Chapter 3: Captive + Ahh, Learning a New Language
It was getting dark, and the sky was also getting darker, which meant that night was approaching. In the cave, people were lying down to sleep one after another. The man pulled Mo Yi'er and stopped not far from the fire pit, then patted the rabbit skin on the ground, pointed at Mo Yi'er again, and patted it once more. Mo Yi'er probably understood that he was telling him to sleep there.
Mo Yu'er nodded and said: "Thank you!"
The man didn't understand, so he didn't say anything polite to Mo Yi'er. Mo Yi'er directly lay down on the animal skin, and the man saw that she understood his intention, revealing a brilliant smile. Then, he lay down behind Mo Yi'er, with a piece of animal skin with the same pattern as his body underneath him. Only now did Mo Yi'er see clearly that it seemed to be a tiger's fur, deep yellow in color, with black stripes on top.
Mo Yu felt very awkward, there were twenty or so people living in the cave, everyone slept together, and there were both men and women. This feeling made her, a person from the 21st century who was used to sleeping in her own room, feel very uncomfortable.
However, when in Rome, I need a good rest and then decide what to do tomorrow. At least, I have to learn how to communicate first!
Just as Mo Yi was dozing off, a very strange sound echoed in her ears. She perked up her ears and listened for two minutes, then suddenly realized that this wasn't the murmuring sound often heard in A-movies from a certain island nation?
The whole person suddenly woke up, and although she was inexperienced in modern technology, she also knew what was going on! Damn it, primitive people lived in groups, in the huge caves they said whatever they wanted without considering others' feelings.
And it wasn't just one pair of OOXX, the unbridled and loud moans made Mo Yier's face turn red, her scalp numb, after listening for a few minutes, she couldn't bear it anymore and stood up to leave the cave.
Outside the cave, there were several robust men standing guard, seemingly on sentry duty. Upon seeing Mo Yi'er emerge, they scowled at him and muttered something in a low voice. Mo Yi'er couldn't understand what they were saying and could only look at them in confusion.
The commotion outside the cave soon woke up the sleeping man, who was the handsome guy who had saved Mo Yi'er. Although Mo Yi'er couldn't understand what they were saying, she also heard the pronunciation of his name - Fan Ge.
What a strange name!
Fan Ge walked over, seemingly asking his companion something. After saying a couple of sentences, he pulled Mo Yi'er back in the direction they came from. Mo Yi'er's face still had a faint red glow. She pointed inside the cave, refusing to go in, then pointed outside, indicating she wanted to stay out for a while.
Bao Ge didn't understand, and was also anxious, but he just pulled her hard, not letting her wander around. Mo Yier was very stubborn, but the wolf howls from afar made her heart tremble, she looked at Bao Ge, with tears welling up in her eyes, looking pitiful.
This trick is foolproof, sister. In the past, every time she used this trick, her sister's heart would soften and then let herself do whatever she wanted!
However, Mo Yi'er miscalculated today. Perhaps primitive people didn't have that tender and delicate heartstring after all. Bao Ge dragged Mo Yi'er back to the cave, pressed her onto a rabbit skin, then hugged his shoulders and stared at her with a hint of threat in his eyes!
Mo Yi'er suddenly wanted to go crazy, but then thought that this primitive person wouldn't understand what she was saying anyway, so she gave up.
There was a tangled emotion, and the soft music in her ears dispersed a lot. Mo Yi'er also endured the discomfort and fell asleep. What she didn't know was that after she fell asleep, Fan Ge's eyes were filled with a smile.
The primitives were accustomed to resting at sunset and working at sunrise. When a white light appeared on the horizon, they woke up from their sleep, everyone got up, and started a busy day.
Mo Yu'er was sleeping soundly, but was woken up by these loud noises. Primitive people didn't have the moral consciousness of making noise being immoral, and they shouted loudly.
Mo Yu'er had no choice but to sit up, her oversized sleeping gown making her seem even smaller, and her attire looked out of place in the cave.
In just a few minutes, all the men in the cave had disappeared, leaving only a few elderly people and children, as well as a pregnant woman.
Mo Yu'er arrived outside the cave, where women were carrying animal hides and walking away, while others were drying yesterday's hunted wild boar meat in the empty space in front of the cave.
Mo Yu'er stretched and habitually wanted to wash her face and brush her teeth, but she didn't notice where the water was. She wanted to ask, but the language wasn't mutually intelligible, so she could only go find it herself. However, after walking just a few steps, she was pulled back by a woman.
This woman is very tall, at least 180 cm. Not just her, every single one of these primitives is taller than Mo Yi'er and very robust.
Mo Yi'er turned her head to look at the woman, gazing at her with a puzzled expression.
The woman shouted at Mo Yuer in a shrill voice, although she was shouting, but there was not a hint of disrespect, and instead, her eyes showed a thread of unease.
Mo Yi'er was entangled, what was she saying? She simply ignored her and continued to walk out. However, her arm was tightly locked by the woman, who refused to let go. Mo Yi'er finally realized that the woman did not allow her to leave, but they had only stayed in their mountain cave for one night, so could it be that she was being held captive?
She looked around and wanted to find the man who brought her back, obviously he could communicate with her a little, but unexpectedly, there was not a single man outside the cave.
Mo Yu'er could only hang her head and dejectedly return to the entrance of the cave, where she sat down. At this moment, no one was stopping her from doing anything anymore. The woman went back to drying meat on the side, but her gaze kept drifting towards Mo Yu'er, with a hint of surveillance in her eyes.
Mo Yi'er sat stupidly for a while, then walked back to the mountain cave. The sleepy children also got up and played inside the cave. A few old men sat in the depths of the cave like rotten wood, occasionally saying a few words. Mo Yi'er thought for a moment, then walked towards them.
Several elderly people sensed her approach, perked up, and had a hint of a smile on their lips, with a hint of flattery. Mo Yi'er took a deep breath, pointed to herself, and said loudly: "I... Mo Yi'er!"
"Ah... Mu Mu Er?" One of the oldest men, with a head full of white hair and a long beard, spoke up in confusion.
Mo Yier was a bit anxious and pointed at himself again: "Mo Yier!"
"Muyl?"
"What's going on?"
The old people all followed along with the recitation, but their pronunciation wasn't very standard. However, judging from their expressions, they should know that Mo Yi'er wanted to communicate with them.
The oldest elder patted his own chest and also loudly said: "Khahsa! Khahsa!"
"Kasah?" Mo Yi'er mimicked his mouth shape, then uncertainly pronounced it. As soon as he spoke, several old men laughed, apparently, Mo Yi'er's pronunciation was very accurate!
