The next day arrived, and they ate breakfast at their suite. The dining hall was closed because the ship had just entered the Straits of Nehomonde, and the attack, as per the ship’s previous experience when passing through the location, could happen anytime.
At around eight in the morning, a high wizard named Marlon, one of the Supreme Adinor’s assistants, came to lead Anton to where he would stay during the battle. After he said goodbye to his father, he exited the suite, but at the same time, all the mages of the family went out with him so they could go to the wizards’ hall where the other mages would be waiting. They would be waiting there with the other ship’s mages who were lower than a High Wizard rank so they could function as backup just in case there was a need to.
Anton saw that the expressions on his family’s faces which were a mixture of nervousness, dread, and excitement. His father and the others would remain at the suite but Anton was comforted at the fact that they would be guarded by his Clay Golem and his Dire Bear and not only that, all of his family members were armed with a multitude of magic weapons that he made and that they also purchased from magic stores.
The High Wizard, who called himself Marlon, led him to a small room near the deck where the battle with the three ghost ships happened.
“What will happen if the sea monsters attack other parts of the ships?” Anton asked Marlon.
“All focal points were guarded by mages, and not only that, there are runes of confusion that would confuse the sea monsters so they would focus on the areas that we wanted them to go.”
“If you have something like that, then why don’t we just use runes to hide ourselves so we can just bypass this area without confronting the sea monsters?”
“Those kinds of runes are possible but would consume a huge amount of mana that’s needed by the ship to run. The runes of confusion used magic that pulses out the effects in waves, so it consumed a very small amount of mana. Not only that, invisible runes would not work on high-level sea monsters. Just don’t worry and stay in this room and assist the mages that enter so they can memorize their spells faster. Can you fill this magic item with mana?” Marlon said while pointing at the coffee table that Anton had created.
Anton ignored the condescending tone that the wizard was using while talking to him and thought the mage was that way because everyone was just worried. The Supreme Wizards must have borrowed the mana power bank coffee table from his father, and Anders forgot to mention it to him. Not that Anton would complain even if they didn’t return the coffee table since he could easily make another one. He would just remind the ship’s wizards to pay for the table.
He told Marlon that he could refill the mana in the mana power bank coffee table without any problem, and without further ado, the High Wizard left.
Anton activated the switch that would release the mana from the coffee table's mana power bank into the air, and soon, the small room was saturated with tamed mana that would allow wizards to memorize spells faster than normal. Once he added any mage into his party system, the effect would dazzle any wizard who would experience the speed at which they could memorize their spells.

At first, he thought of using a raven summon to spy outside so he could watch the battle but he decided to just not bother. In any case, if for some reason his father and the girls were attacked, he would know since Anton’s summons were by their side.
Soon, he heard a voice announcing to everyone that the attack of the sea monsters had commenced. He knew that it would probably be a while before the first set of mages entered the room where he was staying so he could assist them in memorizing their spells faster, but surprisingly, after an hour, the first seven mages entered the room, and all of them were archmages.
When the wizards felt the mana in the room, their faces were filled with surprise. Then Anton added them to his party system and told them that they could begin memorizing their spells. The wizards retrieved their spell books from somewhere and began memorizing their spells, but Anton could see the extreme surprise on their faces when they experienced how fast they could memorize their spells.
While he was waiting for the wizards to finish, Anton kept refilling the mana in the coffee table mana power bank to make sure that the room was saturated with tamed mana. It was easy for him since just five casts of Frozen Orb and the mana in the power bank would be filled.
After ten minutes, the wizards were done and were replaced by a new set of seven mages, so Anton immediately removed the wizards who were done and added the newly entered mages and then informed them they could begin memorizing their spells.
Soon, Anton felt bored, so in the middle of adding and removing mages in his party system and refilling the big mana power bank, he also spent time surfing the internet. He couldn’t do the more important things in his Diablo II system since he knew that he should not take his attention away from the mages and the situation that was happening.
Based on the few sets of mages that had passed through the room, it normally took around ten to twenty minutes for the wizards to memorize the spells they wanted to use for the battle that was happening.
At around lunchtime, someone arrived with food and served Anton. While he was eating, he was surprised when he saw the Supreme Adinor entering the spell memorization room as he called the room.
Anton stood up and greeted the supreme wizard.
“Sir! Do have any need of me?”
“No, no, don’t stand up. I came here to eat lunch with you.”
After saying that, the Supreme Adinor retrieved food from his spatial item and joined Anton in eating lunch. While they were eating, Adinor updated Anton on what was happening on the ship. The supreme wizard informed him that the attack had been non-stop ever since morning, which was a little unusual. It almost seemed like the sea monsters were desperate to conquer the Amelia, and by their theory, the monsters wanted the ship and its passengers as some sort of source of food.
“I don’t understand. The ocean can provide them an extremely bountiful food and other resources for that matter,” Anton asked.
“We theorized that the sea monsters did not want to venture far from their islands since they were afraid of encountering any of the ghost ships or any armies from the Undead Coalition and leading them to their homes.”
“So the sea monsters were just creatures like us who were afraid of the undead and trying to collect the resources they needed to survive. That’s so pitiful.”
“Do not pity them too much, young archmage. The sea monsters from the Strait of Nehomonde are as cruel as the undead, and they had been victimizing travelers for as long as the history of civilization. It would have been understandable if they hunted the voyagers because they needed food, but even if they had plenty, they do not stop and torture travelers they captured for their amusement.”
