Chapter 6: The Mermaid

Steam rose from the pond water, and sparks flew. The sight of water and fire merging was an eye-opener. Suddenly, the girl leaped up, crossing the water with a jump, and with a swish, she fell back into the pond. Liu Sen's eyes widened. This was not a human; she was a mermaid! A real mermaid!

Because her lower half was a golden tail, and her chest also had golden scales, much like the most beautiful bras of humans, but aside from these two pces, the rest of her body was no different from ordinary people. Her soft belly had a cute navel, perhaps marking the boundary between her human and fish halves. Her breasts were also plump, no different from humans, except for this unremovable bra!

Alto smiled, "Brother, the dance of this mermaid is indeed stunning, and it's your favorite when it gets to the end. Do you still remember?"

This wasn't the first time. What else could happen at the end if not a dead fish? This was not human. Liu Sen felt conflicted. Cooking animals was something humans did every day, which seemed not a big deal, but this mermaid was different. She was so beautiful, with her head looking no different from humans. Was this cooking a person or food?

"Will she die?" Liu Sen didn't remember what he loved most before.

"After she dances for an hour, her scales will fall off, and you can do what you love with her!" Alto ughed, "Haven't you always said that mermaid blood is cold, and it's more thrilling to make love after heating it up?"

Making love after heating it up? Would the mermaid still be alive after making love? Liu Sen's hairs stood on end, and he shook his head continuously, "I don't remember, and I don't feel it's... thrilling!"

"The young master said, make it more thrilling!" Alto shouted, "Increase the firepower!"

The room suddenly brightened, and the water temperature rose. The mermaid leaped again, bouncing immediately upon touching the water, perhaps because the scales on her lower body had better resistance. Towards the end, she hardly touched the water with her upper body, using only her tail to jump in the pond. This kind of jumping was helpless but also stunning. The dance was indeed otherworldly, but Liu Sen had already changed color. It was too cruel because he saw tears on her face and the area above her navel starting to redden, but she didn't make a sound, perhaps because she couldn't speak.

Seeing Liu Sen's displeasure, several magicians thought the young master was unhappy with the progress and increased the firepower even more. Amidst the bright fmes, Liu Sen suddenly stood up, shouting "Stop!" with authority.

The magicians stopped at once, staring at him dumbfounded, as did his brother, who looked at him in surprise.

Liu Sen took a deep breath, "Brother, can you give me this mermaid?"

Alto smiled, "Of course, this was prepared for you! Do you want to see her perform a few more times? But building this special pond will take some time, I'll find someone to build it for you!"

"Thank you, brother!" Liu Sen bowed slightly, "No need, I want to take her away!"

"Someone!" Alto shouted, "Take this mermaid to the young master!"

Several people came in, but Liu Sen raised his hand to stop them, turning to someone nearby, "Grus, you come! Be careful, I won't forgive you if you tear her skin!" Her tender skin already had blisters, but she still used her tail as support, continuously jumping in the pond.

Grus took the order, standing by the pond for a long time. As the mermaid jumped again, he suddenly reached out, swinging a rge white cloth, wrapping the mermaid accurately, gently pulling her from the air into his arms. Just as he caught her, the mermaid's eyes slowly closed, with two clear tears at the corners of her eyes.

"I'll leave first!" Liu Sen shook hands with his brother gently and turned to leave. Leaving his brother in a daze, the brother's interests seemed to have changed. Previously, they would act only after the mermaid's scales fell off, but it was still early today! Could it be that he wanted to forcefully peel off her scales? It was fun, indeed, but the bloody scene somewhat dampened the mood!

Regardless, as long as he was happy, Alto watched his brother leave. Once Liu Sen and his party disappeared, a strange expression slowly appeared in his eyes, completely transforming him, no longer the image of a frivolous youth.

By the side of the sea, on the white sand beach, Grus stood far away, surprised. The young master had asked for medicine for burns and personally applied it on the mermaid for a long time. Was this a new kind of fun? He had no right to ask, not even to look closely.

Liu Sen stood up, satisfied. The burn medicine was quite effective. Just after applying it, the blisters on her body began to shrink, and her expression slowly turned from pain to peace. She hadn't woken up. Liu Sen washed the medicine off his hands by the sea, and a soft cry came from behind him, like a baby's light cry in a dream. Liu Sen turned back, just in time to meet her eyes. She had opened her eyes, looking around. Upon seeing him, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, showing an extreme dislike, clearly recognizing him.

"Can you speak?" Liu Sen stepped forward, bending down.

No response, only a hateful gaze.

Liu Sen softly said, "I know what they did was too cruel. Whether you understand me or not, I want to say I'm sorry!"

