Every so often, I stop crafting long enough to write down what I have come up with so far. Even if my mind is split, that doesn’t mean that I have enough arms to do two things at once. Although, I suppose that I could shapeshift into a form that has four arms and do that.

  The problem with that is that I don’t know if Divided Mind would be enough to let me control four arms. I am tempted to give it a try, but even if it works it would take time to get used to. I will have to wait and try it out later, while crafting isn’t a good time to try it out.

  I think I remember someone saying that the ogre clan is a four-armed type of beastman. Maybe I will wait until I meet them and then copy their form to try it out, if they don’t mind. After all, I want them to join me so I don’t want to risk insulting them by copying them.

  Then again, I can always copy them and just try it out later, after I am on the land bridge. If it turns out that I can work four arms at once, adding another two arms to my normal form would be really effective. When it comes to combat, I could totally turn myself into a blender with four sets of claws.

  That would work extremely well against pretty much anything that doesn’t have a ranged attack. Also, with four arms I could deflect a lot of non-magical ranged attacks fairly easily. So, really all I would have to worry about would be magical attacks and those I can counter with a bit of concentration.

  The only downside I can see to giving my main form four arms is that I would be more intimidating. That will make meeting new people difficult, but I can just use it in combat situations. It will all depend on if I can use four arms at once with proper coordination.

  It is something that I will keep in mind when I do meet the ogres, but for now I have enough on my plate. If I think about other things too much I am going to get distracted and that happens far too much. In order to actually get things done, I need to keep focused on them.

  I am glad that no one else comes down to my workshop, it is a real mess right now. There are various weapons, armor, and pieces of paper spread all over the room. All the pieces of paper have enchantments, plans, and other notes scribbled on them.

  To someone who doesn’t know what I am doing, I would probably look like some kind of mad scientist. Or at best a crazy inventor, just because there are no crazy experiments going on. Normally, I put the weapons and armor away once they are enchanted, but since I am not enchanting them right now they are laying around the floor.

  However, I am making some good progress on the plans, so I don’t care how it looks. The only ones likely to come down here are the kids and they won’t really care what it looks like. Thinking of the kids, maybe I should arrange for them to try out various crafts as well as the arts.

  Crafting can be just as fun if it is something that you like doing, just like the arts. If nothing else, I am sure that they will enjoy trying, just because it is something new. I don’t really have the time to do it myself, but I am sure I can find some crafters willing to help.

  I will find Sarah later, she will know the local crafters and she is familiar with my kids. I would try using the summoned crafters, but most of them are leaving and have other concerns. Walter is staying, but I feel like my kids are too young to be exposed to his attitude.

  While I keep crafting and working on the plans for the capital, I start getting tired. It is not the sleepy kind of tired, but all the same it starts getting harder to work on two things. I quickly figure out that it is mental fatigue, but that isn’t surprising since I have been working for hours.

  Since I need a break, I decide to head over to Sarah’s inn for a meal and to chat with her. The food isn’t quite as good as when Aaron is here, but it is still delicious. While I am eating I tell Sarah about the kids playing around with the arts and my idea to let them try various crafts.

  Sarah says “Sure, I can do that. I know plenty of crafters here in the city. They may not be on the same level as the summoned crafters, but they are good enough.”

  “That’s fine, it is just the basics. If the kids find something they like, I can arrange more training later. It is more important that they know what my kids are and are okay with it.”

  Sarah says “That won’t be a problem. They are all beastmen that used to be outcasts, they would charge into hell for you.”

  “Hopefully, dealing with my kids won’t be that bad for them!”

  Sarah says “I’m sure it won’t be.”

  “So, can you arrange that for me and set up a reward for the craftsmen that help?”

  Sarah says “Of course, it won’t be any trouble at all.”

  “Great, thank you.”

  Sarah says “No problem!”

  She then gets up and leaves, but she quickly returns, bringing me another serving without even asking me. It looks like she knows me too well at this point, I always have room for more. With as big as my normal form is getting, that is perfectly understandable though.

  Come to think of it, at some point I should probably eat until I am full in my normal form. Although, so far it doesn’t seem like my body needs the food, it is probably sustained through mana. That would explain why dragons need to sleep when the world’s mana is at its lowest.

  I just hope that if I do manage to evolve into a dragon that I am not subject to the same rules. Then again, with my current age I should count as a baby dragon, so that rule shouldn’t apply. Even if it does, I should be able to find another method besides sleeping all of the time.

  I wonder if my mana gathering tattoo is enough to keep me from needing to sleep? If so, does that mean that the tattoo could work for the dragon as well? That would definitely get me into trouble with the goddesses, but with the dragon on my side it might be worth it.

  I guess I will just have to wait until I have evolved and see what happens to me. Although, I am guessing that it is going to take at least one more evolution after this one to have a chance at becoming a true dragon. However, I am sure that I can get there eventually, I can be patient if I have to.
