Day 3 Month Fire

  Today, as promised, we brought the cssmates, Myuu, Remia and Aiko to visit Kaito-san’s mansion through the connecting corridor after breakfast. Most of the cssmates are enthralled by this manual walk as there’s many of them who have tried this function, Myuu also looks like she’s having a great time doing it. For some reason the delinquents didn’t follow us but since they’re quite an eyesore we didn’t ask further questions.

  Needless to say, Remia, Aiko and the cssmates are astonished that this mansion is actually two mansion fused into one, though Myuu ignores it and decides to have fun with the autowalk magic that we told her beforehand.

  Although, that’s not all that we discussed yesterday.

  “Hey Yue, are you really sure about what you said yesterday?” (Kaori)

  “...I’m 99% sure about that, it may not feel like much but she is definitely that powerful.” (Yue)

  “But I’m shocked when Yue-san said that Kuro-san is at least stronger than “all of us combined”.” (Shia)

  “Umu, when she used her magic to convert herself yesterday, I also thought that her power was something else entirely. It’s as if I’m trying to measure the depth of the ocean.” (Tio)

  “But you didn’t feel that before Kuro-san used her magic, right Yue?” (Shizuku)

  “...Nn, her control in magic must’ve been outstanding to conceal her magic power entirely.” (Yue)

  As we walked around in Kaito-san’s mansion. We’re taking a gander on what we had discussed regarding what we talked with Kaito-san yesterday, but it’s mainly about Kuro-san

  Basically, when she converts her form, She unleashes some of her magic power out in order to convert her body into something else, but that’s not the main issue. The main issue is that the intensity of her magic power is extraordinarily steep, it may be for just a moment but that moment is enough for me to measure some of her true power, and I'm pretty shocked that she is, at the very least, much stronger than all of us combined.

  Well, all of us that were present at the small talk before came to the conclusion that we should not agitate Kuro-san too much. Luckily Kuro-san has a good impression of us so we should keep this status quo, otherwise there will be big troubles ahead of us.

  …and that’s why we’re all pretty frantic inside…

  “C’mon… still no connection. Where the fuck are you Etemp? Don’t fuck around too much if not we’re gonna be in big trouble here…” (Hajime)

  “Etemp-san hasn't replied back yet, Hajime-san?” (Shia)

  “Yeah, ever since she found the stairs that led to the basement here and ventured, the connection suddenly got cut off. It shouldn’t get cut, I made sure the connection is strong enough to reach the core of our world.” (Hajime)

  Hajime yesterday also spread the Arachnes at Kaito-san’s mansion in the same fashion he did at Lilia-san’s mansion… and one of the Arachne which is Etemp-san, formerly Erst the former apostle that Shia fought before that got converted into a fairy is missing in Kaito-san’s mansion…

  “How about we ask Kaito-san about the basement Hajime-kun?” (Kaori)

  “Well there’s that option, Anima did say that the basement here is different so might as well.” (Hajime)

  As we were all discussing what’s our next move, we decided to ask Kaito-san about the basement here and ask him if we can visit it. Kaito-san gives us permission though for some reason he looks really reluctant, I wonder why?

  Upon our investigation about Kaito-san’s mansion’s basement, we thought it could be some weird pce since the basement is the pce where Etemp-san went missing, but much to our anticipation, the basement looks completely normal. It’s not even dark as there are magic tools for lighting at the wall. We once again feel a bit of a let down. Though upon closer look, there are two doors at the left and right wall, and all of the sudden, Kaito-san tells us something weird.

  “Welcome to my house’s basement. As you all can see, there is a door to your left and right and I strongly suggest not opening the right door. In fact, just ignore it and go to the left door.” (Kaito)

  “Eeeehhh? Why do you forbid us from opening the right door Kaito-san?” (Shia)

  “Don’t tell me?! There’s a gruesome secret that you’re hiding?!” (Kaori)

  “No… but there is something I don’t want to show you all though…” (Kaito)

  “...” (Everyone)

  …Suspicious, the way he said it as if he was dodging Shia and Kaori’s question is all suspicious. It just entices our curiosity even more.

