I am Rodger. I am 60 years old and haven't achieved anything important in life. Every day I go to the same boring job, go home to the same house to sleep in the same couch watching the same channel. I hate suburb life but I can't escape it. The modern economy ruins me.

  Until...

  I woke up at three in the morning. Work didn't begin until five so I turned on the television. On the tv, I saw a programme about motivation. It moved me so much that I went straight to fixing myself up for the day. It was 3:30 when I left the house. I went straight past the car and chose to walk to work. It'd take around one hour if I ran on the highway.

  It was around 4:15 when it happened. I had just entered the 120 km/h section of the highway when a truck randomly hit me. The impact made me fly to another suburb with a lot of people and I started bleeding to death there. Everyone started taking pictures of me. Only one person called the ambunce. I still remember their face. He looked around my age, had blonde hair, brown eyes and pink lips. Just before I bcked out, I saw a screen appear in front of me. I thought it was one of those gen alpha pests but it appeared more like a hologram. It said:

  "You are the chosen one to rule the demon nds. To do that, you must first protect your own nd from their invaders... They are coming"

  I did not enjoy seeing that when I was in my near-death experience. Afterwards though, it's the best thing that ever happened me.

  I woke up in my hospital bed. The hologram woke up and said "Good Morning!". I was surprised by the hologram, logically as I couldn't process what happened before me passing out. I calmed myself down and went to look in the mirror. I was suddenly very muscur and strong. I was surprised but guessed that I had just lost weight at the hospital, no doctor had greeted me yet so I didn't have context. I tried shadowboxing in the air, in that moment another hologram appeared but this time looking more like hit points. Every time I shadowboxed, another zero appeared in the air. I sat down to calm down a bit more and then sat on my bed and looked out the window.

  It was then I saw a giant portal had appeared in the city. Another hologram appeared saying

  "Quest one" "Defeat the first demon invaders"

  I jumped out of bed, with my newfound body, ready to sy some demons!
