured her in, unaware that she is bounded by the ropes. The Bck Death touched her cheek gently as she giggled. Sadako quietly looks back at the hole to see what the Necromutant is up to and what she has pns to do with her ally.

  Elsewhere in Amia and back at the haunted mansion, Marie, Beatrice, and Tamiko are exploring inside in search for the book. Marie is looking around in the mansion's library. Beatrice is checking out the attic, and Tamiko is looking deeply in the basement.

  Marie spends her time searching for the book. There are rows of books to be viewed, but Marie does not have an idea of what the book looks like. She carefully explored and went through whatever book she could find. As Marie was about to continue on to the next row of books, something caught her attention. She notices a small jewelry box on the shelf. Marie takes the box and looks at it. The box has dust covered around it and she wipe it off. She examines the jewelry box, and it only has a bck texture with wavy lines. She notices the tch and opens the box. Inside, there appears to be a ring. The ring is an organic ring with a 4mm pearl made of orange. Examining the ring, Marie can see that the item looks untouched. She takes the ring out and looks at it.

  "Wow...it looks beautiful..." Marie said, staring at the ring.

  The pearl gave a shiny glow with a pupil of an eye in the center. Marie puts the ring on her finger, and it fits her perfectly. Taking a look to see how the ring fits, Marie smiled and felt proud to find a treasure of her own. Marie then resumed checking out the library and it turns that the book she was looking in particur is nowhere to be found. She heads for the exit. Upon leaving the room, Marie can see that Beatrice is coming out of the attic.

  "Did you find anything?" Marie asked her.

  "Nah, no such luck." Beatrice said. "I can't seem to find the book anywhere."

  "Hey, look what I found!" Tamiko calls out to her party.

  Marie and Beatrice can see that Tamiko returns with something in her hand.

  "What did you find?" Marie asked.

  "This." Tamiko said, revealing the item in her hand. "I came across this map that looks important."

  "Really?" Beatrice said and saw the map. "Hmm...it looks like it's the whole map of Amia."

  "It sure is." Tamiko said.

  "So, you found the map...but no sign of the book Mariko was talking about..." Marie said.

  "No. No sign of the book." Tamiko said. "However, this map could be more of a clue that would make findings of the book easier."

  "Hmm?" Beatrice checks the map again. She noticed a marked location. "I see."

  "It'll be best to show the map on the table..."

  Tamiko went over to the dining table and spreads out the map. The party can see that this map leads to directions to where the book is located.

  "According to this map, the lines can show that the direction is leading to a tower." Tamiko tells them. "For some reason, I bet our chances upon finding that book could be found in there."

  "Perhaps, these directions are leading us to where the book is found." Beatrice said.

  "But...that's crazy." Marie said and then asked. "Why is it that what we're finding here is in a tower and not found in this abandoned town?"

  "Then its best to inform the others about this." Beatrice said.

  "Yes...let's find our friends." Marie said.

  The party leave the mansion to search for their friends.