  “Ah~, my hand slipped” (Hajime)

  And all of sudden while we’re going to the left door, Hajime opens the right door by pushing his hand and opens the door. Hajime said that his hand slipped but the sound generated from his action is loud and clear, but surely it’s an accident…

  And behind the door, revealed all sorts of weapons, armors, a bottle that contain some sort of a potion, and many more, but what’s more surprising is that this room doesn’t feels like a torture chamber or something similiar, but the atmosphere here feels like a shop. Yes, it’s as if this room is like a secret shop underneath Kaito-san’s home.

  “Heeee, you have quite the fancy taste huh? A Secret Shop? I'm kinda jealous you had it under your house.” (Hajime)

  “Please don’t talk about it, it was built without my permission.” (Kaito)

  I see, it seems like this “Alice”-san built this secret shop in Kaito-san’s basement without his permission. There's even a price tag hanging at the war axe there.

  Ah it said 100 gold coins, it must be the price of the war ax, pretty expensive considering 1 gold coin is 1 million yen if we convert it, but upon the closer look, the war ax is blistering with high quality material in all aspect, and it even has a faint magic power like an artifact too so there’s no wonder if it’s expensive…

  Or rather… all items that were lined up here are of high quality, almost to the degree of Hajime’s artifacts, I wonder who made this?

  As we all took a step inside this secret store and astonished with the item selections, suddenly there’s a silhouette showing up at the counter. It shows up in a very grandiose way with… I dunno what it was wearing but I assumed it was some sort of creepy Calico cat costume? Anyway this humanoid being donned with the creepy cat costume stands up on the counter stand, points at us and yells something at us.

  “WELCOME! TO THE MIYAMA HOUSEHOLD SECRE—MIGYAAAH!!??!” (Alice)

  “...Could you not show up like an idiot?” (Kaito)

  “Wait wait Kaito-san?! As the owner of this secret shop, I need to make a good first impression to my potential customers, no?!” (Alice)

  “...And you ruined it with that creepy cat costume and your antics before… this is why I don’t want to open this forbidden door…” (Kaito)

  “Et tu Kaito-san? You said it almost as if this pce is a pgue or an embarrassment…” (Alice)

  “It must be your imagination, anyway sorry for my sudden action everyone. This is Alice, the one who, well, manages this secret shop.” (Kaito)

  I mean, Hajime’s not wrong, especially since Kaito-san immediately punched Alice-san in her face after she shown up so smoothly as if it’s a natural reaction for him is very weird to say the least. But more than that, Anima-san said that Alice-san is also one of his wives so is this some sort of domestic abuse?

  I mean this Alice-san didn’t mind it so it should be fine I guess? Their retionship is kinda like how Hajime and Tio’s retionship at Nagumo household so it should be fine…

  Oops, Alice-san turned her gre at me, she must be thinking that I’ve thought rudely to her, best to drop this.

  “Anyway, welcome to the Miyama household secret shop! The one who manages this is yours truly! The Mysterious transcendental beauty Alice-chan! Feel free to take a look and buy tons of my products!” (Alice)

  “Alright, why don’t we leave this pce and go to the other door?” (Kaito)

  All of the sudden, Hajime took a gnce and astonished at a weird product, namely something that’s akin to a contact lens.

  “Oya? It looks like this product has piqued your interest isn’t it? This contact lens is special on its own, you know? It can glow like this!” (Alice)

  Alice-san demonstrates this contact lens-like product. As she puts her hand on her face, it then “glows” in yellow color, kinda like that anime about a Chuunibyou girl. The weird thing is that Hajime was reaaaally enamored by this contact lens product.

