Chapter 7: Even the Gods Don’t Know What to Do With Me!
Kaito stared at the floating notification in front of him, blinking in disbelief.
> [You have now been decred the Supreme Existence across multiple realms.]
[The Elder Gods are now considering worshipping you.]
[The bance of reality is now completely unstable.]
Kaito sighed, rubbing his temples. "So let me get this straight… I went from an ordinary guy to a reality-breaking god, and now even the actual gods are confused about what to do with me?"
He looked around the battlefield. The Champion of the Elder Gods was still on his knees, trembling. His once-glorious golden armor y in shattered pieces around him. Even the floating isnds that once made up the divine realm were now dust drifting through the void.
Kaito awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "Uh… sorry about that. I didn’t mean to wreck your entire battlefield."
The Champion lifted his head slowly, eyes filled with disbelief. "You… held back?"
Kaito shrugged. "A little? I mean, I only used one finger."
The Champion's soul nearly left his body. "This… this is beyond anything I could have imagined…"
Before Kaito could respond, the air shimmered, and a golden portal opened. A group of majestic figures stepped through—the Elder Gods themselves.
Their presence was overwhelming. Their divine forms radiated unimaginable power, their very existence shaping the cosmos.
Yet, despite their godly might, they looked at Kaito with… concern.
The God of Fate stepped forward, his golden robes flowing in the ethereal wind. "Kaito… we must talk."
Kaito crossed his arms. "About what? The fact that you guys just sent someone to kill me?"
The Goddess of Wisdom stepped beside him, shaking her head. "No… we sent him to test you. We had to know whether you were truly beyond our control."
Kaito raised an eyebrow. "And?"
The God of War scoffed, crossing his arms. "You shattered our expectations… literally. If you wished, you could destroy all of us with a thought."
The Goddess of Chaos smirked, stepping forward. "Which is why we’ve come to a decision…"
Kaito tensed. "A decision?"
The God of Creation spoke next, his voice heavy. "We cannot allow reality to remain unstable. Your power is too great. If left unchecked, the entire multiverse may colpse."
Kaito frowned. "So what, you’re gonna try to seal me away?"
The gods exchanged gnces. The God of Fate exhaled. "No… that would be pointless. If we try, you’ll likely break free instantly."
The Goddess of Wisdom nodded. "Instead… we offer you a pce among us."
Kaito blinked. "Wait, what?"
The God of Creation raised his hand, and a new notification appeared.
> [The Elder Gods have extended an invitation.]
[You are being offered a position as a Primordial God, standing above all other deities.]
Kaito stared at the screen. His mind went bnk.
"…Huh?"
The God of Fate looked serious. "If you join us, we can guide you in controlling your power. You will no longer be a threat to reality, but rather… its protector."
Kaito tapped his chin. "So, basically, you guys are scared of me and want to keep an eye on me?"
The gods looked away awkwardly. The Goddess of Chaos chuckled. "More or less."
Kaito sighed. "And what happens if I say no?"
The God of Fate closed his eyes. "Then… the universe will continue to spiral out of bance. Other gods will rise to challenge you. Mortals will worship you to dangerous levels. The concept of fate itself may colpse."
Kaito groaned. "Ugh… that sounds annoying."
He stared at the glowing notification, deep in thought.
After a long pause, he finally spoke.
"Alright… I’ll do it."
A massive surge of divine energy erupted around him as reality itself adjusted to his choice. The gods watched in awe as Kaito ascended to his new status.
> [Congratutions! You have ascended to a Primordial God.]
[Your existence now transcends the concept of time, fate, and reality itself.]
[New Title Acquired: The Boundless One.]
Kaito exhaled. "Well… that was dramatic."
The gods looked at him with a mix of relief and caution. The Goddess of Chaos smirked. "Welcome to the pantheon, Supreme God Kaito."
Kaito waved dismissively. "Yeah, yeah. Just… don’t expect me to do paperwork."
The God of Creation chuckled. "We’ll see about that."
As Kaito stood among the gods, a single thought crossed his mind.
“…Wait. Does this mean I have responsibilities now?”
The Goddess of Wisdom smiled mischievously. "Oh, absolutely."
Kaito groaned. "I already regret this."
