Celosia didn't care about her mother's new friends at this point, it was clear to her that they were just going to take Isobel's side now, like the group of friends that her mother had back in Agatho. She didn't even care to learn their names since they often just stood around Isobel like vultures, praising her like she was the leader of a cult, and they would looked down at any outsiders to their group such as Celosia and Reiki.
As Celosia continued going up the hill to Besant, she walked by less and less houses until she was just walking up a rge white line, the sun made it look like Celosia was walking in a white bright void.
She paused at where she was standing, so she can look around the hill since she still had time before her first homeroom began. She can see trees that made out the long forest and the wide green fields just outside of them, they looked beautiful, she thought.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
"Huh?" Celosia's gaze around Fmel soon came to an end by a voice behind her, she turned, a slight smile on her face
Which dropped upon meeting eye contact with the man, Celosia's entire body paused upon meeting the man's gaze, there was no doubt about it, those pair of eyes were defintely the same ones she saw that night at the Convience Store, watching her, Haruo and Sota and when he appeared in her dream, he even matched his appearance of a long brown trenchcoat, which almost covered the dark brown pants that he wore too, as well as his almost dark shoes, covered in mud, his skin was white.
Maybe it was just a coincidence, but the way he was looking at Celosia, reminded her again of that figure that she saw, still, she remained polite for now. "Y-yeah, it's n-nice to look around from here, although this is my first time looking at it from this part of the Isnd." Celosia tried to keep a calm composure, but she let slip a couple of fearful stutters through her facade, which the man seemed to have picked up on, causing Celosia to curse silently over showing fear, but he didn't press her about it.
"Well, from my time here, Fmel seems to be beautiful like the other pces that I often go too as part of my job." The man moved closer towards Celosia, who took a step away from him.
"Oh, did I scare you?" He asked, confused by Celosia backing away from him.
"I just wanted to give you space." Celosia lied.
"But yeah, I love this Isnd, although my social life on it won't be as good." Celosia ughed, but, it came out awakard.
"Yes, well, it's just too bad that this beautiful Isnd is, crawlling with... Them." The man looked agitated a little, the smile that he was dispying dropped.
"Them?" Celosia, didn't understand what he meant by that.
"Please don't tell me your a racist." Celosia asked with hesitantace and with a little angry, this would at least give Celosia an excuse to get the hell away from this man and continue her way to Besant if he was a racist piece of shit.
"Oh no, I'm not, I mean them." The man crified.
"Their just about everywhere, but we can't normally see them, Fmel is said to be full of them." The man's gaze, more creepy then before, moved back towards Celosia, who thought he was just sounding crazy now.
"And they took away a friend of mine." He sounded, angry now, his voice sounding of muderous intent which Celosia picked up on.
"Allright." Celosia moved aside, wanting to get away from this man now as soon as possible, not only because of his resembnce to the creep she saw in the forest and her dreams, but he was acting like one too.
"I, need to go---Where are you going?"
He interjected, his eye twitched in a slow manner and while it didn't make a sound, Celosia could feel, or hear the eyeball move down with a wet slink py out in her thoughts.
He noticed that Celosia was wearing a uniform. "That's, a school uniform correct?" He would ask, his eyes looking back up to Celosia's face, who remained silent.
"The only school around here that has a uniform policy, is Besant Academy up ahead." He said, putting two and two together,
"Are you, one of them too?" He showed off a near perfect smile, but one tooth, on his right, was crooked, which ruined his set of teeth.
This finally got Celosia to speak again as she gred angerily at the man. She was still creeped out by him, but her anger rose more then fear as she didn't want to know what he would do if she wanted to mess with him and said that she was this "them" he was talking about.
"Why the fuck does it matter to you? Isn't it creepy for a grown man to ask a teenage girl where she's going, especially if he doesn't know her?" Celosia sharply pointed out.
"You don't even know my name." She growled at the man, hoping her angry response would get him to back off and leave, she could see his smile close up.
"And besides." She scoffed.