  “I-Is this the T*rant’s eye?! How the fuck you made this?!” (Hajime)

  “Fufufu, it’s a trade secret! But if you bought this now, I will give you a discount!” (Alice)

  “I'll buy it!” (Hajime)

  “Oya? Are you interested in this product? This is a book about various martial arts that existed in Trinia! It came with a cookbook from a certain fanatic maid and even a magical boxing glove that can match its user’s magic wavelength and enhance their physical stats!” (Alice)

  Waaa! Waaa! As such the sounds of the masses gathering at the counter to buy whatever Alice-san promotes, what terrifying marketing skills she had.

  Now I see why Kaito-san didn’t want to open this pce like a Pandora's box, this pce is like the shop of your desire where it’ll suck all of your money until there’s nothing left. It’s only a few minutes passed but all of the cssmates and Nagumo household were enamored by Alice-san’s temptation and frolicking at the counter to buy the items of their desires. Alice-san is very devilishly smart indeed…

  “Oya? That little blond girl back there! I also have many toys that can spice your hot night with your lover you know? It also comes with sexy bck lingerie!” (Alice)

  …Needless to say, I also fell to her devilish temptation and got my money sucked up like it was nothing…

  As such our synchronizing sighs were let out as our regrets piled up even more than before.

  “Uuuu, I bought a book on how to make my body more feminine, alongside a book that contains tips on how to face your boss properly, coupled with some magic tools that promote body growth and some books about how to be a better teacher, how about you Remia-san?” (Aiko)

  “I bought a book that expins how to prevent your children from following their family’s bad traits and a book that expins trendy fashions like clothes and jewelry here alongside some jewelry, how about you Myuu?” (Remia)

  Nn, looks like all of the cssmates also got caught in Alice-san’s marvelous marketing speech, but that’s not the only problem…

  “...and how much money y'all have left in your pocket before Kaito gives us money back?” (Hajime)

  “Not even a penny huh?” (Hajime).

  Yeah, Alice-san’s shop products are all retively expensive, on average it costs about 10 silver coins I think? Which is actually not that much considering our pocket money that was given by Lilia-san, but considering the amount of stuff we bought there, it piled up without us knowing it.

  Also, since we can’t possibly carry the amount of our bought goods with our hands, Alice-san decided to sell us some reasonably big magic boxes, which drains our money the most…

  Okay, I know that we can use our treasure warehouse to store those items, but we can’t risk ourselves to use them since there shouldn’t be anything that can be considered as otherworldly items in our possession, so we were veeeery reluctantly buying those expensive magic boxes.

  …who knows that these magic boxes are actually worth so much money? I mean it is obvious that using magic for mobile storage boxes calls for high demand and price but these magic boxes alone drain all of our money instantly…

  And worst of all, our biggest concern, which is Etemp-san’s MIA, is still unsolvable until the very end of our visit to the basement.

  “But still, even though it’s weird and stupid looking, the quality of these products is actually quite marvelous, this book about mech is also well written too for some unknown reason.” (Hajime)

  Nn, despite our carelessness in front of Alice-san’s marketing speeches, the product that we bought was actually marvelous, you can even compare it with Hajime’s artifacts in terms of its quality. It should be money well spent but for some reason we felt like we were ripped off from the best salesman’s talk Alice-san made…

  Also, I forgot about this but we actually went inside the second door to the left. What's behind this door is a room akin to a bar, with a tranquil feeling to it. There’s even someone living in it. The person in question has grey and bck bob cut hair and a well groomed face, alongside her attire which expins that she is the bartender while she’s shaking metal cups in order to make mixed drinks, she then noticed our presence and greeted us while she’s doing her dishes

  Apparently her name is Iris Illuminus and she usually attends this bar that Alice-san built, without Kaito-san’s permission of course, and regurly serves Kaito-san with various blends and food. Nn, it makes Kaito-san’s mansion extra fancy with this bar addition.

  …Incidentally, there’s another door right next to Iris-san’s bar, and Kaito-san said that it leads to Alice-san’s miscelneous store… and we gracefully accept his advice this time to never step a foot there.