  The mermaid's eyes suddenly widened.

Liu Sen gently smiled, "The sea is right in front of us. If you want to go back, you can leave anytime after your wounds heal. I'll stay here to guard you, no one dares to disturb you!"

The mermaid's eyes slowly closed. Liu Sen watched her for a long time, finally turning to look at the sea. Was the deep sea her home? The vast ocean is home to many marine creatures, and their Wind God Isnd is a nightmare for many people. Perhaps not only for humans but also for these marine creatures.

As the young master and future lord of Wind God Isnd, what role should he py? Enjoying the thrill of power, continuing the unrestrained pleasure? It was easy and indeed very intoxicating, but he felt his heart wasn't that hard; some things were difficult to do...

He didn't know that as he watched the sea, the mermaid beside him had opened her eyes, watching him for a long time, as if memorizing every detail of his body.

After an hour, Liu Sen turned back, and the mermaid's eyes closed again. Liu Sen opened the bag beside him, took out some jerky, and brought it to her mouth, gently saying, "Eat!"

The mermaid gently shook her head, her tender red lips brushing against the jerky. She could understand words!

"You don't like jerky?" Liu Sen scratched his head, "What do you like? Do you like eating fish?"

  She shook her head!

"Maybe I know what she likes to eat!" Someone said behind him, "She likes eating pnts from the sea!" It was Grus, who had appeared next to the rocks, with a strange expression on his face.

"Really?" Liu Sen was overjoyed, "Go get some!... Never mind, I'll do it myself, it's not that hard!" With the tide, he saw some marine pnts under the rocks by the sea.

Grus didn't move. Liu Sen got up, ran a few steps, and walked slowly to the edge of the sea. Taking advantage of the receding tide, he stepped over, quickly reached out, grabbed a handful of seaweed, and stood up. But a big wave suddenly hit, catching Liu Sen off guard, swallowing a mouthful of seawater, coughing repeatedly, and spitting out the water. Liu Sen cursed with a smile, "Bitter to death!"

Grus rarely showed a smile, quickly stepped forward, and pulled him out of the sea.

"Do you like this?" Liu Sen brought the seaweed to the mermaid's mouth, gently rubbing it on her red lips, "Strange, what's so good about this?"

The mermaid's eyes slowly opened, tears appearing, her mouth also opened, and she ate a small piece of seaweed, eating very slowly. Finally, she took the seaweed from Liu Sen's hand and ate slowly by herself.

Thus, every day Liu Sen would bring her a little water grass, just one or two strands were enough. Grus neither stopped him from going into the sea nor helped, letting him do it himself.

On the third day, the scars on the mermaid's body fell off one by one. After dusk, she sat on her tail, staring bnkly at the sea, with Liu Sen's voice beside her, "Your wounds are almost healed. Do you want to go back?"

  The mermaid nodded lightly.

Liu Sen smiled, "Great! Come, let's see if I can lift you up!... Your tail is really too long!" Bending down, he lifted her up, slowly walked to the sea, and gently pced her in the water. A wave rolled over, the mermaid's tail slightly tilted, her hair also curling up like silk, quietly sliding into the depths of the sea.

She had finally left. Liu Sen cpped his hands, satisfied. Releasing her turned out to be so comfortable!

"Young master!" Grus beside him said, "Shall we go back?"

"Sit for a while!" Liu Sen smiled, "Don't you think it's comfortable by the sea?" Sitting by the sea, watching the sunset sink into the sea, the waves sparkling with thousands of golden waves, was like a dream!

Grus didn't sit; he stood on the rocks, watching the horizon for a long time.

Suddenly, a song came from the sea, so soft and vast. Liu Sen looked up in surprise. A few dozen yards ahead, a golden figure skimmed over the waves, jumping. It was her! The mermaid, dancing for him! Dancing while singing, the song was clear and melodious, and the dance was incomparably beautiful. This was the real dance, belonging to the world's most touching dance, because it represented life and freedom!

"The dance of the mermaid is a dance of gratitude!" Someone beside him said, "Congratutions, young master!" The dance in that scorching pool was not really a dance, just a struggle for survival.

Liu Sen turned his head, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, "If she can sing, why can't she speak?"

Grus couldn't answer this question, and perhaps no one could. Because the mermaid race had never spoken a word to any other race, especially humans.

As they turned and walked away, their silhouettes gradually merging into the night, the sea surface revealed a beautiful face, hair flinging water droplets. She watched the disappearing figures intently, fascinated for a long time, finally approaching the rock by the sea, quietly slipping into the water. When she reappeared, her hands held a rge bunch of water grass, and with this bunch of water grass, the mermaid disappeared into the vast sea.