"Who's to say that I just like the uniform that school has and that I'm skipping school back in the City District, because I hate it?" Celosia also raised doubt to the man that she was going to Besant at all, his smile finally dropped.
"Huh." He seem, perplexed, as if what Celosia had said to him was a challenging question then for him to back off.
"You don't seem to have noticed them, like many other people in this Isnd have after all, compare to me." He backed down, but Celosia remained confused.
"What the fuck are you even talking about?" She asked, sounding tired, just by talking to this man now. He dug into the pocket of his trench coat, and pulled out a card to hand over to Celosia.
"Feel free to call me through this card, if you notice them." He said, Celosia just, looked at it.
"I'm not really interested---" But before Celosia could finish, the man shoved the card onto her hand.
"Well I insist, you don't know when you might see something, strange on this Isnd." He sounded, urgent as if he wanted Celosia to take the card or something bad was going to happen.
"I don't think that's going to happen." She replied firmly before looking down at the card with a sigh at this point, the man finally began moving away from her.
"That card will save your life when they reveal themselves, don't hesitate to call me." The man began to walk away after he smiled to Celosia once more.
The card was entirely white, and there was a symbol of the earth on the top of it, as well as four stick figures, two male, and two females standing on the top of the symbol, as well as the name of the organisation that the man works for. The organisation, was called, Humanity's Order, and the man that had given Celosia the card was called David Vagt according to the card.
David knows that Celosia would call him with the card eventually, he was sure that anyone that takes his card will call him for his and Humanity Order's aid.
He can picture it now, that in Celosia's darkest moment, she'll find his card, and use a phone to call for his help from them and---
David suddenly heard the sound of paper being ripped, like for instance, a card. Shocked, he turned back to see his card had been ripped in two, with it's remains nding by Celosia's feet.
"Thanks for your weird advertisment, but I'm not interested." Celosia began to back away, she didn't want to turn her back to David, she was worried that he might do something since they were the only two people around, but, David didn't say anything, he just, watched Celosia leave, without any emotion to his face.
Which creeped Celosia out the further she distanced herself away from David, when she got up the good distance from the hill she turned and sped walked the rest of the way up the hill.
Out of everyone she had met so far in Besant, David was the creepiest and she couldn't get that connection to him and the figure in her dreams out of her head now after noticing the resembnce.
She tried to get her mind off of David as she approached Besant, having finally arrived to those brick walls and the bronze gate that she saw a week earlier, and when she got to the front of the school, she noticed students standing around near the front entrance.
It was here that Celosia noticed the male uniforms for the first time, they had a red bzer like she thought she would have for her uniform, like with the dress, it reached up to their wrists, they also wore a white buttoned shirt with a bck tie as well as bck pants and shoes.
The school looked massive as Celosia looked over the multitude of buildings standing in front of her, there was three buildings in total, with Celosia being only able to see the rge gymnasium and the main building she was currently staring at.
The main building had about six floors and a rooftop, it was bigger then Gyges she thought, which was a retively small school that only had two floors along it's long structure.
"Excuse me." A girl called out, Celosia turned towards the voice.
"Huh?" She was met by the approaching girl, she wasn't wearing the beret, allowing her long blonde hair to hang around. Her face was clean and smooth and she had white skin, making her look beautiful, she also had a neckce of a small purple crystal around her neck.
She also wore blue shades, which made Celosia confused as to what color her eyes were supposed to be, as the shades made them look like she had blue eyes, but it could always be something else, she was out of breath so she must have ran towards the school.
But, she quickly composed herself, as if she couldn't allow herself to look as though she was going to colpse from running. "Has school started yet?" She asked, a little panicked stricken before turning towards the students standing outside.
"There's still people around but the five minute warning bell could have still been let off." The girl looked hesitant as she continued looking over the students, who didn't seem to notice her or Celosia.
Celosia was just happy that she was finally talking to someone normal today, besides the shades that the girl was wearing.
"Nah there's still around forty minutes before homerooms start." Celosia assured the girl, who smiled in relief.
"Besides if we were te then this pce would be empty as hell." Celosia added.
