…
They stood there, waiting. Shalltear hadn’t the faintest idea on why her beloved was so transfixed on this runecraft. Yet he seemed to like rare things, so she liked rare things as well. After all, she had to be supportive in this, same as Albedo and Aeskell.
The room that they, and by they she meant herself, her lover and his second wife Aeskell, were taking up was a bar that was had been rented out by Gondo in the past. The hubbub of the dwarven runesmiths could be heard from even outside the building.
Though, she could really see the dwarves themselves of course, as she and the others were outside of the room. Soon though, she heard the words that her and her beloved had been waiting for.
“Now everyone, there is of course a reason I called you all here. it wasn’t just so we could get to drink good wine and eat delectable food,” Gondo said and Shalltear heard several sighs and awes from inside, “But there is someone here to ask you all something!”
It was then that she and her beloved entered. Lady Aeskell was there as well, a smile on her face. Shalltear had a bottle of good wine in her hands, ready to brandish as was her pn if things got testy. As they entered the room, the dwarven runesmiths reeled back in fear and other emotions.
It was a rather animal-like thing to do. At least in her opinion of course. She didn’t mind these worms as long as they knew their pce, of course. It was rather humorous, in retrospect.
Her beloved stepped forward. His utterly powerful aura spoke volumes as he raised his hands. He didn’t speak, yet his power was enough to corral some of the dwarves. Yet not all of them were tempered.
Shalltear took this moment to shine. She stepped forward as well and held up her bottle. She raised her voice, and the dwarves heard her and stopped.
“Behold! The alcohol you desire so much. Now, listen to my beloved words!” she intoned, and the quieted down.
She looked around the room. A happy smile was pstered on her face she then looked over to her lover. He seemed somewhat shocked. Though she hadn’t the faintest idea onto why.
“I do believe that they are ready, Lord Ainz,” she spoke, and he nodded his skull.
Reaching into his inventory, he pulled out a sword that was more form over functional. The bde was a simple thing really. It had a rge sum of rune along the sine though. Once more though, the runes were purely decorative. They didn’t actually do anything.
The dwarves saw this weapon. This tool that was utterly useless in most aspects of her own life and her own perspectives, and cmbered with noise. The craftsmen yelled. They screamed and yelled for answers. She was just about to raise the bottle once more, when Ainz spoke.
“So Noisy! I demand silence!” he yelled out, the cmbering stopped.
He then took a metaphorical breath. He let out his true instructions then. His voice carried across the room like a chill in the height of a Siberian winter. His arm pulled back from its outstretched position.
“I am Ainz Ooal Gown. The sorcerer king of the sorcerer kingdom. I have come to this pce, to this nd, and to this mountain range to speak with you all. Also sy dragons,” he said with casual ease, and the craftsmen simply looked on.
He looked at the bde in his hands. He spun it in his grip and looked across the dwarves. Words came form him once more. this time was the Introductions of his family, including her.
“With me is my family, who seek to gain life force and power from the killing of the dragons. First, is my second wife and queen Aeskell Ooal Gown. Next is my soon-to-be third wife, Shalltear Bloodfallen. Finaly are my children who are not here and are pying card games outside this very building,” he said with a hit of humor in his tone and a chuckle on his nonexistent lips.
A faint, “you have Uno!” was heard from the inside of the rented-out bar. The dwarves all looked at each other in confusion and wondered what was going on truly. The day was turning strange.
“As you all can see,” Ainz continued despite the tone of the room, “I have here with me a runecraft weapon. Twenty runes mark this bde,” he paused and looked up from the weapon, “can any of you do that?”
He asked, and the oldest of the dwarves stood up. His beard was long, and he seemed like a wiseman type of person. His voice was somber, like a lone violin.
“There are none. None of us can make such a weapon. Could I know? Oh, great king of undeath,” the man paused himself for the self-control of his want, “who made such a bde?”
“That person is no longer with us,” Shalltear’s beloved spoke, “I have not seen him in some decades,” he finished with a slightly somber tone, and the dwarve reflected that.
“Yet you are all with us,” he continued, “you are all the secrets and gifts of the people of the past. You all can change the course of your people. You all have the power to make items and weapons that would do this man proud. I can see it!” Ainz suddenly spoke up.
The dwarves seemed shocked by this change. As it was sudden, she was also shocked somewhat. Then she remembered his undead nature and how cool he was, and it all settled out.
“I, Ainz Ooal Gown, first king of the Sorcerer kingdom, can give you the items to make whatever runes and items you need or want to make! You can grow your craft under the banner of my rule. Under the banner of the Sorcerer Kingdom, you can all be as you want to be!” he shouted out.
“This pce has abandoned you all,” Aeskell spoke out, “Yet we haven’t. for you are all of value in our home. In our home of equality, victory, and magic you can all hone your craft,” she finished, and Ainz carried on her words as she did his.
“you can, and will always have a home in my Kingdom, the Sorcerer Kingdom of Ainz Ooal Gown!” he shouted at st, raising his hands out wide.
Then the cpping started. The old dwarve was the one to do so. the silent Gondo then started as well. Soon, all the dwarves started cpping. Some cried as the promise of a pce that cared for them was too much.
Shalltear resisted the urge to fist pump. The mission was successful. Next on the list, leveling grinding with dragons.
…
As the group walked out of the building, Gondo looked to the ground. A rather heavy realization hit him. the sudden feeling of abandonment. His people, his homend had left him.
A tear came form his eye and hit the dirt below. The rest of the group turned and looked at him. Shalltear notr truly finding it in herself to care. Ainz looking down, realizing what was happening. Then there was Aeskell who kneeled next to him.
“Gondo, I know what those tears are for,” she stated, and he looked up, “you feel as though you country and countrymen have left you. Yet that is not truly the case. After all, the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. The nd, the family and nation that you choose is your family,” she said to him and he looked at her quizzically.
“We are here for you. All that your brothers in runecraft will ever need has been promised to you. My husband does not let up on his promises. Anyone can see that,” she said, and he stopped tearing up.
“Your right, lets get out there and kill us some dragons!” he shouted and the woman smiled.
“Good, now let us go get my children and we can do so,” Ainz said and turned back around, pumping his fust under his cloak for a job well done.
