However, as much as I want to satisfy my curiosity, it still isn’t worth having all three mad at me for waking them up. Besides, I am also curious as to if anything fun is going to happen once they wake up. With some effort, I finally manage to doze off and sleep until one of the girls wakes up.

  Her movement wakes the other two and I am finally able to move around a little. It doesn’t take long for my curiosity to get satisfied as the four of us have breakfast in bed. It is definitely not a healthy breakfast, but I certainly have a lot of fun with it.

  However, I make sure not to fall asleep again after the fun and keep myself from getting pinned. Since the three of them are apparently going to sleep for a while longer, I use the gate back to the castle. Finding the castle empty, I head straight to the T.V. and use it to take a look at my old world.

  Unfortunately, there are no zombies to be found, my world is just as boring as when I left it. I do check on my friends, but other than that there is really nothing that I want to see. Instead, I change channels and check stores in each world looking for specific anime series.

  Despite checking the remaining eleven worlds, I end up not being able to find what I am looking for. A lot of the series still exist in the other worlds, just under different names, but they don’t continue. I find myself seriously disappointed, I was sure that I would be able to find at least one anime that had another season.

  To make matters worse, out of the twelve worlds only one of them has zombies. Isabella’s world has mana, but it isn’t doing anything interesting yet, so I ignore it. While I am waiting for Lin, I randomly look around the one world that has zombies.

  The reality is quite a bit different from what the movies and series portrayed, but still entertaining. There is a lot less drama and more running and screaming, but that is what makes it fun to watch. I have the thought of looking to see if there is another version of me in this world, but I decide I don’t want to know.

  I don’t want to be tempted to do something to help another me or see how they are doing. I am not sure what would happen if I tried and for once I am not interested in finding out. I have read enough series and watched enough movies about it to know it never ends well.

  Besides, all that multiverse stuff is annoyingly complicated and I have enough to deal with. On top of that, I don’t like myself enough to want to deal with another version of me. So, the T.V. is going to remain just a form of entertainment for me and I won’t think about anything else.

  With that in mind, I randomly choose a group of survivors and sit back to watch them. As I am watching them, Kechara comes in alone and heads over to where I am sitting. She shrinks down and cuddles into my arms, it is almost like when she was still little.

  “Hello, little one. How is the mountain?”

  Kechara says “How did you know I went to check on the mountain?”

  “Because that is pretty much the only time I see you without some of your siblings with you.”

  Kechara says “Oh, I guess that makes sense. The mountain is fine, the spiders are still really quiet. You do know that I am not so little anymore, right?”

  “Of course I do. You are almost as big as I am in my normal form, but even if you get to be bigger than me, you will always be my little one.”

  Kechara says “I can live with that, I guess. So, what series are you watching? I don’t recognize it.”

  “This isn’t a T.V. series. This T.V. allows me to scry into my old world, multiple versions of it. What we are looking at is what is currently happening on one of those worlds.”

  Kechara says “Oh, okay. Why are there multiple versions of your world? Does that mean there are multiple versions of this world as well?”

  “I’m sorry, Kechara. I don’t know the answers to your questions. We only recently found out about the multiple earths and we don’t really have a way to figure it out. I don’t think even Lin has an idea about it.”

  Lin who just entered says “What don’t I have an idea about?”

  “Why there are multiple versions of earth.”

  Lin says “Oh, yeah. I have absolutely no clue!”

  Kechara says “That’s too bad. It would be fun to explore other versions of this world.”

  “Well, I won’t say that it is impossible, but you would probably have to master dimensional magic to do so.”

  Kechara says “Dimensional magic is the higher level of space magic, isn’t it?”

  “Yes, that’s right.”

  Kechara says “Lin, do you have books on dimensional magic?”

  Lin says “Not in my library. The tower library has some, but I haven’t copied those yet. I do have some on space magic though.”

  Kechara says “Okay. I am going to go take a look at them.”

  Kechara hugs me and then flies up the stairs while Lin takes her place and sits in my lap. She cuddles with me as we watch the survivors struggle against the zombies and other humans.

  Lin says “It’s sad that even as their world is facing an apocalypse they are still fighting amongst themselves.”

  “It is sad, but it is also what I expected.”

  Lin says “I think that is even more sad. Is this your world?”

  “No. My world is just how I left it, but the same thing would happen there.”

  Lin says “So, you don’t plan to go back?”

  “Nope, never! I’ve told you that several times. Do you doubt me that much?”

  Lin says “I think it isn’t so much about doubt as it is fear. I fear losing you.”

  “Try to stop worrying about it. You are not going to get rid of me that easily. The only thing you have to worry about is me dying, because that is the only way I am leaving you.”

  Lin says “That makes me feel better, even though you have said it before. For some reason, just hearing it helps.”

  “That’s good. Now, we should talk about my plans.”

  Lin says “Have you come up with something aside from your hunting trip?”

  “Nope, but I should be ready to leave soon. In fact, the only thing left that I can think of is adding that enchantment to the system. My only worry is that me leaving this soon is going to upset Mercy.”

  Lin says “It should be fine. She was already talking about all the work she needs to do to prepare her kingdom to surrender to you. As long as you talk to her and don’t just up and vanish, it shouldn’t be a problem.”

  “Good. That is a relief. In that case, all I need is for you to finish taking a look at the enchantment.”

  Lin says “Alright. I will do that while you go talk to Mercy. I believe Brightfire was going to give her a tour of the capital.”

  “Sounds good.”
