The entirety of Techway HQ is filled with an ominous silence, everyone was listening to he who was called "Grandmaster Keller". Mere moments before, the Headmaster of Techway had been murdered out of cold blood, the sounds of his gasps still lingering in the minds of all the Techway employees. In the Headmaster's Quarters, Bellows himself lies dead at his own door while Nond watches, stunned. Chris, Pool, and Corry stare up at the loudspeaker from where they had been hearing Keller's voice.
"You've killed... So many... In the name of order!? Do you know how that sounds!? It sounds like a bunch of bullshit!!" Chris shouts angrily.
"You wouldn't understand what we're trying to do, you're just normal people, your minds aren't as advanced and refined as ours!" The Grandmaster states boisterously.
"Here's something for you, Grandmaster! We aren't normal people! If we work as a team, we can defeat you too!!" Corry shouts, his words filled to the brim with courage.
An ominous silence fills the room, the crew awaits the response from Keller. Nond eventually gulps and builds up enough strength to join back with the group after pressing himself against the wall. As soon as Nond joins the group, his watch starts beeping. He quickly turns his head towards it before lifting his arm up to face the window, which causes the beeping to get faster.
"Huh...? Is that...?" Nond whispers.
"....Ehehe.... As much as I relish the idea of staying and fighting just to show you how completely outcssed you are, I have other important things to attend to, much more important than handling a couple of kids." Keller says arrogantly.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY, PUNK!? YOU MUST BE NEARBY, I'LL FIND YOUR ASS RIGHT NOW AND RIP YOU APART-!!!" Chris yells, his voice full of primal rage.
"Ehehe... Oh no, I'm quite distanced from that building. I certainly wouldn't want to get caught in the bst radius, now would I?" Keller says, chuckling deviously afterward.
"What...?" Pool says lightly.
"Well, I'll be off now... Hehe... Good luck!" Keller says in a sing-song tone before going static.
Employees all throughout the building look up at the speakers, pondering what the Grandmaster's st statement meant before it clicks in the heads of others. All of the employees realize what was going to happen, they start screaming and running for the exit to the building, clumping together as they all try to brute force themselves to the front of the crowd. Back in the Headmaster's Quarters, Nond was the first to realize the situation, he quickly turns to the others, panic flooding his face.
"We need to go right now!!! This pce is gonna get blown sky high!!" Nond screeches.
Sending Nond's urgency, Chris and Corry immediately go to the rescue. Chris runs ahead and picks up Nond while Corry lifts up Pool. They all jump out the window, Chris and Corry yell as they hit the grass below as they had just fallen from the third story of a building, however they shake it off and start running. The ground starts to rumble beneath their feet, Techway soldiers finally are able to escape the building, trying to run as far as they can before the building detonates. The crew barely makes it to the edge of the forest before the building explodes violently, lighting up the sky with a vibrant orange glow as debris flies in all directions. Chris and Corry hop behind a giant tree to try and use it as a shield from the bst. It felt as if the air itself was shaking with the burning pressure of the Techway HQ, even the ship's that were out in the back of the building started self-destructing with groundbreaking force. Most of of the Techway employees were unable to escape, being annihited with everything else. The tree that the crew was hiding behind gets ripped out of the ground easily, the crew holds on for dear life as the gargantuan piece of wood soars far away from the bst radius. After about 15 seconds, the tree smashes down deep in the forest, causing the crew to smack into the woodnd floor as soon as the tree makes impact. Nond yells loudly, as he had nded on his injured arm. Corry's flies down headfirst, getting his noggin lodged in the dirt like an ostrich. Chris tumbles along the ground before smacking into one of the titanic roots of a mutated tree. Pool nd on her back in a puddle of mud, slightly cushioning her fall with the side effect of making her extremely dirty. Corry pulls his head up out of the dirt, leaves and sticks also falling off of his head.
"Ouch... Is everyone ok...?" Corry asks wearily.
"It hurts so much, can we please get back to the ship!?!?" Nond squeals.
"I'll live...." Chris grunts, getting up. He was now covered in various scratches and bruises.
"I'm quite ok..." Pool whimpers, standing up as well.
"L-Let's just... Get back to the ship..." Corry groans.
Chris and Corry help Nond get up before walking silently back towards the ship. It was a dreadful feeling for most of them, there was a greater evil within Techway, and much worse, he seemed to have some very psychopathic tendencies. It was scary towards most, people like the Grandmaster were usually unpredictable.
".....Damn it....!!! All those years I spent in their ranks and I never even knew about the Grandmaster.... What, was I not good enough for him!?" Chris mutters.
