Wang Yun took several deep breaths as his body shook. Was it from excitement at finally having the means to protect himself? Or the joy of reaching such strength in so short a time? Perhaps it was both.
He calmed himself and looked at his surroundings. There were still a few things he needed to confirm. For instance, how much does one point of physique equate to?
He scanned his surroundings. The heaviest object in the hall was already the three-ton block of stone. A Rank 3 martial artist was considered the peak of strength in the vilge. Only the vilge head possessed the strength of a Rank 4 martial artist.
In the end, he improvised by carefully stacking the stones. It took some time, and while it was merely a rough estimate, after several experiments, he concluded that he had approximately 7 tons of lifting strength!
That meant each point was equivalent to 300 kilograms of strength! And judging by the rate of physique increase he had observed over the past few days, except for the first day when his physique awakened near midday, he could gain about 6 points of physique each day! That's roughly 1.8 tons of strength increase per day, even without much exertion!
'Is this a Kryptonian?' he excimed inwardly, his heart pounding. He had always known Kryptonians were powerful from the feats he had seen on Earth, but now that he was one, he couldn't help but be stunned.
Unfortunately, the hall didn't have the necessary equipment to measure someone's speed without observation. He had heard that such wondrous training equipment could only be found in the city.
Still, he was beyond satisfied, even shocked by his results.
At the same time, he wondered, 'Can I fly too? Or even shoot sers out of my eyes?' Like a child with a new toy, he was excited by the thought.
However, since it was te at night, he decided to test it tomorrow. The sun was his greatest companion!
Morning came, as their tavern opened and Wang Yun helped. He couldn't sleep the previous night. The realization that he had left Earth and was now here had kept him awake all night.
He could only be thankful that he retained Wang Yun's memories and had few attachments back on Earth. Otherwise, he wouldn't have accepted his situation so easily.
'Yun, you can go outside and py with your siblings. I'm fine here,' his mother said as she cleaned the table. Even though his mother was a Rank 2 martial artist with a few tons of strength, she looked no different from an ordinary mortal.
Martial artists, no matter how powerful, were just that: martial artists. Only when one broke through this realm and reached the Foundation Establishment realm could they be called a cultivator, defying the heavens and treading the path of immortality.
At least that's what his father had told him.
Alright, Mother!" Wang Yun answered as he went around to the back yard. There he saw little Cai practicing with a wooden sword. Though it would be more accurate to call it pying.
Wang Yun ughed at that. To the side, Xiaosi was seemingly dancing with a spear in fluid motion. Compared to little Cai, she looked like a proper young warrior and dy. Well, little dy.
'Brother! Let's fight!' little Cai noticed him and immediately said.
Wang Yun shook his head and grabbed a wooden sword to the side. 'Come, little Cai. Don't hold back.'
'Argh!' little Cai charged bravely, but as, his little brother was no match for him. It didn't take long before Xiaosi joined their fight, making it 2-on-1.
Wang Yun jumped slightly, avoiding a swipe of the spear aimed at his legs. Suddenly, little Cai pyed dirty and threw dirt at his face.
'Ha ha! Earth Spray Heaven Technique!' he excimed excitedly.
'You brat!'
He tilted his head, dodging the dirt. A spear tip was heading towards him. As he watched it approach, he suddenly felt different. He could perceive his surroundings much more vividly. From the corner of his eyes, he saw some dirt falling slowly in the air. In front of him, his sister's expression of excitement seemed frozen. He raised his eyebrows.
It took a moment for him to realize what was happening. His sister wasn't frozen; she had simply slowed! Even the incoming spear seemed to move slowly.
No, it wasn't that his sister was slow; his perception had become faster!
Wang Yun easily moved to the side, amused to see Xiaosi's expression slowly change.
This state was marvelous. As he observed his surroundings, he felt a growing headache as time passed. This state was wonderful but seemed draining. Was it because he was still weak?
Anyway, like a drowning man finally free of water, everything soon returned to normal.
Whoosh!
The spear swished past. Xiaosi and Cai looked at him with amazed eyes.
Woah, that was amazing! You were here, and suddenly you blurred, swished, and were there!"
"Was that the Light Wave Step Technique? Teach me, brother!"
They excimed with excitement, and Wang Yun's excitement was the same as theirs. He couldn't believe he had achieved this extraordinary feat after all this time.
They practiced and pyed for another hour before Wang Yun excused himself. He ran into the forest. The vilge was simple and peaceful, giving him a calming aura. After living in a city all his life, this was a welcome and rexing new life.
Along the way, he received looks from his fellow vilgers: some mocking, while a few were pitying. Along the way, he overheard a conversation...
"I pn to give this precious herb to the Yang family and Liu family. What will you give them?"
"Scriptures of poems I obtained from my father when he was still wandering..."
"Really? These two families went from ordinary families to having a disciple of the Jade Mountain Sect. Their status has changed greatly... Maybe that will stop the vilge head's domineering attitude."
"Shhh! Be quiet. Besides, these three families have no reason to fight. With the backing of the Jade Mountain Sect, the other two could easily become heads of other vilges..."
Wang Yun, upon hearing that, fell into thought. The vilge head, Du Ku, was a domineering man. They said he bedded seven women each night, though he had only heard of it. He was also the strongest martial artist in the vilge, a Rank 4.
But what made him scary was that, as he always bragged, his son was a disciple of the Jade Mountain Sect. And that his son had reached Rank 7 martial artist and had a great chance of becoming an inner disciple of the sect.
He had no idea how powerful a Rank 7 martial artist was. Still, the fact that a Rank 7 martial artist could only be an outer disciple of the Jade Mountain Sect speaks volumes about the sect's power.
Better to be cautious. If he could, he wanted to know how much stronger a Rank 7 martial artist was so he could calcute how long it would take him to reach that level. But for now, he wanted to let loose in the forest.
His figure soon plunged into the forest. Some guards saw this but dismissed it.
When he gained some distance from the vilge, he no longer held back. His feet burst with strength as his speed increased. Feeling the wind against his face as he shot through the forest like a bullet, he felt exhirated.
'Hup!'
He zigzagged, jumped, and flipped through the air as he ran. Then one of the trees caught his eye. He jumped and swung his fist, hitting the thick branch, splintering and destroying it. He nded on the ground after a roll, a smile etched on his face.
Then seriousness appeared on his face. He stretched his body lightly and shook his hand.
"Can I do it?"
He muttered out loud. Then he put strength into his legs and jumped! He easily reached several meters in the air as he strained himself. 'Fly!' he thought. 'Fly!'
But as, he immediately fell to the ground.
Not deterred, he tried something else. A tree stood in the distance, and he stared hard at it, willing his eyes to burst sers.
Minutes passed, but nothing happened.
"Don't tell me I can't do them?" he mumbled, then tilted his head slightly and thought of something else. He took a deep breath and blew hard.
'Ice breath! Come on!'
As, nothing happened, and he slumped onto the ground.
Maybe he was still too weak, hence he couldn't perform them well. Then he shook his head. He should already be satisfied because his physique would increase over time without him doing anything!
Still, he wondered if he could use cultivation techniques to harness the energy stored within him.
'But those techniques are expensive,' he thought. Then he heard thumping on the ground.
He immediately stood up, facing the direction of the sound. From his view, a rge silver-backed goril suddenly appeared, swinging and nding in front of him.
"Roar!"
