Arel was happily knitting while the children pyed on the expansive green field. Something hit her leg; she slightly moved and saw Scales coiling around the table. She smiled and then continued to knit. She started to hum as her beautiful voice echoed throughout her domain. Her appearance had drastically changed as the narrow horns turned into rge antlers, her eyes became greener, and her body also doubled in size, becoming a miniature giant. She suddenly stopped and turned towards the side.
“Protect my people.” Scales and the children disappeared, then she returned to knitting with her hum. A shadow slowly crept in, engulfing the once green field. White eyes could be seen approaching her, but she did not panic.
“You want some tea?”
“I did not come here for some tea.” She stopped knitting as she pced it on the table. With a snap of her finger, the shadow disappeared, revealing a man wearing a cloak. The man let out a small ugh.
“So this is the power of a dragon.”
“You ftter me. Are you still going to turn down my invitation?” The man slowly made his way and took a seat. Teacups together with a teapot appeared. The teapot poured some tea into both cups by itself, then returned to the table. The man stared at the tea as Arel took a sip.
“What brings you to my humble abode?”
“I came to capture you, but killing is not off the table, so I suggest you come with me peacefully.” Arel let out a wild ugh, then stared at the man.
“Humans have really become funny creatures.”
“You ugh, but I have the power of death on my side, and soon that ancient dragon will come back to life, so will every Stormville and sword master to be buried in this nd.” The man released a dark, ominous energy as the green nd slowly started to rot away.
“Do you really think a mere human could control death? Death is the one controlling you.”
“It does not matter; I will fulfill my destiny, and soon the entire world will be controlled by my undead.”
“I doubt you will make it far.”
“WHO WILL STOP ME, YOU? MY UNDEAD ARMY WILL ENGULF CREDOA, THEN THE EMPIRE, AND THEY WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THE LAST SHRED OF LIFE HAS BEEN SNUFFED OUT.”
“Not me, darling.” The entire space disappeared as the forest came into vision. The battle had already erupted as Scales swept down, destroying multiple undead, while the ogres and onis held the waves at bay. The man narrowed his eyes and let out a small ugh.
“This is what will stop me?”
“You are truly dull.” It was then Melora and her knights descended from above, cd in armor, with Melora leading them. She stepped forward in her dark armor as her gaze nded on him. She started to walk forward as her knights sughtered the undead who tried to get closer.
“You are too te.” The entire ground started to shake violently as a giant hand reached out from the ground, followed by bony wings, then its massive head, and finally its entire body. The ancient dragon Birom released a powerful roar as trees and the weak creatures were blown away. Birom stood over the forest like a huge castle as its tail swept away the forest. It was then he released a burst of dark mana which incapacitated those who were weak.
“This is just the beginning.” The man spoke as Melora turned towards the castle. She could see the rge magical shield covering the castle begin to fluctuate. Several strong undead could be sensed deep within the castle. The man let out a manic ugh, then stared at Melora.
“For you, I have a special present.” It was then a strong undead rose and released its mana and appeared behind him. It wore silver armor which was already falling apart. The man handed him a sword as he began to swing it. His visor fell off, revealing his skull. Dark mana covered his skeleton body as his eyes glowed an eerie green. “How does it feel facing your ancestor?”
“You will pay for your transgressions on life and death!”
“You won’t be able to stop me now. Watch as everything you love disappears.” Melora stared at Arel, who was fixated on the rge dragon. She turned to her knights, who readied themselves. The ogres and onis slowly collected themselves as they picked up some of their injured comrades.
“I will handle Birom; I will leave the rest to you.” Arel’s body turned into a rge green dragon with massive horns. Her rge body rammed into the skeleton dragon as the two started to cw and bite each other. Their massive bodies destroyed everything in their path as Arel pushed the dragon away from the others.
“I need only the strongest warriors among you to fight! The rest help with evacuation, children and women first, then the elderly.”
Melora commanded as the ogres at first felt reluctant. Scales let out a hiss; they quickly started to move as several of them stepped forward, holding their spears. Melora unsheathed her sword and pointed it at the man, who quickly disappeared into the shadows as the hoard came charging. She unleashed her purple fmes as she swung her sword, her eyes actively scanning the forest as she took down multiple undead. Their bodies instantly burst into purple fmes. Her eyes finally nded on the skeleton knight who cut the head off one of the oni’s. Melora was disgusted by this vile act. Who was he to py god and disturb the dead?
“Come and face me!” The undead let out a shriek as it came charging at her. Their swords cshed as Melora eyed her opponent. The skeleton pushed back as it released its dark miasma. Melora kicked him away as he crashed into the trees. Several rge explosions could be heard as she turned towards the castle, which could be seen from a distance on top of a hill. Suddenly, something tore from the base of the hill, bringing the entire castle to the ground. The magic shield failed as the hoard of undead came barreling into the ruins. She instantly felt hundreds of undead who were far stronger than the one she was facing. She clicked her tongue as she returned her focus to the skeleton knight in front of her.
He lunged once more towards Melora, but she swiftly evaded, then decapitated his head. The skeleton knight crashed to the ground, with its head slowly rolling. Melora thought that was the end, but the skeleton knight’s body slowly got up and staggered towards its head. He picked it up and reattached it, but Melora took the opportunity and sliced its body in half, then set it on fire. Just for good measure, she stomped on the skull and watched the body burn. That seemed to do the trick as the skeleton knight did not reanimate. She turned towards her knights, who fought furiously against the undead, together with the warriors of the forest. Louie took control of the battlefield as he swung his twin swords, dealing with multiple undead and occasionally releasing his mana, which gave him a burst of strength. She trusted him to hold the line. The hoards of undead came running towards her. She unleashed her purple fmes as she swiped her sword, creating a wall of fire. The undead were incinerated as she stepped through the fire. A strong undead in tattered clothing, carrying a rge two-handed sword, caught Melora’s attention. She recognized that sword; it belonged to none other than Abidjan, the first Stormville. Stronger undead slowly came out, each wearing clothing and armor Melora recognized; they were the champions and previous heads of Credoa. Each achieved great feats, such as hunting down a Balowick or killing elder Ogres and Onis. Some of them participated in the great demon subjugation and took down strong demons and hydras. Even the weakest Stormville was seen as a superhuman to others. Melora steeled herself as Abidjan started to circle her. Even though he was only a skeleton, he still exuded tremendous strength.
It was then Arthur and Of appeared, together with a female general. Those three were considered the strongest in Credoa, a true force of nature.
“Your Highness, sorry we took too long, but everyone was evacuated safely.”
“Thank you, Varie.” Varie let out a hearty ugh as she unsheathed her longsword.
“Your Highness, we will deal with the rest of them, while you deal with him.” Arthur spoke as he too unsheathed his rapier. Of stretched his neck as he wielded his war hammer. The four of them took positions and faced the hoard.
