Day 6 Month Fire

  Today is the day where we all decided to apologize and express our gratitude to Kaito-san who not only has helped us regarding this other world which is Trinia, but also has stop the Gods from descend to the Human Realm and hunt us down as we had broken Shallow Vernal-sama’s rules before.

  I mean for real, I don’t know exactly how powerful they are individually but Shallow Vernal-sama herself is more than enough to destroy us with ease so Kaito-san stopping her tracks makes him our savior now.

  Incidentally, Hajime taught us, though it’s more so with the cssmates, how to perform the Nagumo Family style Dogeza that we performed before. For some reason he’s really excited to do so though as he became the drill sergeant simir when he trained the Haulia before. But since we will apologize to Kaito-san today, we decided to just bow at him or something simir since Hajime said that “It’s not perfect yet, and I don’t want to skimp over this apology.” or something along those lines so he put off their Dogeza training for now.

  And so, here we are, in front of Kaito-san's mansion door which is right next to Lilia-san’s. After we went inside, we saw Kaito-san sitting at a tea table rexing. Upon closer looks though, Alice-san and another woman that we didn’t know are sitting right beside Kaito-san.

  The woman in question is also a beautiful dy that can be mistaken as the queen of models with her long dark blue hair that’s tied in her back alongside her posture as she sits and crosses her legs elegantly, upon closer look she has heterochromatic eyes as her right eye is vermillion colored while her left eye is ultramarine colored just like her hair. She was donned with an attire that's simir to Shallow Vernal-sama’s attire which implies that she’s a God. It's just that, nn…

  She’s not just any God I feel like, her mana is still vastly below Shallow Vernal-sama’s but it’s still strong enough to intimidate most of the cssmates. She’s at least a High ranking God or maybe even a Supreme God.

  As we went closer to them, three of them noticed our presence and saw us.

  “Areh? Hajime and everyone? What happened? Why are all of you here?” (Kaito)

  “Umu, so these people are the otherworlders that got caught in the summoning isn’t it Phantasmal King?” (Chronois)

  “Yes it is Chronois-san, also, a bit te here but I would like it if you called me “Alice” before since they didn’t exactly know about my identity here, but it’s too te anyway. On that note though, my name is “Alice” and also “Shalltear” so nice to meet you all~” (Alice)

  “Well my bad. Then I shall introduce myself since I accidentally revealed Phantasmal King’s identity. My name is Chronois, the Supreme God of Time and Space, nice to meet you all.” (Chronois)

  Nn, I see, so she is the Supreme God huh? No wonder why her mana feels more “divine” than the mana that’s enveloping us that is the provisional blessing of Health. Moreover, she also says something pretty outrageous namely Alice-san is actually the “Phantasmal King” who controls the world of Trinia in the shadows according to Lilia-san’s expnations before and also “Shalltear” who Kuro-san mentioned when me and Hajime had a tea party with Shallow Vernal-sama before.

  …and that makes Kaito-san, the lover of Alice-san, Kuro-san, Lilia-san, and Shallow Vernal-sama effectively the shadow ruler of Trinia. Once again, Kaito-san is really outrageous…

  But never mind that, we decided to introduce ourselves to Chronois-san. As we are all done introducing ourselves, we then line up gathering in front of Kaito-san and then bow down to apologize to him as he appears to be clueless and puzzled as to why we all gather in front of him all of the sudden.

  “We’re very sorry!” (Everyone from Hajime’s side)

  “Eh?” (Kaito)

  “We’re sorry that we shamelessly spread those surveilnce drones at your and Lilia’s mansion, as we promised to Shallow Vernal-sama, we will take out all of the arachnes immediately.” (Hajime)

  “Eh? Eh?’ (Kaito)

  Nn, Kaito-san just confusingly looks at us as we bow and apologize to him all of the sudden, well it couldn’t be helped though since Shallow Vernal-sama and Alice-san probably keep our conversation a secret from him.

  “We are also sorry that our idiots here spoke badly of you in front of your wife, you can punish them as you see fit. In fact, we won’t mind if you took them, we assure you that we won’t miss them.” (Hajime)

  “Et tu Hajime-san!?” (Shinji & Yoshiki)

  Nn, they were shocked by the fact that Hajime was ready to cut them off like a lizard’s tail and left them in Kaito-san’s hand. Though most of us, including me, thought it’s for the best since they reap what they sow.

  So stop pleading with those eyes, it won’t work. Besides, Kaito-san is kind so it should be fine if that’s the case.

  I forgot about this, but apparently on the day we went to the temple to get our blessing, they returned back to normal as if their previous state was a lie. They must’ve under some magic that’s even greater than ancient magic and I suspect Alice-san must’ve been the one who cast it to them.

