(C4) Apparent Apparitions.

The 3 adventurers get up at first light, all putting on their respective gear and leaving their room. They walk through the streets, on the way, grabbing some pies for breakfast. They sit down at a table and start to eat.

"Marcus," Ina says, breaking the silence and causing his eyes to snap up from the pie he is poking at. "I'm gd you are worried about her, but she'll be fine OK?"

"I know..." Marcus says, looking back to his food. "I just should have done more..."

"We'll find her, the guards are also looking around for her, stop bming yourself so much." Raul says.

"I'm... yeah... right..." Marcus says, taking a bite of his food.

A few minutes ter they are all done with their food and make their way to the orphanage. Walking through the streets and past all of the people. They finally make it to the door. They knock on it and a young woman in a skirt and a blouse answers.

"Hello, how can I help you?" She asks.

"Hi, um, we dropped off a few kids here yesterday and we were coming to check on them..." Raul says.

"Ah! Thank you for leading them here! Come on in." She moves out of the way and gestures inside.

They all walk in and are led into the dining room. The rge table with a lot of chairs in the center, a few shelfs with small bowls and cups along the walls. The woman calls out for the kids to come and a few seconds ter, 10 kids come through a doorway. The six that they saved walk over.

"Thank you for healing my leg!" They boy says to Marcus, causing him to be startled.

He smiles at the boy and crouches down to his level. "You're welcome."

"Now now," The woman says, "didn't they all save you? What should you say to them?"

They all speak at the same time. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome," Raul says, Ina smiles and nods at them. "nobody should have to experience what you all went through, I'm gd you all are doing better!"

Raul turns to the woman, "Thank you for taking care of them. Where is the man that we met st night? I would like to thank him for taking them in on such short notice."

The woman's eyes linger on him for a moment before she speaks, "He was called to the church, they will probably not be coming back, I will send them a letter telling them what you said."

  "Thank you." He says.

Myra stirs awake, snuggling up to the warm and furry pillow behind her. She leans into it and gets comfy.

After a few more minutes she leans up, rubbing her eyes of sleep and blinking them open. She looks ahead and sees a floating woman, entirely white with long white hair, she casts no shadow and her face is not visible. Myra blinks a few more times, rubbing her eyes again just to see the same figure. She screams, causing both the wolf and the woman to jump. Myra quickly turns and presses her face into the wolf.

[What's wrong?!] The wolf says, panicked.

A muffled voice comes from her.

[I can't understand you when you are pressed into me like that...] The wolf says.

She removes her face and looks at the wolf with tears in her eyes, "T-There's a ghost!" she says then pnts her face back in the wolfs fur, shaking.

[Yes, there is, what's wrong?] The wolf says, tilting it's head.

She hears a new voice, "I'm sorry for scaring you." It says, its voice smooth and caring. "I know you might be afraid of me but I will not do anything to you."

She shakily lifts her face from the wolf and turns to the ghost. The ghost has pulled her hair back and her face is now visible revealing a young woman, still floating.

"Hello, my name is Velora, nice to meet you!" She says.

"H-.. Hello..." Myra says, her voice still shaking.

"I hear your name is Myra, is that correct?" Velora asks.

  "Yes..." Myra nods.

[I asked her to help, as I don't have any experience with cooking food.] The wolf says.

"Yes, the big Guardian of the Forest still has their faults." Velora says with a teasing tone and a smug expression.

[Hey! I just have never tried to cook human food!] The wolf says, looking angrily at Velora.

"At least you are asking for help instead of-" Velora's sentence is cut short by Myra's stomach growling, causing Myra to shrink away with a blush.

"Well, its time we get started." Velora says and turns to the wolf. "Would you be so kind as to go get us some ingredients?"

[I-.. Fine, you two have fun while I'm gone...] The wolf says with its head down, starting to walk out of the den.

Once the wolf is gone Myra turns back to Velora, Myra is apprehensive and nervously fidgeting.

"So what do you want to do?" Velora asks, a smile on her face.

"Umm... I-I don't know..." Myra says.

The 3 leave the orphanage and make their way to the guild hall. A rge building lined with silver and gold, huge windows line the walls. They enter and make their way over to one of the guild receptionists. A tall woman with dark brown hair, in a bck suit.

"How can I help you today?" She asks.

"We would like an exploration note for the forest on the way to Kingstead." Raul says.

"Alright, one moment please." She turns around and walks over to a rge set of counters in the back, multiple machine line the top of it. She walks over to one that looks like a typewriter and hits a few buttons on it. A small whir is heard and the machine clicks a few times. It makes one final loud click as the whir comes to an end. It spits out a paper slip. She walks back over to them and gives them the small piece of paper.

"Be careful out there." She says, as the three turn and start to walk out.

"Will do!" Ina calls back, before leaving the building.

They make their way back to the gate, walking up to the exit guard. Raul hands them the paper.

"Ah, going out to try to find that girl?" The guard asks.

"Yeah, how did you know?" Raul asks.

"Word has spread around the guardsmen to look out for Wesker, they told us what happened as well. Good job on the return of those children." The guard says with a respectful nod.

"Thank you. Have a good one." Raul says as the three start walking through.

"You too, and stay safe!" The guard says.

The wolf walks back into the den as ughter fills the air. Myra is ughing as Velora floats around her, occasionally spinning upside-down or making funny faces. The wolf walks over to a wall and puts down another deer, its antlers distorted, and a few potatoes and onions.

"That should work." Velora says floating over.

[Good, anything else needed to get started?] The wolf turns to Velora.

"Just some basic cooking utensils. Just a pot, a rge spoon, some bowls and a stove." Velora says.

[Uhh... I don't have any of those...] The wolf says, looking to the floor.

"That's fine, I can go grab some, be back in a minute!" Velora says, then disappears through the wall.

The wolf turns and walks over to Myra who is still sitting on the bed.

[Seems like you two had a good time.] It says, ying down next to her.

"Yeah... She is a lot nicer than I thought..." Myra says, looking a little guilty.

[Most ghosts are like that, not all. As long as they don't have red eyes they should be nice.]

"Oh, OK." Myra says as she fidgets a little.

The wolf stares at Myra for a moment. [Everything alright?] It asks.

Myra jumps a little, "Oh, um, i-is it really OK for me to be here?" she asks, looking to the wolf.

[Of course, I was the one who asked if you wanted to come.] The wolf says.

"But... I haven't done anything for you..." Myra says, her eyes watering.

[We have talked about this...] The wolf says, bumping Myra's cheek with its nose. [I don't expect anything from you. You have barely lived your life, why should you help me?] It licks her face, causing her to giggle a little.

Myra wipes her eyes, looking back at the wolf in front of her.

"Who's ready for foooood!" Velora sings as she floats back down into the den with a pot, a grill pte, a few bowls, and a spoon.
