With Camil’s help and his usage of Magic, Vd used Float and his sister’s Telekinesis to create a huge sphere of winds and invisible psychiergy. With it, he was able to rapidly move the entire goblin group, which was around 120 of them together.
It was a rge amount sidering they were so cheap, and eae of them had a little ability or special quirk. Although most of them weren’t that strong physically, they made up for it with their great teical skills, which differentiated them from the average merary group.
First of all, there were a lot of great carpenters and architects that could build rge camps in a day; there were also crafters, alchemists, and even maists, capable of crafting all kinds of little ons, poisonous bombs, potions, and even little gadgets for spying.
The rest were very agile fighters that were amazingly good at archery due to their great senses, big eyes, long noses, and alse ears, giving Goblins incredible sensorial abilities above other races. With this, their accuracy with le ons was superb orained enough.
They were experts at dagger throwing, archery, and sling shooting, and some of them were fine swordsmen, although they would rather not face a foe head-on… One of the reasons why the goblins that went with Gofumina ended up dying.
The only few that were good enough batants that were fident in taking foes head-on were only five: the chief, a huge, muscur Hobgoblin that wielded a giant bone axe ented with dark runes imbued by a goblin shaman in their group that ented ons with nasty effects; Gofumina, a strong pyer; and the Warrior Triplets, a youthful trio of Goblins bifted with greater strength than the rest, muscur bodies, and that wielded huge ons. They were Gofumina’s faithful fans as well.
“We’re here.”
“Woooaaah!”
The goblins all gasped in unison as they saw the city from the skies; even the chief was fbbergasted by what Vd and his sister were capable of, moving a group of over 120 people like nothing!
Their magic power was so immense, he quickly realized how lucky he was to have been fiven and even offered an eveer deal than before.
“Now, you will ehe city through the skies. There are many of you, so I will ask you to remain outside my house. Anybody that is caught trying to steal or doing crimes will be immediately executed by a guard,” Vd expined. “We do not tolerate criminals of any kind here.”
“You heard him; if you steal and you die getting caught, it’s your damn problem!” The Hobgoblin Chief said. “I will not defend thieves!”
Although goblins were well known for being thieves, this merary group had a certain code of honor; their chief, who they sider a father figure, didn’t tolerate criminals of any kind. Those that enjoyed killing people, especially is, were not allowed, even less pulsory thieves and so on. And whenever he caught someorying to do something nasty, they got an even more nasty beating befetting kicked out of his family.
Maybe if he wasn’t as strict, there might be over five hundred in his group, but this was also the reason why they had survived for this long without destroying themselves by harb selfish members that only cared about their own gains.
“Y-Yes chief!”
Gofumina nodded, walking by Vd’s side with the chief; Camil was by her brother’s side, looking rather happy about the oute, and Emerlinda was also there, looking all nervous.
“U-Umm… I haven’t e here yet, right? Vd, is your mom going to be okay with me? I e from Fantasia and…” Emerlinda was nervous.
“Don’t worry, she’ll be fih it,” Vd said. “Ia, guard the goblins so they don’t escape or something.”
“Yes, master.” Ia smiled, quickly leaping out of the ground and reag the rooftop of a nearby building. Summoning her crimsoles, they surrouhe goblins as guards, without letting any try to sneak out.
“Was that necessary? My boys are well behaved,” said the Hobgoblin. “I’ve handpicked the best ones; my team would be bigger if I didn’t, but that’s what makes them a family and not a band of criminals.”
“Yes, it is necessary; I just met you,” Vd said. “Call me whatever you want; I am merely being cautious.”
“Hmph… fair enough,” the chief nodded, crossing his burly arms. “Woohoo, what a huge house this is! My first time ever entering one… Fancy! So this is where Vampires live… Never in my life did I think I would get to see such a pce.”
“Chief you’re a way too much like a try bumpkin, you’re embarrassing me…” Gofumina facepalmed.
“W-What? I’m just being ho here! What’s wrong?!” The chief felt shocked his daughter was calling him ge.
“Vd? Is that you?”
As they walked ihe house, Vd’s mother walked downstairs as she heard people inside, quickly notig her son and her daughter and smiling happily.
And then, her cute smile ged into one of suspiciousness after seeing Emerlinda, and then bloodthirst after she saw the goblins.
“What are these guests, my son? Did y these criminals to be executed?” She wondered, her bails growing long like cws.
“C-Calm down a bit! Nothing like that!” Said Vd. “They’re meraries I recruited, and…”
Vd expio his mother what had happened so far; he went into detail about Emerlinda too, the battle against the cultist, and everything else.
It sure was a big day! Full of so mas… he was really tired.
“I see… I uaer now, I suppose,” she nodded. “Although you should’ve simply killed them instead…”
“But they’re very useful,” Vd said. “I ot let go of such talent. Also, if we use Binding Blood Vows with them, they won’t betray us.”
“B-Binding Blood Vows?” The chief felt a bit afraid after hearing that.
“Aaah…” Gofumina sighed. “I khey would pull something like this!”
“Of course, did you expect us to just let you join us? Yoing to vow your loyalty for life,” Vd smiled.
“Indeed… And you better do so if you don’t want to lose your lives,” his mother nodded.
The Chief and Gofumina quickly learned of the Vampires’ two-faess.