  “E-Errr…” (Kaito)

  “Oya? Looks like someone decided to reflect on your own actions, isn’t it~? It might not be enough, you know~~. Especially for both of you, I expect another hefty punishment on your way in this short time. Well if it’s not enough then I can do it myself.” (Alice)

  “H-h-hiiiiiiih!!?” (Shinji & Yoshiki)

  “Hmm~, I wonder what torture I would do to you a—MIGYAAAAAAH!!??” (Alice)

  “Will you shut up for a moment, idiot?” (Kaito)

  Nn, I expected that Alice-san might not forgive us that easily judging from her face as she seemingly smiles ominously and the fact that she exudes enough mana to make most of the cssmates tremble in fear. But all of a sudden Kaito-san took out a paper fan? Either way he took it out seemingly from his magic box and used it to “hit Alice-san in her head” eh?

  “Wait wait Kaito-san!? Why are you hitting me with that nonsensical paper fan again!? It really hurts like hell you know!?” (Alice)

  “Unn, as expected from Shiro-san’s creation, it does apply damage to you like the lighter version of piko-piko hammer.” (Kaito)

  “Et tu Kaito-san!?” (Alice)

  …to think that Kaito-san immediately hit Alice-san, the Phantasmal King, one of the strongest beings in Trinia, that even we probably can’t beat even if we prepare ourselves to the maximum we can ever muster… with a paper fan.

  Eh? Is he actually secretly the strongest in this world? Now that I think about it, he didn’t flinch in front of Shallow Vernal-sama’s magic aura that normally feels suffocating even to me, and the fact that Alice was hurt by Kaito-san’s paper fan…

  Yup he’s gotta be the strongest one here, no doubt.

  Anyway, after both Kaito-san and Alice-san bickering with each other for a while with Chronois-san sipping her own tea not minding their bickering like a high css dy. Kaito-san then came close to us and asked us to stand up.

  “Anyway, please get up everyone, I don’t mind it, seriously.” (Kaito)

  “No, we won’t get up until you accept this apology, we did something audacious even though you helped us very much after all.” (Hajime)

  “Ah, don’t mind it, it was something I want to do after all.” (Kaito)

  “No, if you hadn’t intervened with the Gods and Shallow Vernal-sama, surely we won’t even be alive and standing here in front of you right now so we all are very grateful for your help.” (Hajime)

  “...” (Kaito)

  Nn, I’m sure, no, the Gods and Shallow Vernal-sama definitely won’t let us go that easily since we were pretty impolite to those who were kind enough to let us live in their home rent-free while also under their protection. Not only that we are also rude enough to underestimate the people here so it is our just dessert to get reprimanded.

  But Kaito-san, putting on a gentle smile, asked us something.

  “Sorry for asking this but what did you all feel when you were summoned for the first time?” (Kaito)

  All of the sudden Kaito-san asks us about our, or rather the returnees’ feeling when they’re summoned to Tortus the first time.

  “...When we were summoned to Tortus?” (Hajime)

  “Unn, I don’t know about all of you, but when I was first summoned to Trinia, I was confused, surprised, a bit excited, but most of all… I was afraid.” (Kaito)

  “...You’re afraid?” (Yue)

  “Unn, all of the sudden I was transported to another world completely different from my original home world, all of my surroundings are of unknown origin and I don’t even know if the world I was summoned into is safe to live or not, never mind if we can go home or not. The same applies to the hero of that time and two of my kouhai that also got caught in the summoning. It is after we learned that we can go back to our world and this world is at peace that our fear subsides a bit.” (Kaito)

  “...” (Everyone)

  Nn, Kaito-san then started to talk about his experience when he was transported to Trinia for the first time while we’re all listening to him.

  “But even then, I was a bit disappointed when I heard this world is at peace.” (Kaito)

  “Hmm? Why so?” (Hajime)

  “Because, I thought I will have an experience like the protagonist in the novels that I usually read, to be powerful, save the world and change my life for the betterment, kinda like what Hajime went through, but then I learned from Lilia-san that this world is peaceful and at the end of the day, I realized my life didn’t change a bit, my situation didn’t change, I didn’t change. I’m still stuck in the shell of my insecurity and fear even though I was summoned to a fantasy world… and that fact made me feel insignificant… and empty.” (Kaito)

  “...” (Everyone)

  Nn, I can’t really say that I get how Kaito-san feels, but I can tell the realization that you are still the same way you are before even though you’re summoned to another world and the inability to take a step forward because of fear can be frustrating sometimes. But then Kaito-san made a small but gentle smile with his lips as he grasped his neckce as if it was his most precious treasure and continued his speech.

