He looked at the thih; it rapidly noticed them, their tless eyes gng at him and his group.
And he also noticed something weird, a person within the slime-like ethereal aura.

“I-It’s a green slime?” Vd asked, notig the thing approag. “Wait, no, there’s a person ihis is… it’s her Aura?!”
“Her Aura?! No way!” Chris muttered. “Ah! Emerlinda! Camil!
“Uwaah! We’re baehow!” Emerlinda muttered. “You guys! This is really bad! I tried to help some goblin girl that looked cute, and I thought she was going to give me a quest, but she ended up being possessed by a giant slime ghost thing! Also, there’s this group of weirdos that wore emerald armor, and they died now, but their power merged with the goblin girl that for some reason wore the armor and…!”
“W-Wait what?! Emerlinda, please just talk more clearly. I barely uand what you’re saying!” Chris said angrily that the half-elf had grown too hysterical to uand properly now. “What are you even saying?”

“Kind of, sometimes,” Vd nodded, crossing his arms. “Camil, what do you think? You fought them right?”
“Yeah, I took them down,” Camil said. “Hmm, they remind me of those bandit guys that worshiped the other Outer One, remember brother?”
“Wait, you mean these emerald knights were members of a cult?!” Vd gasped. “ Then…!”
As they finally maroup, the two learned of what happened from Vd’s sister and Emerlinda. All while the tentacles crept towards them, the sky was no longer a safe pce.

“W-Who are those?” Emerlinda asked. “Bosses?”
“Worse than bosses, they’re like monstrosities from the stars! Pure Lovecraft shit, you get it?!” Chris asked hysterically. “We’ve faced two of them already—well, not them pletely, but the things they bring!”
“Lovecraft?! You mean those eldritch hod things?” Emerlinda gasped. “Oh my gosh! That’s so cool! Fantasia doesn’t even have such a thing! Obscuritas is cool in its own way!”
“This is not cool at all; they’re stalkers and are obsessed with us… With Vd in specific!” said Chris. “They appeared even when we went to ge csses back then!”
“R-Really? That’s scary…” said Emerlinda. “Well, what we do now? Should we run away? But I feel bad about the goblin girl…”

Vd sighed, his eyes gring at the ever-growing monstrosity.
“If this thing tinues spreading aing everything, it might ultimately evolve into something we ’t handle. Worst case, it’ll invade Elderbridge, and I don’t want that…” Vd said. “We’ll take care of it.”
“ we?!” Chris asked. “It’s pure acid thing! Is light even going to work?”
“Whatever they threw at us, it has never mattered, has it?” Vd asked. “Think of it as another challenge. And we’ve grown stronger from eae of them. The Unending Crimson’s rewards gave us a tremendous foundation, then the Desecrated Shadow King ended up giving us a lot of tools and skills, especially for me. Although they might be trying to kill us, to me, they’re opportunities.”
“Are you serious…” Chris sighed, facepalming. “I guess to aent they help, but—ah, fug hell! Damn it, fine! But if something happens to me, you’re taking responsibility!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let harm e to you,” Vd smiled as he noticed the tentacles approag. “Stay behind me! We’ll first have to cut down all these tentacles! Then, we might create a sealing formation to stop its spreading ability.”
“O-Okay then, you’re the boss here…!” Emerlinda nodded. “What do I do?”
“Attack from behind me, use all your elemental spells, a’s see what deals the most damage! I holy have no idea what weakhe Acid Element even has, but something has to work!” Vd said. “Ah, they’re ing!”
As he spoke, dozens of tentacles rushed towards them, attag the group with powerful swings that showed more speed than their rge forms seemed to indicate.

However, Vd intercepted them with his bzing swords, easily cutting through the acid tentacles one by one, unleashing explosions of underworld fmes.

As Vd thought so, he quickly unleashed his Aura, as the power of his Armor activated too, two huge silver-cuardians maed behind him.
The momeacked, the two of them attacked as well with their gigantic silver swords; a siack became three devastating attacks.

Dozens of tentacles exploded into pieces and fell into the ground like a rain of acid. Vd quickly looked down, notig the acid that was separated simply melted and disappeared.
“Okay, that works to aent, but… Dammit!”
He noticed his swords were losing a tremendous amount of Durability, the acid was deadly even against the hard metal of his ons.
“I guess I’ll have t the cavalry…”
He quickly pointed his hands into the sky, as a huge magic circle maed, spinning around.
“Unit Summon!”

And from within the magic circle, the figure of an ioid woman emerged, her eyes shining bright red as her aura of bloodthirst maed fully.
“Yes! Finally master! You’ve finally called meeee! Hahahahaha!”
She didn’t even bother herself to speak, jumping into the monster beh and swinging her fist forward.
BOOOMMM!!!
As a massive shockwave of crimson energies impacted the slime, a tenth of it disappeared, leaving only steam everywhere.
“UUUGGHHH…!”
The monstrous slime groaned in agony, gring at the “thing” that had arrived.
A menace from the era that Obscuritas was dangerous and wild.
A monster among monsters!
“Ia, I’m ting on you! Please deal as much damage as possible!”
“Sure thing, master~! I’ll gdly do so!”
Ia couldn’t be happier; finally she was having some battles.
