Sabrina had known in the abstract that Sloan was strong, and that she was a great fighter even before gaining magical powers. As a right hook fractured four of Sabrina’s ribs, she grasped for the first time the true meaning of that strength and skill. Sabrina wasn’t a quitter, though. If she was going down, it wouldn’t be until she’d expended every possible option to put Sloan down first. With a hand grasping each of Sloan’s shoulders, she headbutted the bridge of Sloan’s nose.
Sloan stumbled back only for a second, but it was progress. This was the first hit Sabrina nded that left a mark, since Sloan was so annoyingly durable. What a mark it was, too. The bones in her nose were shattered and she now had two bck eyes.
Sloan jabbed back at Sabrina, but Sabrina dodged out of the way. Sabrina was swift as lightning, but unfortunately Sloan was just as fast. Sloan might’ve missed with her jab, but she managed to grab Sabrina by the nipple. With that leverage, she Sloan pivoted to get behind Sabrina and used one arm to put her in a headlock. She then hooked a hand under Sabrina’s crotch to lift her into the air and orient her body horizontally. Sloan heaved Sabrina up and over her head and then smmed her victim down just as she dropped to one knee.
Sabrina came down hard on Sloan’s knee, breaking her back and severing her spinal cord. Paralyzed from the waist down and choking on blood, Sabrina wheezed, “I yield.” The moment the concession was uttered, both opponents’ injuries simply seized to exist, in a blink.
The crowd cheered. Jellies and silver changed hands as wagers were decided. The gym was freshly enchanted so that divers could spar using temporary health pools and sustain no injuries afterward. This was technically for training purposes, although so far they’d used it only for all-out death matches for everyone’s amusement. The matchup between Sabrina and Sloan was highly specuted on and was the most highly anticipated fight of the day.
“I call fighting Sabrina next!” Aisha called out from the crowd.
Sabrina slowly stood, shaking her head wearily. “I’ll take a rain check. Jade’s supposed to y an egg in a few minutes.”
While this was true, it wasn’t the only thing motivating her to bow out from the challenge. While she was physically fit as a fiddle, she’d experienced becoming a paraplegic just moments ago, and needed a minute to shake that off. Besides— Aisha made her nervous.
Alice eagerly stepped into the ring to fight Sloan just as Sabrina left. She seemed pretty confident, even after seeing what Sabrina had just gone through. Sabrina wished her luck and followed her girlfriend to the locker room.
With a whole league pitching in resources, the gym had transformed far more drastically than Sabrina’s apartment had, in a very short time. The locker room had new doors attached to it. One door led to the new steam room, which used alchemy-enhanced steam. Another led to a wing of dormitories, just like the YMCA used to have.
Sabrina and Jade stayed in the locker room itself, though. Sabrina was worried about the egg Jade was incubating. The Devil Eggs clearly didn’t work the way normal Prize Eggs did. The size three one inside of Sabrina was so thoroughly tched into her Hellmouth that her pussy remained in its Succubus form even after Sabrina transformed back into a human. That shouldn’t have been possible.
Jade’s egg refused to leave prematurely, no matter how much Sabrina tried to yank it out with her fingers. Jade was putting on a brave face, but after eighteen hours, Sabrina knew the fist-sized stone had to be agonizing. Sabrina was obligated to be here for moral support.
Jade sat with her legs spread at the edge of the bench, and Sabrina sat behind her, wrapping her in her arms. Jade let out a soft whimper and her hand hovered awkwardly around her crotch. Sabrina winced with concern.
“Does it hurt?”
“No,” Jade answered. “It’s not that. It’s just very… stimuting.”
“Oh,” Sabrina said, and then her eyebrows rose. “Oh! Nice.”
Jade’s had finally nded between her silky folds. Her fingers clumsily danced around there. Jade jokingly made up an excuse. “Don’t mind me. I’ve got the worst mosquito bite.”
Grinning Sabrina pyed along. “Hate when that happens. I know they say you shouldn’t scratch it, but sometimes it just feels so good when you do.”
“For sure,” Jade said, speeding up her finger. “This one is just so itchy. It’s… crazy.”
Sabrina didn’t respond. Her hands glided up Jade’s body, finding her breasts. She massaged Jade’s tits while she kissed her neck and ear. Jade got hot, her skin flushed red and her breaths became shallow.
With cheers all around, Alice and Sloan squared up. Alice took a boxer’s stance, and Sloan gdly accepted fighting on these terms. Once Sloan’s fists were up as well, the fight had begun.
Alice made an exploratory jab, and Sloan easily dodged it. Sloan returned a jab of her own, and Alice put an arm up to block. As soon Sloan made contact, her hand was buried in slime and trapped in the sticky substance.
Alice grinned evilly and her arm went limp. Her suit split open and her real arm wriggled free. What Sloan was trapped in was only a slimy simucrum. Sloan kicked at Alice’s leg. While it was her real leg, the trap worked just the same. A section of the slime suit pealed off of Alice’s leg and encased Sloan’s, gluing her to the floor. In seconds, Alice encircled Sloan, removing eighty percent of her suit to trap Sloan in a net.
Sloan was now on her knees, prone and vulnerable. Alice gripped the top of Sloan’s shorts from behind. “You know how to stop this. You can yield at any time and I’ll take it as your safe word,” Alice warned.
Sloan smirked. “Never!” she challenged.
Alice liked that answer. She pulled, exposing Sloan’s bare ass to the whole gym. Alice’s own lower half was naked as well, which was a rare sight ever since she bonded with the slime suit. She lined her twinned cocks up with Sloan’s holes slowly, giving ample time for Sloan to protest. Just as she pressed against both entrances, she paused, saying, “Oh yeah, since I’ve got you here, I’ve been meaning to ask— aren’t you worried about the stigma.”