  “...But then, I met someone, this person is probably one of the more nonsensical people I ever met. I was swung by her as she pulled my hand enthusiastically to guide me through this warm and gentle world. She makes my story, that was frozen before, move forward. She gently pushes me forward onto the future that awaits me in this world… where I am… the ‘Protagonist of my own story…’” (Kaito)

  “...” (Everyone)

  “Unn, That’s why I can keep my head up and experience many things in this world, and finally find my own precious treasure. I hope all of you can experience the same thing as I did too. But I know that the sudden transportation to another world startled all of you, especially when you all have experienced summoning to another dangerous world where even the summoner side is not with good intention. But I sincerely wish that all of you can feel safe here and I can guarantee there will never be a situation where all of you are forced to fight for your life.” (Kaito)

  “...That’s why, I’m not angry for the small inconvenience that all of you cause, and I wish that we all can experience this wonderful world together. So please get up?” (Kaito)

  “...heh, you sound like an old man, befitting someone who’s 50ish years old.” (Hajime)

  “Guhhh… B-but I still look like a 20 year old so I’m still 20 years old mentally so…” (Kaito)

  “Yes yes, I get it, I will get up now Kaito-Ojisan.” (Hajime)

  “Stooooop! I’m not an “Oji-san” alright!?” (Kaito)

  “...Nn, Kaito Oji-san sounds about right.” (Yue)

  “Kaito Oji-saaaan, thank you for the save desu~.” (Shia)

  “Umu, Kaito-Ojisan, how about thou continue thou story about thou journey here at Trinia?” (Tio)

  “Hmm, I thought Kaito-san is an uncle (Oji-san) but he could be Myuu’s grandfather (Ojii-san) don’t you think?“ (Kaori)

  “I think he could be Myuu’s grandpa with his age, yeah.” (Shizuku)

  “W-w-well he could be my dad with his age so Onii-san is befitting I think?” (Aiko)

  “Uuugh, even though I’m 25 years old if I stayed in my home world…” (Kaito)

  Nn, now that the situation is less tense than before, we all get up from our bow and proceed to say thank you to Kaito-san once again. But before we stepped out from Kaito-san’s mansion's front yard, Chronois-sama approached us.

  “Umu, now that the situation is already handled properly, I should tell you all why I personally come here.” (Chronois)

  “Yes? What is it, God of Time and Space-sama?” (Hajime)

  “You can call me Chronois, and I was here to meet you all for two reasons.” (Chronois)

  Nn? I wonder what Chronois-sama's business is with us. I wonder, is it about the rule viotion again?

  “First of all, as most of you all had guessed, it is about your rule viotion of “no otherworldly items in your possession”. We, The Supreme Gods alongside Shallow Vernal-sama, Underworld King, Phantasmal King, Miyama and Lilia have decided to let you all keep your otherworldly items in your possessions under the condition of not publicly showcasing it to this world.” (Chronois)

  Nn, looks like the Gods have given us a leniency in keeping our belongings which we all are grateful for. But it seems like Chronois-san still has another thing to discuss with us.

  “Well, that’s all I have to say “as the Supreme God of Time and Space”, now what I will tell you all next is something I wished to announce not as “The Supreme God of Time and Space” but as “an individual named Chronois”...” (Chronois)

  “!!!”

  As Chronois-san said that, the mana surrounding us changed drastically, her hair became “pure silver” just like Kuro-san and Shallow Vernal-sama’s hair and a golden cross showed up in her irises, not only that her mana she exude also changed drastically, as if she transformed into a entirely different being.

  “...I don’t mind if you do a test for fun, Miyama himself said that he didn’t mind. But if you ever even spoke one bad word to “my beloved lover” once more, I will take this matter myself. Not as “The Supreme God", but as “his lover”, so I wished all of you could keep your words next time, understand?” (Chronois)

  “...Yes, Chronois-san.” (Yue)

  “Umu, sorry for intimidating you all of the sudden, all of you can go now. I hope you all have a great experience here at Trinia.” (Chronois)

  Nn, as Chronois-san finishes her speech, she comes back to her previous self and we bow to her once more before we walk out from Kaito-san’s front yard and go back to Lilia-san’s mansion.

  I see… Chronois-san is also Kaito-san’s lover isn’t it~? And she actually can exhibit power that’s close to Shallow Vernal-sama’s isn’t it huh~?

  …Yeah this world is insane, not only Shallow Vernal-sama and Kuro-san, even Chronois-san and Alice-san are also beings that we can never beat no matter what we do. And we literally anger said beings with our reckless actions and remarks. Who knew there’s another one that’s the same as Chronois-san again and who knew they are also Kaito-san’s lover again…

  Yup, let’s be more careful next time, and let’s cherish this chance that Kaito-san gave us accordingly…

  After Hajime and the returnees step out from Kaito’s mansion, all of the sudden Chronois slowly crouches while holding her hand in front of her face in an attempt to hide her crimson colored face that reaches her ears.

