--------- Dungeon Corridor ---------
Giant Squisher looked down at his newly activated copy of the daddy longlegs eggsac he found, imagining the corridor between the Ketchup Room and daedric tower filling with cobwebs. This spider spawner was in the corner just inside the corridor itself, just past the dance evaluator thwomp. He cocked his head.
'Was one spider spawner enough? Nah, probably not.'
He went to the opposite end, and in the corner of the ceiling above the door, he put another one.

'What? I could combine things with zombies now? No. There wouldn't be room for that in here. Maybe somewhere else later', he thought to himself. 'Why not mosquito? Nah, termite. No, those two should be somewhere else. Rat? Nah. I know I found other bugs. Screw it, it's mosquitoes.'
'But why can't I have the other bugs as spawner choices? I know I can make more of them. Oh, right. I don't have spawners for them to begin with. Shit. Okay, make spawners? How do I even do that for those things? Eew, I know how to do the one for ticks. That should creep everyone out. That means it's a good idea, right? Yeah, that's a good idea. Heh. Internet troll saves the day!'
His self-image walked back through his still one-way maze back to the Termite Room, and he stood staring at the wall he hadn't done anything with. It wasn't the one with a hole to the Rat Nest Room, Ketchup Room, or Frog Room. Instead, it was just a wall mostly blocked by broken furniture. 'Can I put a bunch of liquid splashed against the wall without the dirt absorbing it?', he asked himself.
There was no response from the System.
'Okay, well, I'm gonna splash a bunch of blood all over the dirt wall unless you stop me!', he imagined himself scream. There wasn't a response from that, either. Giant then swung his hand at the wall in a wide arc, imagining blood flying out of the path his hand passed through, but instead all that happened was he began coughing all over the place.
After catching his breath, he realized he couldn't really do anything anymore, or at least not for awhile. If only the zombies could work at excavating the dirt faster, he could maybe actually do something. 'Was this why dungeons even had treasure chests?', he thought out loud.

--------- Bogsreach Temple of Forgiveness Slave Pen ---------
"No, they're actually heading out today. We're going to have to spend some of the I.O.Us for trap detector rations at this point", the man with the club said.
"Then you're going to have to go trade in Plainsheart for it", said the woman with the scar.
"You get better deals than I do. Stupid people don't respond well to my face."
"Ha, it's more their broken arms. Fine, but you're keeping these things in line. And don't break them! They can't be of any use if you savage them too much."
The man simply rolled his eyes, but the woman grabbed a handful of scrawled notes from a ceramic bowl on a nearby table as she made her way out of the previously abandoned, half-falling apart stilt house.
Luckily, the two villages were so close to each other that it didn't take much time to get from one to the next. "Why did they even call themselves different villages?", she thought. Bogsreach could easily be nothing more than an extension of Plainsheart, especially since the place was so small. Barely more than a hamlet.
She really didn't care why, though. There were enough small towns she'd been to that were created more as an accident than anything else when a steed was killed by a monster and travel became impossible without abandoning all the caravan's supplies. Enough towns were created because there was a small spring with clean water bubbling up from the rocks. More than enough towns were founded because a dungeon was located nearby, or because there was an impossibly large tree or ruins that magically appeared instead of coming into existence naturally from damage and neglect.
What difference did it make to her if they were close by?
In Plainsheart, there were a few people here and there, setting up some flattened sitting places near the tavern and church. Was a merchant coming by soon? No one told her, but it wasn't like she asked or ingratiated herself to the townsfolk to learn such things through osmosis. But, if someone should be coming by soon, then that meant that she could maybe get something more useful than she thought.
The woman with the noticeable scar walked up to another woman wearing robes of the idiot church of stupid, or whatever they called themselves. "A merchant coming by today? I could use some supplies myself", she said with what looked like an innocent smile.
"Yeah. They usually come by with a bit of a schedule, give or take a few days. If they don't come by today, they probably won't come at all..." Melisande sounded somewhat sad as she said the last part.
"Well, I'll come by in a few hours when everyone's ready, then. I have quite a few trades to make."
The paladin went back to tidying her spot while the slaver went off to the tavern.
--------- Rainbowgeysers Temple of Forgiveness ---------
"There's nothing to forgive, as you've done nothing wrong", the elderly priest said, patting the man on his shoulder.
"How can you say that? The pack of fangcarriers got my caravan! I'm the one that sent them out there!", the merchant argued.
"Were they part of a normal monster migration?"
"No..."
"Did you know that their dungeon was going to send them out beforehand?"
The merchant didn't audibly answer.
The priest asked his next question anyway. "Did you send them out to trade without guards?"
"No! I sent Exterminators with them, and even hired an adventurer!"
"Is there anything you could have done to know what was going to happen before it did? Is there anything you missed?"
"I thought I thought of everything..."
"That's exactly right. You prepared as best you could, you did everything you could to account for threats and danger. You were thorough, and meticulous. You did everything you could have done."
The man was crying. The priest knew that it would take time to process the new perspective, but in time, the merchant would be able to move on emotionally. Maybe not financially, but that was not related to his religion's teachings.