"And if it's anything like my old school, a teacher would find us and have a breakdown over us being te." Celosia joked, but the blonde haired girl was shocked over how someone would react that way over a pair of students being te.
"That's an, overeaction." The girl noticed.
"Your joking, right?" She asked as Celosia slowly stopped ughing.
"Sadly, no, take it from someone that witnessed something like that happening." Celosia's face didn't frown, as she still had a smirk on her.
"That sounds like a terrible school, are you new here by any chance?" The girl would ask.
"I actually haven't seen you here before, and believe me, I know a lot of people at this school." The girl added, but she became perplexed as she tried to see if she recongised Celosia from someone she had seen at this school, Celosia shook her head at the girl.
"Yeah I am, there's probably a few people that have the same hairstyle as me at this school, so that's why you probably think that I'm famir." Celosia would expin. The girl stopped thinking about where she had seen Celosia before and looked relieved again.
"So my brain's not making me go crazy, thinking that I've seen you before." The girl chirped.
"That's good to know." She would add, Celosia pointed towards her hairclip of the martian.
"Well, you can recongise me from this hairclip. I'll also be wearing the school's beret so that would narrow it down." Celosia said, it soon quickly came to her attention that she doesn't even know this girl's name yet and she could be her first possible friend here.
Besides Haruo and his family, since they mentioned that they attend this school too, they must be already inside the school.
"I'm Celosia by the way, Celosia Barnes." Celosia would quickly introduce herself to the girl.
"I know you may have already heard about me, given what happened to my aunt and uncle and the tters's work on the city council, so yeah, feel free to ask any questions if it's quickly numbing your brain like before when you tried to think that you've seen me before." Celosia said, finishing off her lengthy introduction.
But the girl just paused and continued to smile. "Oh no, I don't have anything to say, other then my condolenses." The girl said, becoming sympathetic over what happened to Peter and Evelyn.
"Anyway, my names Vio Mould." The girl in turn, introduced herself to Celosia, who paused now instead, as if she had come to a realisation about something, but she wasn't sure what it was.
She didn't know why she felt this, irk just now when Vio had introduced herself. She seemed nice, but she just felt something, off that Celosia couldn't pinpoint.
Maybe it's because she's met so many people who treated her like crap already that Vio would likely be the same, but then again, Haruo and Sota didn't give her that feeling, maybe it was just her body feeling jittery for starting a new school.
Vio noticed the silence on Celosia's face. "Is something wrong?" Vio's face showed concern, as if she had done something wrong to upset Celosia, this caused Celosia to snap back to reality and speak.
"Oh, n-o, nothing's wrong." Celosia quickly came up with an excuse as to why she spaced out just now to Vio.
"I was just realising, your well known around Fmel right? Well, your parents are." Yeah, Celosia realised, Vio's parents owned the Moulder's Mill, named after the family's surname. Her father, Fabian was the owner of the mill, which produces a lot of lumber that helps various businesses around the market and city district of Fmel, his wife, Mia Schroeder, works alongside him.
The Moulder's Mill was one of the easiest pces in Fmel to get a job, because of that, it was the most poputed company on the Isnd.
And, it was also one of it's most dangerous, as Celosia had heard that Fabian and Mia had to deal with a ton of wsuits from the family's of the employers, given the deaths and accidents that had happened on the property.
The company often reaches out to the Fmel city council, according to Gio, she even heard her father talk to supposedly either Fabian or Mia a few times prior already, and now, she was talking to their daughter.
"Yes, the Moulders Mill." Vio stated.
"It is well known, it was probably one of the first things you've seen when you got here." Vio said, she was right about that, Celosia did see an advertisement for it and some lumber produced from the mill being delivered to the market district when she first arrived on Fmel with her family.
Celosia didn't want to bring up the wsuits and all of that shit that was hitting the Mill, Vio probably didn't want to bring it up either, which was understandable, Celosia herself get's uncomfortable too when Peter and Evelyn get brought up.
"Well it's nice to meet you, heh, I didn't expect to be meeting another well known figure on the Isnd." Celosia turned back over towards Besant Academy.