  “Uuuggghhh, what the hell did I just say before, I can’t be that daring…” (Chronois)

  “Oh my Chronois-san! Did you procim that you’re Kaito-san’s lover in front of everyone before? How bold you are!” (Alice)

  “S-s-shut your damn mouth Phantasmal King!” (Chronois)

  It seems Chronois was extremely embarrassed when she procimed herself as Kaito’s lover in front of Hajime and the Returnees. And such, her face burns up as blood rushes through her face and colors it in crimson color all the way to her ears and neck. Upon seeing that, Alice uses this chance to tease Chronois as much as she likes.

  “Haaah, you’re so passionate about your status as Kaito-san’s lover isn’t it? Almost as passionate as when both of you are alone together~” (Alice)

  “S-s-shut up idiot…” (Chronois)

  As Alice still teases Chronois, Kaito then hits Alice’ head with his hand chop to stop her.

  “Ouchie!? Kaito-san, why did you hand chop me all of the sudden!?” (Alice)

  “Then you want me to kiss you?” (Kaito)

  “E-e-e-eeeeehhh!!!??” N-n-no than-mmhh!?” (Alice)

  As Alice tried to reject Kaito’s offer to kiss her, Kaito kissed Alice all of the sudden. Alice widened her eyes as she was surprised by Kaito’s sudden action. At first she begs Kaito to stop her as she says “S-sto-mhh!” “W-wait a mom-mhh” but after several seconds have passed, she stops begging as she’s drowning in their kissing sessions.

  A minute passes by, Kaito slowly separates his lips from Alice’s as Alice slumps down to her knees with slight heart shaped irises formed in her eyes.

  “Haaah, Kaito-san you sadist ?” (Alice)

  As Alice slumped down, Kaito then carried her to the tea chair and pced her on the seat while approached Chronois to see her condition.

  “Anyway, Chronois-san, are you okay?” (Kaito)

  “Wait, you're just gonna ignore me!?” (Alice)

  “U-u-unn. Thanks “Kaito”.” (Chronois)

  As Kaito approaches Chronois while ignoring Alice’ remark, he gives Chronois his hand to help her stand up.

  “H-hyaah!!! S-s-sorry “Kaito”, my legs are still trembling.” (Chronois)

  …Apparently her legs are still trembling from the embarrassment she felt before as she accidently tripped onto Kaito’s embrace like one of those cliche romantic shoujo manga incidents. Chronois also starts calling Kaito by his first name.

  “It’s okay Chronois-san, also, thank you for standing up for me before.” (Kaito)

  “U-u-unn, you’re welcome, Umm…” (Chronois)

  “Ah, Sorry, I thought you still needed my help.” (Kaito)

  “N-n-no!? Umm… c-c-can we s-s-stay like this… for a while?” (Chronois)

  As Kaito catches the falling Chronois, Kaito thought she was embarrassed to be in his warm embrace but to Kaito’s surprise, Chronois wished to be in his embrace still.

  How cute was what Kaito thought as he answered his shy lover’s small but cute wish.

  “Of course you can, or rather, do you want to stay here Chronois-san? It’s been a while right?” (Chronois)

  “Eeeehhh!!??” Umm, U-u-unn.” (Chronois)

  “Wait wait wait Kaito-san!? How about me!?” (Alice)

  “Do you really want to join Alice?” (Kaito)

  “O-o-on second thought, I’ll pass…” (Alice)

  ‘Hmph, you teased me for being shy but you yourself are no different.” (Chronois)

  “...Ah?” (Alice)

  As Alice and Chronois stare at each other with intense gre as if they want to maul each other’s neck. Nervously looking at both of them, Kaito attempts to stop them before they go out of control.

  “Umm, Alice? Chronois-san? Can both of you stop please?” (Kaito)

  “No no no Kaito-san, I need to teach this Supreme God that’s slow on the uptake who’s better at loving you.” (Alice)

  “E-eh? So you’re joining?” (Kaito)

  “Of course I am! I’m gonna show this God that I’m not the same as I was who’s a love noob before!” (Alice)

  “Hoooh, bring it on! I won’t lose to you in loving Kaito!” (Chronois)

  “Chronois-saaaan, please don’t take in her provocations…” (Kaito)

  As Kaito can only foresee the unavoidable future, he then sighs a bit then forms a wry smile with his lips, he then tells Chronois and Alice to get into his mansion in which both of them comply enthusiastically from their fierce competition on who loves Kaito more.

  …incidentally, both Alice and Chronois were not seen the morning after, and it was said that they were seen coming out from Kaito’s mansion in the evening of the same day while saying “Hau, Kaito-san is a menace. I can’t even walk straight properly” and “Uugghh, I can’t be that shameless…” but that’s the story for another day…
