The cold night air filled the sky as Marvin and William made their escape from the prison. The echoes of their hurried footsteps faded into the distance, swallowed by the dense wilderness ahead.
"We escaped the jail," William breathed, his voice filled with exhiration and relief.
"Yes, we have," Marvin replied, his tone calm but resolute.
William looked around, unsure of their move. "So where do we go now?"
Marvin didn’t answer right away. He stared into the darkness before finally saying, "We go to N?rsēville."
"And how do we get there?" William asked, crossing his arms.
Marvin paused for a moment, then reached for the ax strapped to his back. He held it up, the metal gleaming uhe dim moonlight.
"We use this," he said.
William eyed the oically. "An ax?"
Marvin nodded. "This is not just any ax. This ax spoke to me. It was once wielded by a great warrior."
"What’s a warrior?" William asked, tilting his head.
Before Marvin could respond, the ax, known as obog, began to glow with an eerie bergy.
"Warriors… were powerful… entities that… kept Modules around the… Modur System safe… from evil hands…" obog’s voice was slow and fragmented, as if it struggled to recall a memories.
William furrowed his brows. "Then why don’t we know about Warriors? Shouldn’t they still be proteg us?"
"The… Ruler…" obog whispered ominously.
Marvin’s eyes narrowed. "Armeirus?"
A sudden banging from behind them interrupted their versation. The B-Bot cops were ramming against the prison doors, their metallic fists pounding louder and louder.
"We talk about this 'Warrior' stuff ter," Marvin said, gripping obog tightly. He raised the ax high above his head. "obog! Lead us to N?rsēville!"
In response, obog unleashed a bck, electric-like void, f a beam pointing toward their destination.
"So it’s that way," William observed.
Marvin nodded. "Yes."
"Follow the path… once… you get close enough… I will start flickering," obog instructed.
The duo ventured into the forest, the air thick with an eerie silehe trees loomed over them, their a branches creaking in the wind. No animals stirred, no birds sang—only the whispering wind apahem.
"Careful… though… this is the Forest of Wrath…" obog’s voice warned. "It is one… of the five… most deadliest forests… The enemies here… are quite… strong…"
And with that, obog fell silent.
Marvin and William pressed forward, the darkness swallowing their figures as they delved deeper into the treacherous woods.
William broke the silence. "Old man?"
"Yes?" Marvin responded without looking at him.
"What are we going to do once we get to N?rsēville?"
"I will ask around about the previous wielder of obog."
William’s eyes gleamed with curiosity. "So you’re as ied as I am."
"I suppo—"
"What burden was obog to the warrior? Why did he turn away from society?" William interrupted, his voice filled with questions. "Are there others like him—"
"William, enough!" Marvin snapped, his voice firm. "He had his reasons for leaving the ax behind. He had his reasons for isoting himself. Those reasons are his own. Do not pry."
William frowned. "Then why do you want to meet him?"
Before Marvin could answer, a meical whirring filled the air. William turned his head and gasped.
A group of five corrupted B-Bots emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with malevolence.
"Old man! Look!" William shouted.
Without hesitation, Marvin tightened his grip on obog and lunged into battle. The corrupted B-Bots charged at him, but Marvin moved swiftly, slig through them with precise strikes. The st one fell, its body ly severed at the hip.
Marvin flicked the ax around, using it to guide them toward N?rsēville. As they walked, ruins began to emerge through the mist.
William surveyed the area. "What happened here?"
Marvin examihe crumbling walls, trag his fingers over an a inscription. He read aloud, "Home—To—The—B-Bot Giants."
He paused, then turned sharply to William. His expression was grim.
"William, get out of here! We are on someoerritory—"
A monstrous growl rumbled through the air. They looked up.
A B-Bot Giant loomed above them, its meical eyes burning red.
"A giant?!" William excimed. "Out of all things, why a giant?!"
"William, stay alert!" Marvin ordered.
The giant roared and swung its massive fist toward Marvin. He dodged, but the creature grabbed him and hurled him into a crumbling wall. Marvin gritted his teeth, f himself ba his feet.
With incredible speed, he charged at the giant, slig deep into its belly, leaving a gaping wound. The beast roared in pain and swung its massive hand at Marvin, but he parried the attack with obog.
Marvin’s strikes became more relentless. He leaped onto the giant’s arm, ran up its body, and with a final, powerful swing, decapitated it. The giant’s body crumbled, and Marvin drove the ax deep into its chest, destroying its core.
Marvin stepped back, breathing heavily.
William whistled, impressed yet slightly disturbed. "Yeah… It’s gonna take me some time to get used to the decapitation."
Marvin exhaled, regaining his posure. "e, let us move on. N?rsēville awaits us."
The two pressed forward, the ruins fading into the distance. After some time, obog flickered.
"We are here," Marvin announced.
William looked ahead at the glowing cityscape. "So this is N?rsēville… It’s really lively."
Marvin studied the town, its bright colors and bustling streets standing in stark trast to the dark forest behind them. "I suppose."
He turo William. "e o’s search for someone who knows about the warrior."
William nodded. "Right."
And with that, they stepped into the vibra of N?rsēville, their search just beginning.
