Now that I have mana again, I could probably pass more of the mage tests as well. As long as they aren’t like the captain’s test I should be able to make time for at least a couple of them. I will have to wait and see how things go after the wedding, well after the honeymoon.

  Thinking of that, I should probably plan something more than just locking ourselves in the bedroom. Taking the castle to a nice, peaceful tropical island should be alright, but I need to find something to keep the kids busy. If it is going to be a real honeymoon, then I definitely need to leave the kids behind.

  I am going to have enough on my plate trying to keep four women satisfied and happy. I wonder if I should invite Bella along, I should probably ask Lin if that would be something she wants. Better yet, if Lin wants her to come along, Lin should be the one to invite her.

  It would probably make Bella feel somewhat awkward if I were the one to invite her to the honeymoon. In fact, Lin should also be the one to bring it up to the others, after all she is Lin’s lover. Besides, Lin needs to decide if she is okay with sharing Bella with the others and who wants her as a lover.

  All of that will be sorted out amongst the women, but it needs to happen before the wedding. I hate to say it, but I am going to have to ask Lin to do more things before going back to the library. Then again, it isn’t like the emperor is going to suddenly retract his permission to visit the library.

  Lin can just go back to the library once everything else is done, but she probably won’t be happy about it. Her thirst for knowledge is just as bad as my curiosity, but it doesn’t get her in as much trouble. Well, that is only true until she runs out of easily accessible knowledge, after that who knows what will happen.

  I can see her getting into plenty of trouble looking for lost or hidden knowledge. Of course, by then she will probably already be an archmage, so she should be able to handle it. Unfortunately, I doubt that I will still be around by then, so I won’t get to see it.

  Finally, after being lost in thought for hours, I feel Brightfire starting to wake up. However, when she wakes up and realizes where she is, she is not interested in getting out of bed. It seems that she didn’t get enough last night, but I am not opposed to having some more fun.

  So, we have a bit more fun, have breakfast in bed, and then we finally get up for the day. Once we are up the first thing I do is to empty all of the rooms of the suite into my ring. When she sees all the furniture disappear Brightfire turns to look at me and ask what I am doing.

  “I plan to change the enchantments on this part of the palace and expand the space. To do that, it is better if there is nothing in the way, especially not anything that is enchanted.”

  Brightfire says “Oh, I thought you would be heading back to the trade city straight away.”

  “No, I still have a few things to do here first. How is the training of the palace guard going? Do you need to be around for it?”

  Brightfire says “It is going well so far. That training room is incredible and Albion and Haku have been really helpful. I don’t need to be around all the time, but I shouldn’t be gone too long either. Why?”

  “I thought you might like to come with me and spend more time together. Besides, Lin will want to talk to you in person now that you are going to be one of my wives. I know you have talked in the soulscape, but she prefers face to face for some things.”

  Brightfire says “Sure, I would like that!”

  “Alright. This is going to take me a bit. Why don’t you check on your guards and let your father know you will be gone for a few days.”

  Brightfire says “Okay, but if you run off while I am gone I will never forgive you!”

  “Relax, I am not going anywhere.”

  Brightfire gives me a doubting look, but she still gives me a kiss and leaves to inform people. Meanwhile, I separate the king’s suite from the rest of the palace and turn it into a separate space. This is a vital step and the only way that I can enchant it differently from the rest of the palace.

  Just as I am about to start the new enchantments, I suddenly have an idea that I want to try. For my idea to work, I actually need to modify the walls of the palace to make the suite truly separate. Once I do that, then I can enchant it to be bigger on the inside and still be able to modify it.

  Thanks to my idea, I am able to make the suite into a three story space instead of just one. Now it will have a main floor, second floor, and a basement, just like the castle. In fact, when I am done the king’s suite is basically going to be a miniature castle.

  If I wanted to, I could even make it so that it can shrink and be taken with me. However, I don’t really think that is necessary, I already have a portable castle after all. I am mainly doing this to have more space without taking over more of the palace.

  After finishing the enchantments, I head into the suite to organize and furnish the rooms. The upper floor is just one big bedroom and a huge bathroom, the main floor is a kitchen, lounge, and second bedroom. Finally, the basement is a secondary workshop for me to use when I am not at the castle.

  I use the furniture from the king’s bedroom for the second bedroom and make all new furniture for the main bedroom. The reason for this is that I need a much bigger bed than the suite originally had. The bed I make is big enough that I could sleep on it in my normal form and still have room to spare.

  I figure that should be big enough, even if I have all four wives with me at the same time. Thinking along those lines, I put four wardrobes in the bedroom, one for each wife. Sure, they have shapeshifting clothes, but that doesn’t stop them from wanting other outfits.

  I make the rest of the furniture and then move to do the same for the downstairs as well. I don’t do anything to the basement right now, I need more materials for that. I also need more materials for the other thing I want to add to the main bedroom, a gate.

  I plan to make a dedicated gate, like the one to the southern empire, that links this bedroom to the bedroom in the castle. Since I am not adding an artificial spirit to these rooms, I add switches in each room to control the time dilation. That is the last that I can do for right now, so I head out and go looking for Brightfire.
