Chapter 99
We spread out on the worldship and find stiff opposition. At first, I dispatched just pockets of a few hundred Yuuzhan Vong with scientific curiosity. I use the force against them and found some interesting things. The force can be used against them, but not directly. I can power myself up with the force and throw a heavy bone-snapping punch with little worry, but if I try to use the force to lift them or tear arms off, the force doesn't have the best traction. Using the force against the Yuuzhan Vong is much like a yellow post-it note with its weak glue; it takes effect, but not well.
Mind manipulation has little effect on them, as do illusions, but telekinesis is still gloriously useful if used on their clothes. Force lighting is very effective against the Yuuzhan Vong crab-like armour, but lightsabers can't cut through them either. The Yuuzhan Vong living snake staff weapons are scary cool, as when one of my dopplegangers breaks the neck of a Yuuzhan Vong, the weapon slithers away and tries to bite a passing doppleganger, only to get a swift kick to the head, which turns it into chum.
I suspect that the Yuuzhan Vong have purposely studied the Force, our galaxy technology and lightsabers to counter all three with their armour and weapons. No way in hell did this species evolve to be a natural defence to all of our galaxy's most powerful abilities and tools, especially when you know that they came from a different galaxy altogether. The odds of a species evolving counters to powerful weapons from a different galaxy are stupendously low and unnecessary according to the survival of the fittest.
In my opinion, the Yuuzhan Vong have planned this for some time, and if they planned this type of death of killing, then I hold zero morals in wiping the floor with them; if you kill, then you must expect to be killed in return.
Still, I'm not here to just kill Yuuzhan Vong, I'm here for their wonderful genetic bio-technology. It's been reported that the Yuuzhan Vong hate technology but managed to increase their bio technology to the highest levels, enough to travel through the void between galaxies and survive. The energy development and efficiency alone must be out of this world, quite literally out of this galaxy.
I'm personally here to invade and capture any data I can get my grubby little hands on, and there wasn't any way the Yuuzhan Vong could stop me. My physical power dwarfs theirs, and I can rip arms off and snap weapons into pieces without the force supercharging me. I leave a trail of death and broken bodies that would leave any Sith lord proud. I don't feel any pity for them.
As I kill and travel through the maze-like underground, I come across species that I recognise. The Ssi-ruu were cool-looking red mini T-rexies that had invaded the outer rim worlds from the Unknown Regions. I didn't know much about these creatures as I was cut off from my information network when they started to invade, but that changed here and now because, while they were tough little nerf herders, they were connected to the force. I drained the knowledge from their minds and filled in my missing information about them and the Yuuzhan Vong.
Stolen novel; please report.
Useful information unrivalled from the little dinosaur's mind. The Yuuzhan Vong had conquered them, and while they hated technology, the Yuuzhan Vong greatly respected pain to a religious degree, and the Dinos had a perfect tech that ripped the life-energies of sentient beings and used them as power sources. The Ssi-ruu would say that it didn't hurt anyone, but they didn't use it on their species and the silent screams of the blue-like ghost they used as a power source told otherwise.
I ignored the Ssi-ruu memories of galactic struggles and cultural spanning aeons; right now, I was only interested in the Yuuzhan Vong.
The little info I received explained a lot of implausible actions the Yuuzhang Vong took. The fact that they had spread out to attack in multiple directions and not concentrated their number was because they thought themselves divinely protected and loved war, killing and pain. It was, in fact, due to their god, who had ripped parts of his body off to create the universe, that they didn't fear dying or pain; they expected it.
The Yuuzhan Vong didn't care about taxes, resources and reputations, They believed that it was their right to take over, kill the force and take over. They believed it was their manifested destiny to take control and nothing could stop them.
Their whole civilisation was religious-based with different castes, such as the priests and seers caste, but the majority of Yuuzhan Vong were the warrior caste that held great sway over everything.
This was problematic. How do you stop a religious army from attacking when their most sacred texts say this was the way? The only way I knew of was to wipe them out. Thankfully, the Ssi-ruu had a basic understanding of the Yuuzhan Vong laungaue and bio-tech that made it easier for me and my dopplegangers to take whatever we wanted without missing anything that could be hidden. Unique bio readings that I wouldn't even know were readings and information were revealed to me. The red dino was whisked away to be frozen in carbonite for later.
The Ssi-ruu weren't alone when being packed in carbonite; a horde of ships had landed on the worldship now that my distraction had taken effect, and each of my stealth ships was filled to the brim with samples. It didn't matter if you were a powerful Jedi or a ruthless Sith or even a forceless Yuuzhan Vong; getting packed in carbonite was the same for all.
I continued with punches and kicks. The Yuuzhan Vong, while plentiful, was only a fraction of what there truly was. Capturing the worldship was surprisingly easy. The Yuuzhan Vong had almost abandoned it as it was dying, and they were going to make Coruscant into their new home by terraforming it.
There was a leader, but he quickly fell to the many kicks and punches of my dopplegangers. The New Republic army and Jedi that had made their way to the leader found him in a corner, on the floor, trying to get back on his feet and fight back, but surrounded by doppelgangers beating the ever-living waste out of him. This wasn't a battle, it was a one-sided playground beating. A beating that the Yuuzhan Vong leader enjoyed.