"But seeing as this is a private academy and everything, I'm not surprised if a lot of other rich kids attend this pce huh?" Celosia wondered, if that was the case then she was really lucky to have gotten an admission here.
"Oh you don't have to worry about standing out with rich kids." Vio would assure Celosia.
"I'm actually the only well know girl here, well, besides you of course." Vio herself was in awe that she was meeting another well known person.
Well, someone reted to a well known person, like how Vio herself was reted to two well known people.
"Pfft, yeah right." Celosia joshed.
"I'm only the niece of two well known people, and once they get to know me properly, they'll want to get the fuck away from me as soon as possible." Celosia said, followed by her ughing, but Vio didn't seem troubled by the way Celosia talked just now.
"Well, I don't want to get the hell away from you, even if you might be the type to swear a lot." Vio flinched a little when she brought up Celosia swearing just now.
"Trust me, I do it a lot." Celosia said, looking back over to Vio.
"Well, you seem nice Celosia, and I hope we talk more again ter today, maybe even lunch?" Vio would ask, she would like to have lunch with the new girl, if the mulitude of other students don't stop her first.
"I might." Celosia's sentence became limp.
"But, I'm actually going to look for someone around that time. I befriended him before coming here and he's even a student at this school." Celosia expined.
"So sorry, maybe some other time? When I get adjusted at this school." Celosia would offer, Vio did expect this so her happy expression didn't change.
"It makes sense, yeah, some other time would be great, I, might be busy during lunch anyway." Vio said, before she rubbed her hair, looking worried once more.
"When does homeroom start? I need to attend to morning club duties before it does and my phone's out of charge, so I can't check the time through that." Vio asked, so Celosia checked the time again, where only ten minutes had passed.
"Thirty minutes." Celosia revealed, Vio again looked relieved.
"That's good, well, let's hope we meet again Celosia, it was nice meeting you now." Vio beamed, Celosia would do the same as she lowered her phone.
"You too." Celosia would watch as Vio approached the school, she seemed like the perfect model student and she looked beautiful. It wasn't a surprise to Celosia to see a few students approach Vio to have a chance to talk to her as she walked over to the front door of the Academy.
But, that irk came back to her again as Celosia watched Vio enter the Academy. Vio seemed nice, but she had gotten this feeling that, something was wrong, that this conversation felt wrong.
That talking to Vio felt wrong, that who she was talking too didn't feel like a real person.
What the H?e?l?l? was wrong with her? Could she talk to someone normal for once without doubting herself? Again, it was probably because she was starting a new school and maybe she was still put off by that encounter with David, that conversation just now did help her forget about him, if only briefly.
Celosia herself soon reached the rge bck door housing the main building of Besant, it's golden knockers looked like bull rings.
Celosia soon went inside and almost bumped into a boy with wings getting to---
Wait, a boy with wings?
Celosia turned to see the boy fluttering past her, paying her no mind, as Celosia looked at the other students around the main hall of Besant, they, were all, supernatural, Celosia quickly realised.
There was group of vampires standing near the gathering shade just beside Besant's rge red carpeted stairs. They stood there, so the growing sunlight doesn't horrifcally burn their skin like in stories about them. Celosia was amazed, and yet felt sorry for the vampires, given the fact that they'll be attending school, forever, given their immortality.
Besides the winged boy, some students were witches, warlocks and even cryptid creatures that flew above her in the crowded front halls of the school, which had emerald transparent floors and walls.
Through these floors and walls, Celosia could see supernatural students who breathed through water, like mermaids, mermen, serpents and fish people swimming under Celosia and through the walls, they were going about their morning like everyone else around her, from zombies, mummies, leprachauns, ghosts and spirits that floated through the walls.
Celosia was standing in a school full of supernatural citizens, that were just going about their lives, like in any other school.
Celosia was shocked to say the least, not just because she was in a school full of supernatural students, but because the supernatural itself was real, this wasn't a dream, this was a real pce, and all of those mysterious things she had seen since arriving here were true.
And, when the shock that sted for a minute, wore of.
She smiled at her new school.
