Chapter 120: Fighting Hordes Of Dark Spirits

Listen While Reading: Battle I [Extended]

  -----

Vd bined his spells and skills together, abs the red moonlight to unleash an incredibly powerful spell against the army of Dark Spirits below, before they were to realize they were there.

  “{Crimson Moon Are Arts}: {Infernal Blood Meteor Rain}!”

  FLAAASH!

Massive four-meter-big meteors made of crystalized blood energy covered with infernal fmes fell from the skies, reag the gregated Dark Spirits and causing tremendous chaos!

  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Dark Spirits were crushed by these massive meteors before the explosions engulfed them, killing them instantly by the dozens.

The almost a hundred Dark Spirits quickly lost a third of their numbers with that attack alone, although Vd was left exhausted, having used over half his Ara reserves iting.

  RUMBLE!

As the dark forest trembled, the camp at the southern outskirts felt rge tremors e from the forest, most goblins gng into the distah worried expressions.

Their leader and chief seemed to grip his axe’s haightly as the Hobgoblin gnced into the distahinking about his warriors and their leader, Gofumina.

“Damn brat, you better not screw this over!”

Meanwhile, a certain goblin girl and her little squad were gng from very far away, fbbergasted. Their jaws had already dropped into the ground, as their eyes popped out of their faces almost like exaggerated cartoons.

“S-So that’s the power of the Vampire Prince, huh? Damn…” The goblin girl’s eyebrows twitched as she smiled in disbelief, cold sweat falling from her forehead and neck. “Uuuh, guys. We better get out of here, right? Yeah.”

  “I-I agree!”

“We have done everything in our power!”

“Our chief said we shouldn’t really engage against the intruders anyways!”

“Prince Vd is way too much for us! That’s the foe our tractor will fight, not us!”

The Goblins nodded nervously; they sidered themselves pretty strong, but against such overwhelming magical power, they were just ants…

They realized that the rumors about Vd being a zy and pathetic vampire prince were all some kind of lie made by the nobles and that he was actually hiding his power this eime!

“Vampires are scary; never mess with them!”

“They trol this entire Empire for a reason, you know?!”

“Gofumina, let’s get out of here! Vampires are just ridiculous beings altogether! It almost feels unfair just how strong they’re born!”

“Hah, you guys are sure pathetic, b-but I guess there’s no helping it! A-As the leader, I better help you out, geez…!”

Gofumina acted all tough out of nowhere, her goblin panions gring at her while squinting their eyes; she was really pying it out as if she was the brave one when she suggested esg in the first pce.

They quickly began jumping from tree to tree, explosions reverberating behind them stantly, as Gofumina gred behind for a sed, her eyes widening.

“Oh? They’re fighting back! You guys, look!”

The entire goblin group stopped, notig the Dark Spirits growing giant bat-like wings and flying into the skies. They actually could fly if they waheir shapeshifting bodies allowed them a lot of flexibility.

The surviving Dark Spirits after Vd’s sell rapidly attempted to swarm him and his party! Some of them aiming at the cute incubus boy by his side.

“Wait, do we have a ce actually?!”

“Maybe we should sneak behind them and stab them in the back when they’re weakened!”

  “Let’s lurk around first!”

  “Yeah!”

The goblins regained hope as if they had never acted cowardly before, standing behind huge trees and watg the se py out.

  A…

“You bastards think you’ve got a ce just because you fly now?!” Chris roared angrily. “Get down!”

He waved his hands down as a gigantic beam of pure light pierced through the skies, impag several Dark Spirits at once, dozens of them, actually!

  “{Heaven’s Repulsion}!”

  BOOOMMM!!!

Despite ag rude, though, he anig and ended up using a very powerful and slightly exhausting Spell/Teique at once.

Although it proved to be incredibly successful, killing over twenty Dark Spirits at once!

And there was also a massive hole left in the forest; this, coupled with Vd’s spell, ended up leaving the forest rather… beautifully decorated with new holes everywhere.

  “RAAARRRGGH!”

However, the other Dark Spirits flew towards them, shapeshifting into aberrant and scary shapes; they attacked the group evehey saw their brethren dying hopelessly.

“Don’t think you’ve got a ce!” Vd roared. “I guess it’s time to try out some of my new Skills… Yeah, it’s perfect.”

He quickly maed a sed sword made out of his Fire Spells and the Red Moonlight, infused with some of Chris Holy Aura he grabbed as an ingredient.

  “{Geomancy}: {Holy Blood Fme Sword}!”

While wielding his other sword, he dual-wielded, g against dozens of Dark Spirits at oheir giant bck cws and jaws trying to bite him and tear him apart.

  And then…

  RUMBLE!

His Aura ged, as he unleashed a powerful pressure; fmes of the underworld themselves, glowing purple and dark blue, maed, enpassing his body.

  “{Soul-Dev Underworld Bde Summon}!”

  FLUOSH!

These fmes fused with both of his swords as he activated the skill’s main effect, summoning two Soul-Dev Underworld Bdes, powered up by his soul itself.

As this happened, he swung both bdes against his foes, cutting through them with ease, slig their souls apart while he unleashed powerful teiques.

  “[Soul-Cleaving Scythe]!”

His Bdes became two giant scythes for a moment, cleaving the hardiest of souls instantly.

  SLAAASH! SLAAASH!

  “[Shadow-Cutting Sword]!”

Then the swords went back to normal as he spun in midair, evading the attacks ing from left, right, and below, and while being upside down, he swung his bdes, cutting through the shadows of his foes, and so their souls and bodies.

  SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

  “[Life-Draining Vampiric Bde]!”

While more Dark Spirits appeared behind and below him, he quickly rushed dowing gravity pull him down as he pointed his bdes down, pierg through their bodies, draining their blood while cleaving and slig them apart.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Gofumina aeam quickly stepped back, deg that they were just messing around and they would never actually sider eveing there and fighting them.

“Hahaha… yeah, let’s go back.” Gofumina ughed.

  “T-This is too much…”

“What the hell? Is he really just a vampire?!”

  “Vampires are scary, man!”

As they were about to run away, however, they bumped into something, hitting their faces headfirst into really hard… crystals.

  “Huh?!”

Gofumina aeam gasped in horror, realizing five huge knights, wearing armor made out of emerald jewels, stood before them, overflowing with a strange, venomous, and green-colored aura.

“Intruders that dare interrupt our rituals must be eliminated…”

“Prepare yourselves, heretics that don’t worship the Emerald Maiden…”

“Your deaths shall not be swift, as these Swords of Corrosion shall offer your body to our Emerald Maiden!”

  “Melt to death!”

  “Die and bee oh her!”

They charged forward, swinging their bdes against Gofumina and her goblins! They panicked, pulling out their ons and intercepting their blows, although most were blown away by the impact alone!

  CRAAASH!

“Ungh…! They’re tough! Where the fuck did these bastards e from?!”

Gofumina screamed as she realized her sword was beginning to melt; the emerald swords wielded by the knights were stantly exuding a strange, green-colored acid.

“Fug hell… Ohing after anive me a break!”