  But more than that, Alice-san came with us to Iris-san’s bar and began to use her best salesman’s speeches in order to sell some of her products once again but this time she was interrupted by Kaito-san and Iris-san as they both punched her through her stuffed costume. Then Iris-san proceeded to scold her as she sat in seiza while Kaito-san gave us the amount of money that we spent before.

  …Words can’t describe how grateful we are to Kaito-san and Iris-san in stopping Alice-san from scamming us again…

  Since we were there, we decided to talk to Iris-san a bit. It seems like she’s Alice-san’s best friend, which expins her antics with Alice-san before. But apparently both Iris-san and Alice-san also came from another world where there are no demi-humans there, only monsters, kinda like Tortus before Ehit took over. We all talked for just a bit before we said our goodbyes.

  Anyway, since there’s no trace of Etemp-san there in the basement , we decided to continue our visit at Kaito-san’s mansion whilst trying to find Etemp-san, in which we failed to do so.

  I seriously hope Etemp-san didn’t stumble upon Kuro-san, if she did then there’s gonna be a lot of expining to do…

  But besides that, as we came back to Lilia-san’s mansion, we stumbled upon another problem.

  “C’mon, Lilia-san, just one time is enough! Please go out with us for just a day!” (Shinji)

  “Yeah! Go out on a date with us for one time please!” (Yoshiki)

  “Umm, I’m grateful for your invitation but I'm afraid I need to turn down your offers.” (Lilia)

  “No need to be preservative! We will always accept Duchess Lilia-san! Allow us to show you our cool side!” (Shinji)

  “Yeah Yeah! We both are warriors that have gone through life and death situations so we are dependable!” (Yoshiki)

  …Now I realize why they decided to stay behind, they stayed here in order to flirt with the dies at Lilia-san’s mansion. I bet they flirted with the maids too before they decided to target Lilia-san. What a low-life, targeting a married woman when her husband is guiding us in our visit. I bet all of us have cold sharp eyes targeting them right now.

  Well I guess Hajime will go and take them before they embarrass themselves even more than they are. But before he did, they suddenly said something outrageous.

  “I mean doesn’t Kaito look too unreliable? He looks really pin and weak don’t you think? Plus he had many wives so we were worried that you would be neglected by him!” (Shinji)

  “Yeah yeah! Someone like him is not suitable for you! You are a beautiful noble dy so you should be with someone more suitable for you!” (Yoshiki)

  They even had the gall to insult Kaito-san huh? Now they're gonna be scolded hard by the cssmates, mainly from the females. Just because the person that they insulted miiiight be somewhat unreliable, both of you are on a much lower standing than him you know~. Well whatever, a heavy scolding is in need for these idiots.

  Is what I thought but…

  “...Let me tell both of you something.” (Lilia)

  “!!!” (Everyone)

  Suddenly the amount of mana surrounding the corridor jumped up to an abnormal level, and all of them came from the silent Lilia-san who began to talk to both of them using different tones. It’s as if she’s a completely different person.

  “You’re right, Kaito-san is someone with weak strength. When he steps a foot here at Trinia, I thought of him as another otherworlder commoner that I need to protect at all cost. But don’t you all know? It’s hard, you know? When you suddenly show up in an unknown environment. Both of you might have experienced this but when Kaito-san was summoned here, only a small number of people welcomed him. But don’t you know? Kaito-san wasn't disheartened by his situation, he never gives up and still be the same kind and wonderful man as he is. Even though he’s weak, he never thought of it as his weakness. Even though he looks pin to both of you, he is the most handsome and dependable man to me. Even though he’s in the presence of many beings that can easily kill him accidentally, he never backs down and still continues his steps forward. When I am lost in my own thoughts, Kaito-san will always be by my side and helps me in anything that he can do. He even helped restore my retionship with my best friend and bring justice to those who harm my best friend.   That’s quite an information there, we know that Kaito-san isn’t that welcomed here since this mansion is girls only but we thought that Kaito-san got his status now from his luck alone, never have we thought that he needed to put in his own effort to achieve where he is standing right now. It seems like Kaito-san indeed has something more than meets the eye.

