After Vasileios' status dated, he quickly exited Bahamut’s room, eager to showcase his newfound abilities.
He expected Michalis to rush into the room after he opehe door, but was surprised to see that he was still sprawled on the floor, staring bnkly at the ceiling.
"Are you okay?" Vasileios asked, feeling a pang of guilt for having shoved him so forcefully moments earlier.
There was a hint of in his voice as he approached Michalis.
Michalis took a moment to respond, his tone unusually monotone.
"I am," he said, his gaze unfocused.
Vasileios furrowed his brow, perplexed by his brother’s behaviour.
"Then why are you still on the floor?" he asked, gesturing to Michalis' prone position.
"pting the futility of life," Michalis replied, his words ced with a philosophical weight that caught Vasileios off guard.
"Huh, did you hit your head too hard or something?" Vasileios asked, his fusion evident.
"Because right now, you don't sound very sane." he said.
Michalis took a deep breath, as if gathering his thoughts.
"I assure you, I am quite sane," he said, his eyes finally fog on Vasileios.
"I've simply e to realize how..." He trailed off, his attention drawn to the movement across the room.
Eleni had just risen up from her spot, and Michalis knew what she was going to do.
Quickly he scrambled to his knees, hastily crawling into Bahamut's room, much to Vasileios' shock.
"Tsk, he should have remained like that," Eleni muttered, her annoyance palpable as she sat back down.
Cir, who had withe entire exge, couldn't help but pte Michalis' childish behaviour.
'Ugh, it's painful to watch how childish he is,' she thought, w if this was how Draco had perceived her as well.
Earlier in the evening, Vasiliki had informed Cir about Michalis' crush on her during their versation.
Cir had bee increasingly self-aware of Michalis sihen, but found it difficult to suddenly ge her perception of him, and his subsequent as werely helping her.
He was more like a goofy brother than a potential romantic partner.
The only time she had felt a tiny hint of attra that was non-familial in nature was when he had helped her after she was injured in the duhe previous day.
'Sigh, stop thinking about silly things and sort yourself first,' Cir chided herself, trying to push aside the thoughts.
'Now how do I deal with the situation, now that I know about it?' she pondered.
Vasiliki, Cir's ptive expression, couldn't help but shake her head in disappoi.
'Should I tell Michalis that Cir knows about his crush on her, so he shape up? Or should I just wait and see how things py out?' she wondered.
Draeanwhile, had blocked out the entire se, fog ily on his meditation.
Vasileios had wao share his updated status sheet with him, but seeing him engaged in his practice, he decided to wait and iook a seat o Nikoos.
"So, did you get any good skills?" Nikoos asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Hmm, not anything with a cheesy name like your 'bone crusher' skill," Vasileios teased, "but it's not bad." he added.
Nikoos wao smack Vasileios for taking a jab at his skill name, but he held back, knowing there was some truth to the assessment.
"Let me see your status sheet," Nikoos said, snatg the dot from Vasileios' hands.
Vasileios didn't mind, so be didn’t resist, and Nikoos began perusing the information.
"What's this ge-worthy skill name, 'revenge ter'?" Nikoos asked, barely taining his ughter.
"And you have the gall to call mine cheesy?" he said.
"Why you!" Vasileios excimed, immediately poung on Nikoos, and the two boys fell into aussle.
Vasiliki, curious about Vasileios' new skill, picked up the status sheet that had fallen during the melee, eager to see what her brother had acquired.
‘This unfair skill effect seems quite intriguing,’ Vasiliki mused, examining the details more closely.
‘I wonder if it applies to magic attacks as well, or is it limited to just physical strikes?’ The vagueness of that part left her slightly perplexed.
Letting out a ptive sigh, she tinued, ‘Overall, it's not a bad skill though. Looks like everyone is getting some impressive abilities this time around too.’ she thought.
Gathering Vasileios' updated status sheet, she added it to the growing stack before returning to sit beside Draco.
……………………………………………………………………………..
Meanwhile, in Bahamut's room, Michalis anxiously awaited the update to his adveatus.
He didn't have any specific skill in mind that he desired, but he simply wanted ohat wouldn't put him at a disadvantage pared to the others.
And his wish was granted, as he had an iing skill amongst the three options he resented.
Hunter and abnormal resistance were, of course, the first two options.
Their requirements were known, so they were easy ter, and therefore expected.
However to his pleasant surprise, the final optioed to him proved to be quite intriguing – a skill called "Sting Blood." The description read, "Being near a badly wounded enemy spurs you into a frenzy, driving you to move at a faster speed towards them to deliver a critical blow." This was a situational speed boosting plus damage skill that would be invaluable in the dungeon if used right.
While he couldn't be sure if it was truly better than the "Hunter" development ability, the allure of having a unique skill for himself was too tempting to pass up.
Moreover, it seemed well-suited to his personal bat style, which further ted his decision.
With his choice made, Bahamut updated Michalis' status, officially granting him the title of a Level 2 Adventurer.
Feeling a bit excited, Michalis exited the room to summon the person in line.
Seeing Michalis emerge, Eleni turo Cir and politely inquired, "Do you want to go in first?" Cir pted the offer briefly before shaking her head.
"No, I'm fih being st," she said, her gaze briefly flickering towards Drabsp;
"Or sed to st," she corrected, remembering his iion to go st.
"I see," Eleni replied, then turned aered Bahamut's room.
Michalis looked around the corridor and saw that Draco was busy.
W what to do , his gaze nded on Cir, who was now alone since Eleni had left.
‘Should I approach her’ he wondered, but soon came to a decision.
Michalis decided to go and sit o Cir.
Just a few steps away from her, Michalis suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.
Immediately his eyes instinctively sed the area for the sourbsp;
Soon he found it, his gaze stopping on Vasiliki, who was seated o Drailing pyfully in his dire.
When their eyes met, Vasiliki wi him, an a that sent Michalis' suspis into overdrive.
'What is she up to?' he wondered, his eyes narrowing as he tried to decipher her iions.
Vasiliki, notig Michalis' rea, quickly surmised his thoughts.
'How silly, he's so easy to read. I was just giving my support to him f to talk to Cir alone, but his expression says he suspects I'm up to something devious.' she mused.
Deg to avert her gaze in the hope of appeasing Michalis' s, Vasiliki turned her attention elsewhere.
However, Michalis, being cautious, opted not to approach Cir as he had initially pnned.
Instead, he made his way towards Nikoos and Vasileios, who were still engaged in their banter, hoping to avoid any potential mischief from Vasiliki.
'Phew, that was nerve-wrag,' Cir thought in relief.
She became a bit nervous when she saw Michalis approag her.
Cir wasn't quite sure why she suddenly felt this way, and she couldly refuse if he decided to proceed with sittio her, as that would seem odd to the others.