Thrown off and bewildered, Sloan asked, “What stigma?”
“Stigma dick in your ass!” Alice gleefully shouted, before swinging her hips forwards and penetrating her friend in one motion.
“It’s coming,” Jade warned, on the verge of orgasm. All at once, her body spasmed with pleasure, squirting her juices across the room while her egg rocketed out of her, glowing green.
>Congratutions! You are the first human to ever incubate a Devil Egg, you lunatic. New perk: Guinea Pig. Odds of more favorable outcomes are doubled when you are the subject of an experiment.
The egg’s green light expanded into a mesmerizing fme. It rapidly expanded, before imploding and taking shape. When the light subsided, what was left was odd. It was an old firepce bellow, with pitch bck wood and leather. On one of the wooden paddles, had two beady little eyes, on either side of the handle. This made it look like an ant-eater, with the nozzle being the snout.
>Personal Space Inftor. This device can infte portable bags with subspace, making them rger on the inside. These expanded interiors are rooms with medium magical saturation. They are particurly malleable for domain coding by those with the Runesmith subcss. This item is a devil that had been shapeshifted as punishment for his transgression. Don’t feel too bad, though— he is alive, but no longer sentient.
“That’s pretty cool,” Sabrina remarked. “We’ve got inventories though, so I don’t know if a legally distinct analogue to the Bag of Holding is totally worth it.”
“It’s definitely worth it,” Jade argued, with a gleam of wonder in her eyes. “We just got the key to free unlimited housing. People won’t even need to worry about paying for nd, since they can carry their house around in their purse.”
“Wait… no fucking way! Would it really be that easy?”
“I don’t see why not. It specifically mentioned domain coding, which sounds like housing to me.”
They needed to test this immediately. They rushed out of the locker room, where a fight had just concluded, and cheers were dying down. “Someone toss me a purse, duffel bag, backpack, or whatever,” Jade called out urgently.
Right away, a leather handbag flew through the air and into Jade’s hands. Jade sat down on a rubber mat with the bag in front of her and pumped the bellow into it. Within three pumps, the interior of the purse had doubled in size. Double the size of a purse isn’t particurly rge, but she kept at it.
>Jade is pying: Personal Space Invader— Andrew Jackson Jihad
Without magical enhancements, the ten minutes of fast-paced repetitive movements would have left her sore. By the end of it, the inner space had grown into roughly the size and shape of a thirteen-hundred-square-foot room. A small audience had gathered around, silently observing with fascination.
“It’s supposed to be pretty easy for Runesmith’s to work with,” Jade said. “Anyone wanna try to turn that into an apartment?”
Alice jumped at the opportunity. She dove into the purse, repelling with her tentacles. She pulled a rge runestone from her inventory, as well as handfuls of element gems. She set the runestune on the floor, being careful to orient it a specific way, and then scrawled out runic script in a notebook. After scribbling half a page out, she set an earth gem on top of the dodecahedral runestone. The gem quickly melted and seeped into the stone.
All at once, the barriers of the room morphed from cloth lining into uniform limestone box. This formed the foundation of the room. Alice went on to periodically write code and add element gems. She changed the floors to wonderfully patterned linoleum and the walls to brick. She shifted the dimensions to not be so square and then added walls to divide the space into rooms. With water gems, she added plumbing. With lightning gems, she added electricity. With sor gems, she even added frosted windows that radiated sunlight. With air, ice, and fire gems, she even added HVAC.
By the time Alice emerged, the purse’s interior had transformed into a beautiful two bed, two bath apartment. It was nicer than Sabrina and Jade’s pce had been before its own preternatural renovations. This proved definitively that Jade’s idea was spot-on.
“Wow. This changes everything,” Sabrina said. Then, addressing the whole league, she announced, “This represents a big shift in focus for the league. Obviously I’m not the boss of anyone, but I think we should make it a priority to make as many of these as possible a give them away.”
There were general nods and utterances of agreement. One diver, Mellisa, voiced a concern, however. “Wouldn’t that mess with the economy, though?”
The crowd seemed to concede that this was a valid point. Sabrina agreed, “Oh definitely. It’ll tank the housing market.” The air hung still. “It’ll tank it in a good way, though. This won’t be millions of people defaulting on their loans at once and getting kicked out into the streets. This will simply be a sharp decrease in all property value. We can make these… mobile homes around the clock forever, but it won’t be enough for everyone. If actually infting the bags is the bottle neck, taking fifteen minutes each, that means we can make… ninety six bags a day. I’ll round up to a hundred to be nice. That’s thirty six thousand, five hundred a year. How many homeless people are there in just the US?”
Alice answered, “Over seven hundred thousand.”
Sabrina nodded, thinking. “So that means at our current rate, it’ll take twenty years to make one of these for each homeless person in the US.”
“Hold up,” Sloan interjected. “Scale it back a second. There’s less than a hundred homeless people in the city.”
Sabrina did a double take. “Wait, is that true?!”
Sloan nodded. “I volunteer. We can have that covered in less than a day. Riverside county has like, four thousand. I know you’re ramping up to something about disrupting the market and driving down rent or whatever, but worry about that ter. We can end homelessness at a local scale pretty fucking quickly.”
Sabrina was at a loss for words. After spending the day on community outreach, she still jumped straight to the daunting problems of the macro-scale. “Let’s do this, then. The sun’s already setting. Some of us should stay back and start infting bags. Or… I guess buy bags first, and then infte them. I’ll leave some cash. The rest of us should head out to start the dive, and make sure to look for as many element gems as possible.”
There were five volunteers for the bags, and two of them were even Runesmiths. Everyone else left to head to the dungeon. Just another day of making the world a little bit better.