"It's ok Chris... We just gotta find this Keller guy and then defeat him... Well, after we've recovered a bit of course..." Corry says, trying to be reassuring.
"H-He... He killed all of those employees... His own minions... Without issue... All of those humans are dead..." Pool says, completely shook.
The crew keeps walking in silence, filled with sadness, anger, fear, and disgust at the prospect of such a horrible person.
"....Tell me, Corry... How are we gonna find this guy? We don't have any means of doing so, we'd be going on a wild goose chase to who knows where." Chris says spitefully.
"Oh... Well, I... I didn't... Think of that..." Corry says sadly.
"I know how to find him..." Nond says suddenly.
The rest of the crew looks at Nond, curious as to what he was implying.
"How?" Corry asks.
"When I walked into clearer view of that window, my watch was picking up a strong electromagnetic signature. I'm pretty sure it was being emitted by the Grandmaster. If I can put that signal into a better tracker, like the one on the ship, it can probably pick up the exact same wavelength that the Grandmaster was giving off." Nond expins.
"That's... That's a great idea! Nond, you're a genius!" Chris excims.
"Eh... Ehehe, well I have my moments..." Nond chuckles, still clearly in pain.
The crew all smile at Nond and his intellectual prowess, causing his face to flush lightly from embarrassment. After a little bit longer, the ship can finally be seen. The crew walks into the main lobby where MAPI was waiting happily on a couch for their return.
"How'd it go? Were we victorious?" MAPI asks joyously.
"Not this time, MAPI... But maybe next time, we'll get them." Pool says sweetly.
"Oh... Well... The most I can do is cheer you on and continue helping you with tasks around the ship." MAPI says assuredly.
"Thank you MAPI. Anyways... I'm gonna get the ship up into the air. Nond, could you get to work on that signal once your arm is all patched up?" Corry asks.
"You got it." Nond affirms.
"I'll help bandage your arm Nond, leave it to me!" MAPI says kindly.
"Thanks MAPI, I'll be in the b." Nond says, grinning.
Everyone nods to each other before going off to do their own thing. Nond and MAPI walk down the hall to the b. Chris and Pool head on down to the cargo bay, and Corry heads up the elevator to the command bay. When Corry arrives, he presses a bunch of buttons and flips and flips some levers before putting the ignition key into the port and twisting it. The ship starts to rumble as it powers on, then Corry raises the ascension switch, causing the ship to lift up out of the forest and start flying forward yet again.
"This Grandmaster... I wonder how strong he is. We couldn't even see him, yet he sniped the Headmaster with some kind of weird attack... Those didn't look like shots from one of those energy rifles, they looked like threads almost... What kind of guy is he...?" Corry asks himself, sitting down on his bed.
Chris was ying on a rge metal crate in the cargo bay, looking up at the ceiling. Pool was standing next to it, looking up at Chris.
"What are we gonna do? The Grandmaster seems to be very confident in his skills... Are you sure we'll be able to defeat him?" Pool asks worriedly.
"Don't worry about it Pool... I don't have any worries whatsoever. We will beat that jerk... I'll make sure of it." Chris says confidently.
"If we can't...?" Pool asks, now slightly doubtful.
"Again, don't worry about it... I swore we would take down Techway... So that's exactly what we're gonna do." Chris says, still staring upward...
In the b, MAPI was just finishing up wrapping up Nond's injured arm.
"You should be feeling better after some time." MAPI states.
"Alright... Thanks a lot MAPI. Sorry I'm asking so much of you, but do you think you could raise the satellite dish? I want to put this signal in." Nond expins.
"Never be afraid to ask me something, I'm always willing to help!" MAPI says happily.
A monitor drops down from the ceiling and MAPI crawls inside. The satellite dish on top of the ship turns up to the sky slowly, becoming operational. Nond takes off his watch and hooks it up to his computer, tapping some buttons on the screen of his watch to get things ready.
"There's The wavelength we're looking for, now to put it into the tracker..." Nond says to himself.
The waves appear on his computer screen as a loading bar appears. The ship begins scanning for the same signal. Eventually, a green dot appears on the screen, it seemed to be moving away from their current location very quickly.
"Aha!! There's The Grandmaster we're looking for! Now I just gotta-" Nond starts before getting cut off by a beeping sound.
He looks at the screen and his excitement instantly shifts to terror. There were now two more dots on the screen, all in different locations. Nond slowly gets up from his seat, putting his hands on his head.
"N-No... That signal was exclusive to that Keller guy... That must... T-That must mean there's not one... But... Three Grandmasters...!?!?" Nond gasps...
To be continued....
