Awakening and Bonds

The golden sun cast its rays over the Yang Cn’s vast territory, painting the ndscape in hues of red and orange. The aftermath of the battle still lingered in the air, the scent of blood mixing with the crisp wind.

Yang Rui stood on the edge of a rooftop, her breathing heavy, her wounds throbbing. The fight with Mei Ling had drained her core nearly to depletion, and now her Mudhara Qi had dissipated completely. She could still feel the lingering pain of battle—the deep cuts, the bruises, the dull ache of exhaustion.

Despite it all, her spirit remained unbroken.

She exhaled and bent her knees, drawing on the st vestiges of strength within her body. With a powerful leap, she soared into the sky, propelled by sheer force and determination.

As she reached her peak, her sharp gaze scanned the nd below.

  And then—she spotted her.

  Wang Li.

She was running, her pace frantic, her long hair trailing behind her like a comet’s tail. She was heading toward the Royal Training Grounds.

Yang Rui nded heavily, her feet smming against the ground. The impact sent a jolt of pain through her battered body, but she gritted her teeth and pushed forward.

Her Qi was depleted, but she didn’t stop.

Her charming face, despite being streaked with blood, still carried an ethereal beauty. Under the sunlight, she looked almost divine—a warrior goddess, fighting for virtue, for duty, for her people (Btw she is thick).

Her muscles screamed in protest, but she forced herself to keep moving. Wang Li would not escape.

  ---

  Inside the House

The room was dimly lit, the flickering glow of candles casting eerie shadows against the walls. The scent of herbs and dried blood filled the air.

Wang Li’s heart pounded as she stared at the figure lying before her.

  Xu Wang.

His body was covered in wounds, his once-strong frame now fragile and broken. But the worst of it—his legs.

They were cracked, glowing red, pulsating with an unnatural light.

  Her breath hitched.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she reached forward, her fingers trembling. "Xu…"

A hand suddenly rested on her shoulder.

A cold shiver ran down her spine.

  She spun around—

And came face to face with Yang Shen, the elder of the Yang Cn.

Without thinking, she swung her fist at him, rage fueling her strike.

  But—

  He caught her hand effortlessly.

She struggled, trying to break free, but it was useless. She was just a normal girl. She had no Qi, no power.

"What have you done to Xu Wang?!" she screamed, her voice raw with emotion.

Yang Shen’s expression remained calm. "Do not fear, child. He is merely forging a core for the Mudhara Qi."

Wang Li’s eyes widened. "What… what do you mean?"

Yang Shen sighed. "I will expin everything when he awakens. For now, sit beside him. He will need you when he wakes."

Wang Li hesitated, her body trembling, but eventually, she knelt beside Xu Wang. Her hands reached for his, gripping them tightly.

His skin burned with fever. His wounds—so many wounds.

"Why does he have so many wounds?" she whispered.

Yang Shen turned away. "Because pain makes one stronger."

Before she could question him further, the door burst open.

Yang Rui stood there, barely holding herself upright.

She was panting heavily, gripping the doorframe for support. Blood dripped from the corner of her lips, but her fiery eyes locked onto Wang Li with unyielding determination.

"You…" she growled. "You are an intruder. You are under arrest."

Wang Li turned, her expression unyielding. "We are not your enemies!"

Yang Rui clenched her fists, rage flickering in her gaze. "You are allies of the Sun Cn. That makes you my enemy!"

Before she could take another step forward, Yang Shen raised his hand. "Calm yourself, Rui. These two are not intruders. They are our guests."

  Yang Rui froze. "Guests?"

"Yes. Now… you need medical treatment. Go."

Yang Rui hesitated. Then, without another word, she colpsed.

Yang Shen sighed, stepping forward and picking her up effortlessly. He turned back to Wang Li. "Rest. Your friend will awaken soon."

And with that, he disappeared into the night sky.

  ---

  Nightfall—Xu Wang Awakens

  Xu Wang’s body burned.

He could feel every aching muscle, every wound, every pulse of raw, untamed energy coursing through his veins.

  And then—

  His eyes flickered open.

His vision was blurry at first, but as it cleared, he saw her.

  Wang Li.

She was sitting beside him, her head resting on their joined hands. She had fallen asleep while holding him.

A faint smile touched his lips.

Slowly, he tried to move his hand.

The moment he did, Wang Li’s eyes snapped open.

  Their gazes met.

  And then—

She threw herself onto him, hugging him tightly.

Her body trembled against his. "I thought I lost you," she whispered, her voice filled with unshed tears. "I was ready to give up my life…"

  Xu Wang exhaled. "I’m fine."

Wang Li pulled back slightly—just enough to look into his eyes.

Then, before he could say another word—

  She kissed him.

Xu Wang’s entire body stiffened. It was their first kiss.

The warmth of her lips, the desperation, the raw emotion—he could feel everything.

As she pulled away, she whispered, "Xu Wang… we have been together for so long. But I don’t want to hold back anymore. Can you comfort me?"

  Xu Wang stared at her.

And then—he sealed her lips with his own.

The night stretched on, their emotions overwhelming them both. Their fears, their pains, their love—everything was poured into that moment (Atleast he get it).

The world outside did not exist.

  Only the two of them.

  ---

  The Next Morning

The first rays of dawn filtered through the windows.

Wang Li was curled up beside Xu Wang, her fingers still intertwined with his.

A voice suddenly broke the silence.

"Hey… aren’t you taking advantage of his defenseless state?"

Wang Li stirred, her eyes fluttering open.

Standing in the doorway—wrapped in bandages—was Mei Ling.

Wang Li’s eyes widened. Without thinking, she lunged forward and wrapped her arms around her.

  Mei Ling groaned. "Ouch…!"

Wang Li quickly pulled back. "I heard you were badly hurt!"

Mei Ling smirked weakly. "Yeah, well… my core is in recovery mode. My body is healing, but for now, I can’t fight."

  Before Wang Li could respond—

A sound echoed through the room.

A window appeared before Xu Wang, flickering with bright golden light.