  “Kaito-san may be just a normal, pin, and weak person to all of you. But to us, his lovers, Kaito-san brought changes to us in a good way that no one in Trinia or anyone in any world can ever bring. And we are grateful and love him for that. All of you can think badly of me, I can always disregard it as criticism in order to improve myself.   As Lilia-san spun her words to the delinquents, suddenly the mana surrounding her spiked up to an even higher degree, as cracks on the walls and floors alongside broken windows formed at her surroundings. Even though Hajime said that this mansion could be considered as a fortress already with the toughness of the materials used to built her mansion, her mana alone is capable of destroying her surroundings, she probably as strong as Shia when she gets serious. Quite an outrageous person, Lilia-san is…

  “...I kindly ask to take your words back, please.” (Lilia)

  “Y-y-yes!!!” (Shinji and Yoshiki)

  “...” (Everyone)

  Nn, I guess they don’t need the scolding anymore as they fall to their butt, looking horrified and almost peed themselves from Lilia-san’s justified anger. A moment ter, Lilia-san noticed our presence and looked at her back.

  “A-a-awawawa!!! Hajime-san and everyone?! Since when did you all come back?!” (Lilia)

  “Well, It’s after those idiots tried to flirt with you.” (Hajime)

  “A-a-awawawa!!! Did you all see that?! It’s so embarrassing!!!” (Lilia)

  Eh? Is this the same Lilia-san that scolded those delinquents? The same Lilia-san who fell down to her knees while hiding her face looking embarrassed? She looks too cute to be that extra powerful noble dy that just exchanges words with them. Even her voice tone reverted back to her usual tone, as if her previous demeanor is all but a lie.

  “Awawawa!!! What should I do?! Areh? There’s even some damage?! Lunaaaa!!!” (Lilia)

  “Yes Midy? Oya? Looks like this pce is in a big mess is it?” (Luna)

  “Uuuu, please help me fix it.” (Lilia)

  “Yes yes, but first midy, how about you go back to the living room, Miyama-sama is waiting for you there.” (Luna)

  As Lilia-san ran to the living room with a blush on her face, the corridor suddenly returned back to normal, as if the damage had never occurred in the first pce. Weird, this magic… is not restoration magic… but something much deeper than that. I wonder what it is?

  But anyway, after the corridor was completely returned to its previous state, Luna-san then faced the delinquents with an emotionless face.

  “Now then, it is just like what Midy said before, Miyama-sama may be a pin man to you. But to us, Miyama-sama is a wonderful man. Much, much more wonderful than both of you that can only flirt with the maids here. So if I ever heard both of you badmouth Miyama-sama again…” (Luna)

  “!!!” (Shinji and Yoshiki)

  As Luna-san said that, she then got close to the delinquents far faster than their eyes could perceive, and brandished a hidden knife to both of their mouths.

  “…I will personally sew those loud and vulgar mouths of yours, Capiche?” (Luna)

  “Y-y-yes!” (Shinji and Yoshiki)

  “...” (Everyone)

  Nn, as Luna-san said those words coldly to those idiots, she then pulled her knives back to her pocket and returned to her usual maid-like stance. For some reason, I can hear Hajime mumbles “Umu, that is truly the quality a true maid should have, better write this for reference.” but it must be my imagination…

  “Now then everyone, I apologize for this unsightly performance before, how about we hold a tea party for everyone?” (Luna)

  “Ah, please do so.” (Hajime)

  Nn, I guess after those incidents, it’s best to wipe it under the rugs and move on. Both of them should’ve learned their lesson, best we left them there while they think about what they had done.

  Nn? They’re gone? Weird, they should’ve still been sitting there. I can’t even feel their trace. Oh well, they probably ran away in fear.
