Chapter 9: When the God of Justice Crashes My Party

Kaito barely had time to process the warning before a thunderous boom echoed across the skies. The once peaceful Divine Lounge trembled as a powerful force descended upon it.

A massive golden portal ripped open above the floating isnd, and from it emerged a towering figure cd in gleaming white armor, radiating an aura of absolute authority. His piercing golden eyes locked onto Kaito with the weight of a thousand divine judgments.

The other gods froze mid-bite. Even the God of Chaos, who was happily munching on a divine steak, quickly wiped his mouth and sat up straight.

The God of Justice had arrived.

  ---

  "Kaito, Primordial God of Creation!"

His booming voice carried the weight of countless divine ws. Kaito winced as if the sheer wful energy in the air was squeezing him.

"You have created a realm that encourages divine negligence!" the God of Justice continued, stepping forward with thunderous strides. "Your actions threaten the bance of the heavens!"

Kaito scratched his head. "Well, yeah, but hear me out—"

"There is no hearing out!" the god interrupted, his aura fring. "Laws exist for a reason!"

Kaito groaned. "Man, I just wanted a chill pce for gods to rex! Is that really a crime?"

The Goddess of Order sighed. "Technically, yes. The divine bance relies on each god fulfilling their duties. If everyone starts scking off, the entire system colpses."

The God of Chaos smirked. "Or maybe it evolves into something better?"

The God of Justice shot him a gre. "Silence, troublemaker."

  ---

A Divine Courtroom in the Sky

Without warning, golden chains wrapped around Kaito’s wrists, yanking him into the air. The clouds above swirled, forming a colossal divine courtroom floating in the sky. A massive golden scale hung in the center, glowing with celestial energy.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Kaito filed. "A trial?! Aren’t we overreacting just a little?"

"The ws must be upheld!" the God of Justice decred.

A chorus of divine figures appeared around the courtroom, murmuring amongst themselves. Some looked amused, others concerned.

The Goddess of Fate leaned forward. "You may plead your case, Kaito."

Kaito sighed. "Fine. Here’s my defense: Gods are overworked. We deserve breaks too!"

The crowd murmured. Some gods nodded in agreement, while others looked scandalized.

Kaito continued, "I mean, come on! Eternal existence with nothing but paperwork? That’s torture! A little rexation won’t kill anyone!"

The Goddess of Wisdom hummed. "He does raise a fair point."

The God of War grinned. "I wouldn’t mind a divine battle arena in that lounge..."

The Goddess of Love cpped her hands. "Oh! A pce for divine romantic getaways would be lovely!"

The God of Justice's eye twitched. "This is not a debate on expanding leisure activities!"

Kaito smirked. "Sounds like you’re outnumbered, buddy."

  ---

  Verdict: Conditional Freedom

After a heated debate, the Goddess of Fate raised a hand, silencing the court.

"Kaito," she decred, "your actions were reckless, but your argument is… intriguing. We shall allow the Divine Lounge to exist, but only under one condition."

  Kaito gulped. "Which is…?"

"You must still fulfill your divine duties."

A new notification popped up in front of Kaito.

  > [New Title Unlocked: The Working God]

You must bance divine work and leisure. If you sck off too much, the God of Justice will personally smite you.

  Kaito blinked. "…Wait, what?"

The God of Justice smirked. "Enjoy your ‘freedom’, Kaito. I will be watching."

With that, the golden courtroom vanished, and Kaito found himself back in the Divine Lounge—but now with stacks of celestial paperwork waiting for him.

Kaito slumped into a heavenly couch, groaning. "Great. So I got my paradise, but now I have actual work to do. What kind of scam is this?"

The God of Chaos handed him a drink. "Welcome to godhood, kid."

  Kaito sighed.

  Maybe being a god wasn’t all i

t was cracked up to be…
